About Rock Recovery Center

Even their traditional rehab program isn’t really ordinary. While it includes standard components like recovery focused education, relapse prevention training, and life skills training, you’ll also have access to individual, group, and family counseling, job coaching, and transportation to local 12 Step programs. If you want to incorporate elements from the adventure or fitness based programs into your treatment plan, that’s allowed, too.

At this facility, they emphasize physical fitness as a major part of recovery. While you work on your mental and emotional health through counseling and education, they’ll help you get your body in shape. Their fitness program is a natural complement to the meetings and therapy sessions they offer and is designed to make you stronger so you can heal better. It’s accessible with all of their outpatient services.

Their adventure therapy treatment is included in their partial hospitalization program. It allows you to connect with a peer group while you test your limits and explore new frontiers. The adventures take place in a natural environment outside of the rehab building and require you to use teamwork, problem solving skills, and communication to complete fun tasks.

Former clients who have spent time in these programs reflect fondly on their time there. One said he had no idea what he was walking into but left with an excellent skill set that’s helping him in recovery. Another said the team members felt like family and that their life is now beyond where they ever thought it could be.

Six months ago, I walked into Rock Recovery Center broken, hopeless, and convinced that nothing could help me. I had tried to get sober before—more times than I can count—and every time I failed, a little more of me faded away. My addiction had taken so much from me… my health, my confidence, my dignity. Worst of all, it had taken me away from my kids. I was there in body, but not in spirit. They didn’t have their dad, not really. From the moment I arrived at Rock Recovery Center, something felt different. The staff didn’t just see me as another addict—they saw me as a person. They looked past my mistakes and saw who I could become. They listened when I spoke, they cared when I struggled, and they believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. They taught me so much more than how to stay sober. They taught me how to live. How to take responsibility. How to be present. How to be the man I always wanted to be but could never seem to find. They helped me learn how to truly be a father—how to show up for my kids emotionally, to lead by example, and to give them the version of me they’ve always deserved. They also stood by me through some of the hardest decisions of my life, including navigating a divorce and making the choice to relocate from New Hampshire to South Florida for the sake of my sobriety and long-term well-being. While I’m now farther away from my kids physically, I’m closer to them in every way that truly matters. I can be present, supportive, and dependable in ways I never could before. Today, I can say I’m not the same person who walked through those doors. I am sober. I am present. I am a better man, a better father, and a better human being. Because of Rock Recovery Center, my kids have their dad back—and I have my life back. If you’re reading this and you feel like there’s no way out, I’m living proof that there is. Rock Recovery Center saved my life, and I will be forever grateful.

Rock Recovery did for me what I couldn’t do for myself at the time they helped me rebuild my life from the ground up. The therapy here is absolutely incredible, and the staff truly care in a way that’s rare to find. They treat you like family from the moment you walk in, and you can feel that their hearts are in this work. I’ve never seen a treatment center run with this level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication. They don’t just help you get sober they give you the tools, support, and hope to create a life you actually want to live. I am forever grateful for what Rock Recovery has done for me.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare. Once clients have been with the facility for a minimum of 90 days, clients transition into an OP level of care. This translates into a client only having to attend one group per week and to see their therapist once weekly. The time duration at this level of care is different for everyone depending on the client.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. IOP program is designed to allow clients to have enough freedom to start incorporating themselves back into the real world after completing inpatient treatment. Rock Recovery Center groups offered multiple times throughout the week to give clients a variety of options when it comes to their treatment experience.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Rock Recovery truly changed my life. I came in broken, unsure of myself, and overwhelmed by the weight of addiction but from the moment I arrived, I was met with compassion, understanding, and unwavering support. What sets Rock Recovery apart is their incredible use of nature and outdoor adventure as part of the healing process. The water therapy sessions were some of the most powerful and grounding experiences I’ve ever had. Whether it was surfing, swimming in open water, or simply sitting beside the ocean during group sessions, those moments helped me reconnect with myself in ways I never imagined possible. The staff genuinely cares. They took the time to know me not just my addiction, but who I was underneath it all. Every therapist, counselor, and support staff member showed deep empathy, knowledge, and a passion for seeing people heal.

My experience at Rock Recovery Center was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly seen. The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are compassionate, professional, and many of them have walked the same path, which made all the difference. Rock Recovery didn’t just help me get sober, they helped me heal. The therapy sessions, group work, and daily structure gave me the tools I needed to understand myself and start building a better life. I never felt judged or alone, and the sense of community among the clients and staff was something I’ll never forget. Huge shout out to my amazing therapist, Nicole. She’s by far the best therapist I have ever had. I’m pretty sure she knows me better than I know myself. She’s patient, understanding, and very knowledgeable. This place gave me hope when I had none, and I’m forever grateful for the second chance they helped me find. Without Rock Recovery, I don’t think I would still be sober today. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, Rock Recovery Center is a place that truly cares and can help change your life.

I came to Rock Recovery straight from detox, feeling doubtful if I could ever truly get sober and stay sober. I had tried multiple times before on my own and failed. From day one, Rock was different. I felt unsure at first but quickly realized this is where I needed to be. The techs, counselors, and alumni are all incredible. The staff don’t just talk about recovery they live it. They lead by example and show you what’s possible if you are willing and keep showing up for yourself with an open mind. I am beyond grateful for the experience. Rock Recovery gave me the tools, support, and real-life guidance I needed. If you’re willing to do the work, it absolutely works. I’m so thankful for what I learned and for everyone who walked alongside me during this life changing journey. What starts as going to Rock Recovery turns into having a team of friends who have your back!

Rock saved my life and my sanity. I needed a recovery program that employed more than classroom group sessions. The adventure aspect works! The activities are designed to get you active and interacting with other people. Don't get me wrong, they do have the classroom group sessions and the moderators and therapists are amazing. The staff are incredible and each one brings a special perspective and approach to help the clients. They truly care and are passionate about helping those in need. I would highly recommend Rock to anyone struggling with addiction. Whether it's your first time in recovery or your 20th, get a piece of the Rock.
