Lyra is awesome! She takes the time to truly understand the needs of my child. I truly appreciate having someone that can relate to his teenage and cultural experience. At such a pivotal age, having someone that he can confide in is essential to his developmental success. Without her, I am not sure that we would have truly understood all that was going on with him and we are now able to install the necessary supports for his success. Thank you, Lyra!

Do not recommend this place for a psychiatrist. Had a 4:00 appointment and waited OVER 45 MINUTES for them to show up, which they never did. If you want fast results and someone who KEEPS their appointment times, HIGHLY DO NOT recommend going here

Accepted Insurance

High Focus Centers Lansdale Outpatient Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Rehab After Work & Rehab After School offers various outpatient therapy skills support and therapy groups designed for those that have abused drugs and/or alcohol in the past but are no longer using them. Some of these groups include age-specific groups, gender specific as well as co-ed groups, early recovery skills groups and co-dependency groups. Depending on the specific location you choose, these groups will vary and are offered at different times throughout the week. Please contact the specific location you are considering for more information.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
These programs are designed for individuals that have been using drugs or alcohol and need frequent sessions to maintain abstinence. Some clients attend this outpatient addiction treatment program to gain control over their substance use problems before further inpatient treatment is required. Other clients attend this program as a step-down outpatient therapy option following an inpatient stay.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Seeds of Hope is an Intensive Outpatient Program specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and offering support and direction for individuals in crisis or struggling to function on a regular basis. It is often an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or can be a transition for individuals being discharged from an inpatient stay. They treat clients in the least restrictive environment which allows many to maintain their daily lives and routines. Clients are supported in group settings by using a multi-modal approach consisting of Process Group Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy and Educational Nutrition Therapy.

Family members, parents, and/or support persons are required to be involved in the individual’s treatment and are counseled as well to help their loved ones succeed. In addition to their family outpatient therapy offered as part of the IOP, family therapy sessions are provided as individualized family therapy for the specific client and their family members. These appointments will be made as requested by the client, family, or counselor during the day or evening hours. Family therapy appointments can be made for any type of family members, eg. parents and child, spouses, or loved ones.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Groups are kept to an average of 8 members so all individuals get the focus needed for successful outpatient therapy.

Individuals can seek individual outpatient addiction treatment therapy sessions at any time during the program. Clients are assigned a counselor and develop a needs-specific treatment plan. The frequency of visits per week will vary based on the individual’s needs. Appointments can be scheduled either during the day or in the evening.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Sound therapy (aka sound healing or vibrational medicine) uses sonic vibrations to stimulate healing at the cellular level. Vibrations, either from the human voice or resonant objects like tuning forks, gongs, or Tibetan bowls, affect cellular resonance in the body, which can help heal the impact of anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.

the staff here are very supportive and they actually want you to get better. during process groups they actually help you work through your issues rather than just letting you sit there and complain. a lot of phps don't do that, and complaining doesn't really help you solve the issue. the therapists will help you come up with solutions and ways to work through your obstacles rather than just throwing a list of coping skills and worksheets at you. the groups here are very helpful, and i especially liked Tari’s groups. this php has actually helped me work through some of my issues and i definitely felt like the therapists cared and understood what i was saying. if you have to do a partial program, i would definitely recommend this one!

My teenager did an IOP program at High Focus this fall. The process was smooth from the very first phone call to the intake appointment to the treatment program, and even with billing. Lyra worked actual magic to get my resistant child to commit to going and by the end we had seen real progress (and said child even said they would miss the group). Lyra communicated with us as parents regularly, both with phone calls and with in-person appointments, and she has a way of connecting with the kids while also encouraging the skills they practice. I have dealt with a lot of subpar therapy situations, and High Focus was hands--down the best we have encountered. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

From beginning to end, High Focus was helpful and caring. I started in IOP with Justin Walters. He led online meetings were participants would meet and discuss 4 days of the week. Justin was the perfect fit for me, he was patient, kind, and ready to get individuals to be introspective and take accountability. I enjoyed every meeting as Justin had plenty of topics and ways to motivate the group to share. I transitioned to OP were I was glad to have Justin leading my group again. In this group, we met once a week also online. Justins enthusiasm for helping individuals with problems seemed just as high as the last group. Many of the folks in the group also had the same sentiment. I'm glad I found a beneficial place such as High Focus and it was only made better by Justin Walters.
