About Beachside Rehab

The detoxification program is a medically monitored program overseen by professionals. individuals have the option of a medicated or non-medicated withdrawal process. Comfort services will be provided as much as possible to each client.

The inpatient program provides 24/7 supervision in an intimate setting designed to bring a high-end experience to recovery. Individual counseling, experiential therapies, health and wellness activities, trauma treatment, and group education are provided. This program aims to stabilize individuals and help them learn how to identify their core areas of challenge while equipping them with new skills to succeed in their recovery.

Outpatient treatment provides mental health counseling, dual diagnosis treatment, and addiction treatment services. Aftercare services are also provided on an outpatient basis. It is suggested that those who have completed their inpatient treatment program, step down into an outpatient level of care to receive ongoing support.

Beachside Rehab accepts calls to learn more about their programs, fees, and insurance options. If a person wants to use insurance, it is important to remember that out-of-network benefits may vary. Verifying coverage before starting any treatment program is helpful for most individuals.

Beachside Rehab has completely changed my life. I stayed in residential for 30 days, switched to PHP for 14 days and am now transitioning into IOP. If I could utilize this facility forever, I would probably never leave, but they gave me the help and confidence to fully trust myself and my environment to move on from Beachside. Molly Graham is an amazing therapist who really helped me through my family issues and navigate my new diagnosis. She always made time for me even when it wasn't a session day. She never made me feel less than for not know how to handle certain situations and she always found a way to greet me almost every single day. Diana is the best trauma therapist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her technique and ability to really speak to your mind and soul is like nothing else. She really is a special human and therapist who individualize her therapy to fit each person. The BHT's are always an amazing comfort during your stay here and really take the time to get to know everyone individually. I am extremely fortunate and happy with the coping skills and help I have received from Beachside. They will forever be apart of my story and I will recommend them to anyone who is in need of Mental health or substance abuse help.

Beachside is a wonderful environment that truly cares about your goals and needs. If you're in need on inpatient therapy I would highly suggest this place. At first I really did not want to come but I met many lifelong friends and really discovered myself. The building is clean and well cared for. The staff is lovely, and will accommodate you best they can. The pool, gym, and other amenities are very nice and well kept. I highly recommend anyone who needs a little mental health help/ or a lot, to choose beachside.

Accepted Insurance

Beachside Rehab works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

If a person with a substance use disorder continually denies their problem or refuses to get treatment, a drug intervention in Florida may be necessary. Intervention services can help mediate the intervention by providing an addiction expert. This professional can de-escalate situations and facilitate a healthier discussion between the individual and their loved ones. Specialists can also help families handle issues they don't know how to navigate on their own.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

telehealth iconTelehealth

Telehealth offers many benefits for Florida residents. It lets you see your healthcare provider from anywhere. This saves time because you don't have to travel to a doctor's office or take time off work to get there. It also provides more options, because you can choose health care specialists who are located far from you.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

mental-health iconMental Health And Substance Abuse

When you have a mental health disorder and an addiction, it's known as a co-occurring disorder. Since treating both conditions at the same time is critical, you'll want to seek out a dual diagnosis treatment center. These specialized rehabs offer the care needed to overcome both disorders, which drastically increases your chances of success in long-term recovery. Types of therapies provided tend to include individual and group counseling, relapse prevention education, coping skills training, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Equine therapy, aka equine-assisted therapy (EAT), is a form of experiential therapy that involves interactions and activities with horses. It does not necessarily involve riding horses, but all activities related to horses, such as feeding, grooming, haltering and leading them. A mental health professional frequently oversees the activities (often in conjunction with a horse professional), and helps patients process their thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns during and/or after the interaction.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Recreational therapy helps you recover from addiction by giving you structured activities that promote your physical health and mental well being. These activities could range from sports and fitness to creative arts and provide a constructive outlet for your emotions and stress.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

It was a great experience and I learned a lot from the instructors. I learned a lot about my addiction and what type of impact it has on my health and what tools to use when I am feeling like using again. I got plenty of recommendations on what to do in the future as I continue my treatment. The approach used here was a big help to my recovery. i enjoyed the mind/body/spirit approach with the additon of facts about the addiction and where they come from and how to cope with them in the future. The facility is well kept and the staff do a great job in keeping it clean and safe. They have great technicians, nurses, instructors and therapy specialists..

I joined Beachside for Partial Hospitalization after completing a residential program at a separate facility. From the beginning I was welcomed and treated warmly by other clients, BHT, medical, and clinical staff. I made many incredible and healing connections throughout the center, and am eternally grateful for the safety and support provided by the program to enable me to continue my healing journey. This facility is as good as it gets for recovery, and in my own way I will miss it.

Beachside was the right place for me to start my journey of self discovery and sobriety. The facilities are clean and there are enough amenities and activities to do on property. I loved that it was max 36 patients in the facility for a more intimate feel. The staff for the most part very educated, friendly and helpful. The food is ok, therapist and trauma therapist were amazing. Overall while room for improvement, Beachside is a wonderful place.

Extremely disappointed from this place. My son was admitted a week ago, recently diagnosed with bipolar type 1. The reason why I decided to send him to a rehabilitation program in the first place was to help him understand the disease and the importance of treatment. He was discharged previously from the hospital with Olanzapine and Wellbutrin. He has been compliance with Olanzapine but has not been taking the Wellbutrin because was giving him stomach pain. When he was admitted to Beachside they knew he was only taking Olanzapine. When he started this program he did not take the medication the first two days but continued taking it afterwards. Today, I received a phone call that they sent my son to JFk hospital without any signs of delusions or psychosis and my son was automatically discharged from emergency because he did not meet criteria to be baker act. I picked my son from ER two hours after he was sent there and we drove to Beachside to discuss the situation. When we arrived they told me at the beginning will only discussed the situation briefly, they basically wanted to talk in the hall and I told them let’s go to a room to discuss it. Kalie, one of the managers and the psychiatrist nurse nurse practitioner extremely rude and unprofessional, telling they did not have the obligation to discuss it because he was not a patient there anymore, and they will do it as a courtesy only, all his clothes were packed in the waiting room and he was automatically discharged when they sent him to ER with the police. Never even called the hospital to check on his status and assume family member will go to pick him up. They claimed that on Monday he did not sleep thru the night but yet he was not manic at all but they were afraid he will possible de compensate, which never happened. They were assuming that because he did not sleep one night. The nurse recommended another medication, which he refused and she did not even allowed the Olanzapine to fully work. They assumed he was delusional because he was talking about suing them due to the way he was treated. They were talking about grandiosity when talks about his marketing business because they did not believe him, which is true he owns his company. We left Beachside and I had to come back because they did not even give him his medications and the insurance will not cover too soon because it was recently filled. It has been a nightmare. The purpose of a rehabilitation center is to help patients understand their disease and the need of treatment and it takes some time for someone to accept they need to be on medications for the rest of their life. I am a medical professional and treat patients daily, mentally stable and is difficult for them to accept medications, patients with diabetes with complications, hypertension among others conditions. What would you expect from someone who was recently diagnosed with a mental illness ? I brought my son home with me, he is not delusional or psychotic. They just did not wanted to work with me. They collected $1200 deductible and who knows how much will they charge my insurance and only kept my son there for one week. I also would like to say that to my surprise this rehabilitation place sells nicotine products, they even call me to ask if I will authorize the purchase of an electronic cigarette for my son because the credit card on file was under my name. Also my son who has been dealing with marijuana addiction and we have been trying very hard for him to quit because it will exacerbate his condition, well he told me that he smoked weed while there because another patient had marijuana vape. Very ironic that this place is suppose to help with addiction. I do not recommend anyone to bring your love ones if you are looking for a place for support and help for them to have a better understanding of the disease. God bless everyone

Immense power struggle, do not recommend due to the managements egotistical ways of treating their patients If you are looking for a good retreat for rehab whether substance detox or mental health beware of choosing without a in person visit as there was a astronomical difference in their brochure even in what the building looks like. Seems they are selling patients information under the table and treating them as a check rather than to check them into a better place they will backer-act anyone no matter the intake reason.

Beachside has been a great experience for me - the staff is wonderful & kind. The room was comfortable & my roommate & I paired well together. The group sessions give you a lot of insight into addiction as well as behavioral changes. There are also trauma therapist on site if you need to work thru any trauma. The food is good as well as a variety of food & they will tailor to your preferences. There is also outings (beach, bowling, equine) so that you’re not cooped up all the time. Thank you Sonya, Monica, Diana, Tyler, Rashid, Christian, Kristy, all the techs, nurses (especially Jerry) and the housekeepers. I recommend this place for your recovery.
