Absolutely good for nothing ! Even falsely reported to courts that I chose to stop attending treatment when they told me they wouldn't be able to let me continue group meetings due to their lack of progress. After no use for more than a year and clean ua given , inconclusive results of evaluation until 6 months later . After receiving a month in jail for not having treatment plan, it was reported I needed a year of treatment for "severe substance use and continued alcohol use."In reality, I haven't drank alcohol for more than 5 years . Unprofessional management , that caused far more harm than good . Totally regret interacting with that facility.

They do not provide reasonable accommodations for disabled people to be able to inject insulin. Also they do not post signs of the time frame that there at lunch so potential clients have no idea when they will return seems. They will not take bank cards or credit cards at all they claim to take cash and I don't have change. The reception staff seems to be very rude I had to go to the director to request access to the restroom for reasonable accommodation for disabled person.

Where to begin with this review! The people at this location and the Aberdeen locations are very rude and disrespectful and have no regard for people's mental health or their health worries. I had stated for months that I needed to be put back on my antidepressant and they completely disregarded it. Not to mention they were blaming me for their incompetence of reminding me of the appointments that I needed to have via text message which is what I asked for, they've blamed me for being a no show on zoom when I clearly was there and zoom was messing up and I called to explain that to them, and they completely blamed me for not complying when I have been. They also have not been giving updates to DSHS in regards to my ABD so that I may keep my benefits to try to get on social security. When speaking on the phone today with the main head of this branch, they lied to me they targeted me and treated me as if I was no lower than dirt. I have switched to a better company that I feel will fulfill my needs, and I will not be recommending this place or the Aberdeen branch to anyone because of the malpractice being shown and the incompetence of people who are being immature and not understanding a person's mental health and thinking they know what's best for them when they clearly don't. I made mention that I had had a suicidal episode and they completely disregarded that and said oh you're fine we're not going to put you back on your meds because it may affect your bipolar in a negative way when I was with them in the past and I was taking it and was just fine these people have no right working in mental health in my opinion if they're going to disregard a person's concerns for their well-being I'm also tired of them lying to me and pretending like they care when they really don't in all honesty if I could rate this review is zero I would give it my advice to anyone adult child or whoever needs mental health help go elsewhere as this place is a joke and a laughing stock

Accepted Insurance

Eugenia Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy meant to be short-term and comprehensive. It was intended to help clients become more self-sufficent and move forward without the need for expensive, ongoing therapy. It includes an emotional self-help method called “rational self-counseling,” the purpose of which is to give clients all the skills needed to handle future emotional issues by themselves, or with significantly less professional help.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The place is excellent, and the treatments work perfectly, the only thing is that the staff can be incredibly rude and disrespectful.

Atrocious. Preferential treatment. I have HORRIBLE memory issues and they do not bother to inform me of appointments in time for me to make it. I'm out of medication and discriminatory treatment documented. Please, I need some help. Lawyer, counselor, anyone? I have a family to take care of and these people are ruining my life...

Norma Castillo, the manager, works very closely with the Lewis County Prosecutor's Office (like weekly) and will gladly throw someone in Deferment under the bus to give the PO a added prosecution. I was in a program for 2 years with no issues (other than the one's made up by Norma) then in my last month they played games with not giving me my UA on time and waited until the last 2 days of the month and then said that I falsified my UA. I sued Eugenia center and got nowhere because they have the PO's office/ Lewis County in their pockets. I now have overwhelming costs due to having a IID for 5 yrs instead of 1.5 yrs because of the way the WAC DOL law is written. They don't teach you much that's useful and play games in class instead of really teaching you how to become sober long term. They don't really care about their patients, just the money! Go to New Directions in Chehalis instead!! They have good Counselors and they aren't a big waste of time and a big joke like Eugenia Center. Eugenia Center makes Millions of Dollars Every year and they don't do anything for their patients but keep them in the legal system and continue to milk $ from insurance companies. Keep away from them completely!!

This center offered nothing more than a terrible experience for myself and my child. Scheduling was a nightmare, we drove 40 mins to appointments that had to be rescheduled upon arrival due to THEIR clerical error (multiple times!), and the staff is wildly unapologetic and unprofessional. The final straw was their thoughtless “solution” to finding a way to help my child which was switching her to an unlicensed male provider… for my 11 year old daughter who is working to overcome sexual abuse by a male predator. I pointed out that the likelihood of her opening up to a male was slim to none and that thought seemed to never have even crossed their minds. Save your time and find somewhere that will be worth while for your family.

They are beyond unprofessional, the secretary thinks she can give medical advice to adolescents. And when you try to file a complaint they do not return your call. Some providers aren't even in Washington State and are extremely hard to get ahold of. They in no way shape or form care about their patients or their mental health. This place should be closed down. It's medically negligent!!!!!! They deserve zero stars.

Overall it was “ok”. My sons appointments were rescheduled constantly. The first time I inquired about just receiving his medication from there, they said it’s an all around he has to see a counselor or he can’t get his medication, they rescheduled almost a month out due to the counselor needing to reschedule. The main reason that I withdrew my son was because the constant threat of taking his medication away. The last straw was when they called the day before he was due for his medication refill appointment and left me a voicemail saying they had to cancel because my son wasn’t in compliance with his counseling appointments. I called back and argued with them that I don’t understand how it would be his fault when his counselor couldn’t live up to her expectation and he seen her 2 times and SHE cancelled or rescheduled every appointment and not even really in a timely manner, one time he sat on zoom for 15 minutes before the excuse of “they must of missed each other” then had to reschedule they constant threat of taking medication away from people who are struggling with their mental health is actually kind of disgusting and at no fault to the patient but the person they employed. It’s kind of a scary tactic. The Medication lady Kimberly was great, I would give her the 5 stars if I could. We appreciated Matthew and the efforts he attempted to make also. If you’re looking for some type of consistency I would look elsewhere.

This place will gaslight you and then discharge you without a second thought, they never tried to reach out although knowing I struggle constantly with bad thoughts, they released me knowing I need help and they gave me a diagnosis that never happened, could not keep a therapist for longer than a few months before having to restart again and again, could not get appointments when I'm in crisis and need urgent help. They abandon you. Don't bother.
