How do you find words to properly express when your life has been saved? I don’t have that answer, but I am going to try my best. High Focus SAVED my life. I came into the program with a shattered heart, low self esteem, scared, and badly wrapped in the negative narrative I had about life/people. I was never taught how to understand my emotions. I used mean words as my weapon to hurt those I felt hurt me. I assumed that would always be my life. I never thought I could learn healthy coping skills. To me, I would always be a broken woman. Yet, High Focus introduced me to a world where emotions can be regulated, healing is real, my past does NOT define my future, the broken little girl within can be loved, I control my life (not others), I have the freedom to choose me, and good things can happen. My therapist (Fedline Joseph) held my hand every step of the way. Even when she knew I was ready to soar, she didn’t pressure me. She allowed me to discover my inner strength. She listened (never judging). She reassured me when life felt bleak. She taught me boundaries can be cratered and I can stick to them. She taught me I was not born broken. Every encounter was intentional; every class was meaningful; every therapist was encouraging; every lesson taught me how to peel away layers of trauma; and every friendship was authentic. I graduated the program a joyful, confident woman who held her boundaries and loved herself enough to continue the healing journey. Everything about the program was life changing. I now wake up grateful; I check-in with my feelings; I pay close attention to my mood and environment; and I give myself grace. Thank you High Focus. Thank you Fedline. Thank you Monica (the nurse practitioner who was AMAZING and excellent at medication management. She listened and made sure my paperwork for Short Term Disability was completed on time. Notes that needed to be sent to my insurance company were always completed professionally. I never had to worry about anything “behind-the-scene).”

High focus helped my 13 yr old daughter find her voice and confidence again. Their program taught her how to self-regulate, express herself effectively and the ins and outs of scientific research when it comes to mental health. They also provided parents with a workshop every two weeks which were so helpful. They welcomed our family with open arms and embraced my girl with love and support. They also helped to mend the relationship between my daughter and me and taught me how to bond with her in a way that makes sense for both of us. We still have some work to do moving forward, but she is moving in the right direction, seeing a therapist twice a week and working through some anxiety about going back to school in the fall. Thank you Lyndon, Alli, Roni, and Hannah for everything! 😍

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

High Focus Centers Johns Creek Outpatient Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Designed for individuals who don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a form of outpatient care with a higher level of support. PHP treatment can be an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down option. With daily sessions lasting 6 to 8 hours, up to 5 days a week, a partial hospitalization program may offer medication management, relapse prevention techniques, and behavioral therapy interventions. PHP treatment can be fully or partially covered by insurance.

Clients enrolled in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) travel to treatment centers for specialized care multiple times per week. Intensive outpatient treatment allows clients to receive robust care while continuing to live at home. Most programs require between nine and 20 treatment hours per week, with the frequency and intensive of sessions decreasing as clients stabilize. Services generally include a combination of addiction counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), recovery-focused life skills training, and holistic therapies.

Treatments

In Georgia, specialized dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs address co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Care levels include outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization. Therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy, equine therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, skills training, and recovery groups — like 12-step — support you in achieving sobriety and sustaining recovery. Developing the tools to establish a solid support system (or strengthen an existing one) will also increase your chances of long-term recovery success.

Programs

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

While each person is unique, the typical length for dialectical behavior therapy is six months to a year. You'll attend weekly hour long individual sessions with your therapist, as well as weekly group sessions. Homework between sessions often includes keeping a diary to track your emotions and behaviors. Your therapist uses this diary to guide the focus of each session.

In trauma therapy, you address the emotional and psychological effects of traumatic events in your life. Your therapist provides you with the tools you need to process those memories and reduce the symptoms. This helps improve your overall mental health and functioning.

Men and women in Georgia may experience Motivational Interviewing techniques while undergoing individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This approach helps you explore how you feel about drug use and it strengthens your commitment to maintaining treatment. It is particularly useful in the early stages of recovery.

People in Georgia find that group therapy offers a place to share responsibility for each other's recovery. This helps foster a collective commitment to sobriety, which increases your potential for success and creates a network of mutual support that often follows into personal friendships.

Many life skills involve coping with emotions and stress. Others involve completing tasks that allow you to live independently. Examples include finding a job, managing finances, and nutrition. During rehab in Georgia, you'll work on any skills that are lacking to ensure you have the tools for success post treatment.

During family therapy sessions in Georgia, members address the emotional toll that addiction has had on them. Therapists help your family develop coping strategies and improve the family unit's communication. This provides a stable environment that supports the recovery process.

Our son spent a few months at High Focus in Johns Creek after spending a week at an inpatient facility. He attended the PHP followed by a month of IOP. It was a wonderful experience for him. The staff was very supportive and good at what they do. I enjoyed the family group sessions as well and his therapist, Abigail, was so kind and knowledgeable. A lot of healing took place and we couldn’t be more grateful at the outcome. Our son is doing very well and now has the skills to continue forward. Thank you High Focus!
