Most major commercial insurance plans are accepted at Behavioral Health and Family Services, as are Medicare and Medicaid. Generally being there twice... feel like it made me worse. The first time there was a little girl that seriously needed help... they just looked at her and laughed very immature! The second time (Diana to be specific) she would pick fights with the kids make fun of them and encourage fights? We had a fight Almost everyday because of her! She would body shame people... Horrible place i had one outburst and but me on tbe strongest medicine.. The people who drew my blood were NOT trained! Popped 3 of my bains looked and laughed... Doctors are not trained... Please don't take a loved one here!...

Was sent on an EDO for 72 hours. Was told on intake I would only be there 72 hours. THIS IS A LIE. They tell you that you can either sign in voluntarily and you ll be out between 5-7 days or you can file a 4 hour release form, which they will hold you for 14 days THEN go through the courts to see if they can release you. Some nurses truly care but they re overworked and stretched thin. Some patients need MHMR, others need a psychiatric hospital- not this place and it seems like the coordinators do not care for the difference. The first 45 minutes I was in the facility itself I had to practically start a riot for them to follow their own rules. I mean if they won t follow them why should I? Find somewhere else to take your loved one who needs help. Find anywhere else. Now I need therapy to recover from this place, as they made my anxiety even worse. Like I said, some nurses truly do care. Mykayla, Agnes, and Elizabeth on the evening shift are absolute saints. I hope you 3 find a better place to work that respects and values you the way you deserve.

Accepted Insurance

Behavioral Health Center the Permian Basin works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. This place is far from mental health recovery. The staff is incompetent and really doesn't give two shits about you. They treat you like five year old and laugh when you ask them a simple question or just ignore you completely. "Groups" consisted of bingo and coloring with markers. I wish they would fire the technical staff because they don't know what they are doing. So if you have mental health issues and want to be treated like a dog then go here.

Lily Barnes, you are spot on your review. That place is horrible. Run down and falling apart. There are some staff members that care but for the most part it’s about keeping you as long as they can to get paid. My experience was horrible. Don’t not recommend to anyone.

I took my daughter there. I seriously thank God for them. They helped her so much. She is doing alot better now. She said the nurses psychiatrist and staff were amazing. She was treated good. The food was good and she felt safe. In between sessions, they had activities and went outside and kept busy. Thank you all nurses and staff for everything

i have mixed feelings about this place. I sent here in febuary in the adolescent's unit. They gave me a journal, and i would write in it and stuff, i asked someone in there for their number, and April took it up. They didn't give it back to me for the rest of my time there. Its against some type of code or something to take it away permanatly. James, he was funny and stuff, he gave good advice, but he was so epic and awesome to us and he helped me a little bit with my work, he was the last person i also a little mean. mrs Christi was awful to everyone in there and made me and many of the other people in there feel worse. :( jaime, he was so epic and helped me out. Diana was a little nice but she was loud at night, a lot of people were loud at night. There was a kid in there who made lots of people uncomfortable and we complained about him, they said we were bullies, but he didnt respect our triggers and stuff. They blamed us on it a lot. Jason was nice and not nice, in my session he asked why i think he cares for me and that was honestly rude, and from that full session, it felt like he just wanted fun money. Then again, he was very kind and gave us candy and stress balls and small advice. Santos was funny and serious when you really needed it. because of this place, im still here, but i felt a mix of feeling like i was a burden and i felt cared about. this place is kinda weird..

My brother was taken there suffering from dementia some aggressive behavior. Before he was admitted he was not sleeping at all. He would walk all day and night. Destroyed things in the home. Was not eating or wanting to take his medication. The doctors and staff members were so upfront about his behavior during his stay there. I was stressed out being a caregiver. They sent him home a new person. He is sleeping now and eating. The doctor tried several medicines until he was prescribed the right one for my brother. In my opinion they were my lifeline and savior. Thank you sooo much.
