About BAART Programs – Beverly

BAART Programs Beverly in Los Angeles, California, provides outpatient addiction treatment services for those struggling with opioid addiction. They provide recovery services for addictions to prescription opioid pain medications, fentanyl and heroin. Two medication assisted treatment (MAT) options available at this facility are methadone treatment and buprenorphine treatment. You’ll receive one of these medications in combination with individual counseling. BAART Programs Beverly also offers personalized care services such as medical check ups and integrated primary medical care. They provide support for life after treatment to ensure you have long term recovery.

Staff members will help you decide whether methadone or buprenorphine is the best option for treatment. The process will involve determining the right dosage that can best support your recovery. Once the right dosage is determined, the facility may allow you to start taking your medication at home. In individual counseling, your counselor will focus on helping you achieve your recovery goals by teaching you how to cope with change, deal with tough times, and make good choices.

They work with every client to make sure treatment is affordable to them through payment options or insurance plans. If you need additional help with your recovery, the facility will connect you with community resources that can assist you. BAART Programs Beverly welcomes individuals who are in the process of transferring from other treatment centers. They’ll coordinate with your previous treatment provider to ensure a smooth transition. Coordinated pregnancy treatment is also available to help expecting mothers overcome addiction while ensuring the health of both the mother and the baby.

Located on Beverly Blvd, the facility is not far from Dodger Stadium and Downtown Los Angeles. It’s also close to Elysian Park, where you can enjoy a nice hike and a scenic view of the city while reflecting on your recovery treatment.

This place is amazing, they have helped to change my life ! The groups, the hours, the intake process, the whole program overall is awesome. My counselor, Vilke, is a very thorough and an integral piece of my recovery process. She really takes her job seriously and that's certainly a relief in this world mostly full of corner cutters and lazy people. She's great at helping me understand and work through my issues and she's really sweet too as long as you show her respect as well! BAART is lucky to have her as part of their recovery team! Thank you for being there when I needed it !

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opiate Addiction Treatment Centers specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

My friend was courtesy dosing at the Beverly program from Riverside County. From the day he walked in the staff was nothing but argumentative and rude. He paid for 5 days of dosing and missed the Saturday and Sunday that was paid for because of not knowing the correct hours of operation. When returning on Monday they told him he had to pay again that he paid for Sat, and Sun and missed those days so he lost his money. I would think they would extend a credit for two days. When he went in on Tuesday and took his Insurance card, they wouldn't even run it through. He paid the $12 with a $20 bill and they wouldn't give him change. They said he had a credit for the next time. If that is true, then shouldn't he have credit for the two days he already paid for? Someone is making money off of these clients and it should stop. Where is the compassion for these men and women who truly have addictions and their funds are usually limited. Rather then put up obstacles, I would think that someone would try and find a better way than discouragement. Sensitivity training should be a requirement for anyone working at these kind of facilities.

I was recently reassigned a new counselor, Herman, he has been really helpful and flexible with scheduling my sessions. I am very happy with how he has handle the transition from my previous counselor. Herman has been extremely helpful and supportive. BAART Programs Beverly has really helped me stay off opiates and I can’t see going anywhere else.

The counselors are very nice but the dosing windows can take hours to give everyone there dose. There are 3 windows but only one is ever open. They don't have separate lines for single does and take homes, so expect to be in line for a VERY long time every day.

I booked a last minute appointment for a physical I needed for school here. Scheduling was very easy and I believe I spoke with Belinda who was very sweet and so patient. She was able to squeeze me in for a appt within 1 week. Nurse Ophelia was very warm and caring throughout the entire visit. She naturally gives off so much warmth and compassion towards each patient and it goes such a long way. Throughout the visit, the provider (C. Nwosu whose name I got from reception), shows great compassion and care. There was no rush through the appointment and they both kindly took their time to address my questions and concerns. I am very pleased with the quality of service provided by the medical staff here at BAART!

This place aint like it used to be a couple yrs ago when anyone was able to get their dose increased without having to get an ekg. I dont know how that got brought into play but unfortunately i am one of the many that has been waiting , and complaining , and still waiting after 6 months and 2 counselors and god only knows how many requests to the doctors and no response. This place used to be able to take their patients seriously that wanna quit and allow them to create their own dosage intake at their comfortable level and not have everyone there that is there for only a paycheck and not the clients. Im getting really tired of juggling methadone and fetynol and i dont have the time to do both anymore. Hoping making this post the higher uppers will step in and talk to someone on my behalf cause im not wanting to quit the clinic id rather quit the dope but i need more than a 110mg and my heart is fine i dont need no ekg didnt before do not need one now . And the last time i came here my usage was over double what i do now on fetynol but im still at coming down off of 4 grams a day. Please help me out and also put someone else in charge other than the supervisor u have in there now he makes people drop out instead of staying but noone will speak up besides me from day 1 he was very rude and lets just say he has no people communication skills . If u gave us a 100 % guarantee that our feed back towards the clinic and staff that it wont hurt us for speaking up . U would get the truth on how we feel about this clinics operations and maybe the ones that left would come back . Im at the point where im losing faith in this place and if they or u wanna kick me loose for speaking up then go ahead. But next week i hope i can efit this rating with more positive one after i get my dosage increased
