They earned my trust and helped me save my life. The staff is truly the best hand picked employees a rehab center could have. I am happy to say that after my daughter completed her 120 days where she received such personal care and attention that she decided to stay of her own free will. I have met and spoken to most of the staff and I could not be happier with the program. I live 3 hours away from the facility so it was nice that I was able to get updates on her care and to be able to speak to her therapists regarding her progress. In 10 minutes, I'll be going to a meeting to pick up my 1-year chip ❤️ From the moment I picked up the phone and spoke with the rep, Trisha, I had an amazing experience! She and my sister helped me coordinate my trip, as I was in no condition to do so myself. Within hours I had an airplane ticket and a bed. The first week is a daze. But I was comfortable, taken care of, and well fed. They also accommodated my dietary needs. The med staff paid close attention, monitoring vitals, and doing extra check-ins as needed (ex: coming during the night to check blood pressure if too low). The medication made detox comfortable, and made me feel safe (a major reason I chose a center was fear of DTs/death). The staff doctor was great, too. While there, we were offered groups that were very beneficial. These included relaxation/meditation/ mindfulness sessions, communication classes, and chiropractic services. There were fun activities like tiedye and group painting. H & I also came in daily, or was run by house staff. This was my intro to AA, which I've come to love and embrace. The rooms were comfortable, with a TV for each bed (head phones provided). My particular roommate situation was incredible! 3 of us text regularly, and are certain to be lifelong friends. The grounds are beautiful! The courtyard is a lovely place to relax and socialize. The back yard area has activities like corn hole and yard nuts. There's a sandbox that I called my beach, and would lounge and journal with my feet in the sand. Initially, I planned on detox, only, and then returning to Michigan. When I realized that detox was only the first step, they had reps from rehab facilities visit to help coordinate the second step. Shout out to Kenny, Kat. Marissa, Kenith, Rick and Felicai. I'm sure staff has changed, and that I've forgotten many names. But I'll never forget the amazing people that helped me start my road to recovery. I encourage anyone that if you're tired of being sick and suffering and are part of the LGBTQIA+ community then absolutely come. There are opportunities for success and a chance at freedom. There's nobody constantly yelling at you to be great and the staff loves their clients wholeheartedly. Although some of the negative reviews are a bit disappointing, don't let that discourage you from coming to Inspire because it has a real chance of saving people lives. You do not have to suffer anymore and you don't have to do it alone, but let's be honest.....it's a rehab facility and you take what you put in. If you're here to fornicate and play around then I can't promise you success being here. If you put your all and want what this program has to offer, then take the chance that can really do something with it. Yes people have relapsed and all that other stuff that previous reviews have stated. But this is the battle of addiction and inspire cannot save you from yourself. I had always believed that rehab and therapy were for weak people. Basically people that were losers. Going to Headwaters proved me wrong. It was a decision that changed my life. Actually, it basically saved my life. The professional approach, the well-trained staff, and the absolute love that you feel from every single person there is what stood out and continues to stand out to this day. I struggled with addictions for more than 30 years. The detox part scared me so much that I held off going to any rehab for at least 5 years. The medical team at Headwaters was there every step of the way during my detox. There was empathy, but there was also the feeling of "do what we say or this will not work." It took a full 2 weeks, but I got through! The counseling, the group therapy, the one-on-one therapy and the well organized daily plan was what I needed. The plan is tailored to what each individual needs, and the people at Headwaters saw it through, even though there were days that I wanted to give up. The people there were not going to let me quit. The support for my family was incredible. My time at Headwaters not only helped me, but there was support to help my wife and children immensely. They had no idea what to expect and Headwaters helped them through. Headwaters saved my marriage, made it better than its ever been, and has helped my relationship with my adult children. The therapy and honest self reflection taught me a better way to communicate with my family. I was at Headwaters for 5 weeks. I have been out 3.5 years. Six months ago, I walked into Rock Recovery Center broken, hopeless, and convinced that nothing could help me. I had tried to get sober before—more times than I can count—and every time I failed, a little more of me faded away. My addiction had taken so much from me… my health, my confidence, my dignity. Worst of all, it had taken me away from my kids. I was there in body, but not in spirit. They didn’t have their dad, not really. From the moment I arrived at Rock Recovery Center, something felt different. The staff didn’t just see me as another addict—they saw me as a person. They looked past my mistakes and saw who I could become. They listened when I spoke, they cared when I struggled, and they believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. They taught me so much more than how to stay sober. They taught me how to live. How to take responsibility. How to be present. How to be the man I always wanted to be but could never seem to find. They helped me learn how to truly be a father—how to show up for my kids emotionally, to lead by example, and to give them the version of me they’ve always deserved. They also stood by me through some of the hardest decisions of my life, including navigating a divorce and making the choice to relocate from New Hampshire to South Florida for the sake of my sobriety and long-term well-being. While I’m now farther away from my kids physically, I’m closer to them in every way that truly matters. I can be present, supportive, and dependable in ways I never could before. Today, I can say I’m not the same person who walked through those doors. I am sober. I am present. I am a better man, a better father, and a better human being.
