I can honestly say that Alternative Counseling is one of the most comprehensive, as well as compassionate counseling services available. Audrey Willis is one of the most knowledgeable facilitators in her respective fields. In my opinion what separates Alternative Counseling apart from the other treatment based programs in the State, is the authentic atmosphere as well as caring staff and facilitators. I am forever grateful for the time that I have spent at Alternative Counseling, it has helped to provide me with a plethora of invaluable tools that I will serve me well in my future endeavors.

Absolutely Loved my stay at Olalla! Great meals everyday 🙌🏼 coffee too(if ya get up early enough). The staff I had during my experience were some of the best counselors & people you’ll meet! Counselors will definitely call you on your BULLSHIT & keep you accountable(Can’t bullshit a bullshitter, they say). So good luck trying to skate by or just faking it to make it. I got down to some good core roots I never thought of before, got a lot of “Dark Things” out in my time here too. Also not too bad of classes either! With a slightly more stoic approach one could say maybe, lots of good new info! Also, when you get towards the end of your stay, if you’re feeling not quite ready to leave, you can ask for extension(s) too. 🙌🏼
This place is really about their patients, as groups tend to be no bigger than 6-12 people, so, plenty of questions to be asked, searched for, & answered!!! I was in the Falcon Group, our group never got bigger than 6-7 people. And it’s males with males & females do there daily groups with just females, allowing for a little more comfort/support when sharing personal matters. Absolutely love Olalla & would recommend this inpatient facility to ANYONE struggling with addiction!!

Royal Life Centers in Sumner is an amazing treatment facility. Everyone has been so kind and they did any and everything possible to make sure I was comfortable, especially when I was in detox! Special shout out to Michelle, Nicole, Lonica, Andrea, Dan, Kayla and all of the nurses! Each one of you has helped me tremendously in more ways I didn't know were possible. Time went by so quickly because of them, and the friends I made in the last 3 weeks. I am giving a 5 star for the most welcoming people that answer the phone. I have tried to get a hold of my doctor for a week, even used my chart. Valerie has helped me through all this frustration and I think she is great. She is so helpful and makes sure my messages are sent but my doctor has been out all week and now she's out next week, returning again on Wednesday. I just wanted to let the staff know that the front desk goes above and beyond to get things done. And I appreciate all of you. I really hope people read these reviews so that employees can get the recognition they deserve! The staff here are just so welcoming, from the physicians to the security staff. I wanted to give a special shout out to Fatima, she has always been so attentive and caring to me during my time with Dr Almond. I was in crisis a few months ago and Fatima went above and beyond to make sure I was seen same day by a physician even though Dr Almond was out. I am doing amazing now on my new medication and Fatima may have saved my life that day by being such a caring and attentive person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Fatima!

I’m very grateful for my experience at Lakeside-Milam. From my first interaction with a Joyce to my assessment with Jennifer I instantly felt cared for and comfortable. When I started the program I was nervous but Bill my counselor instantly made me feel welcome and able to be myself. Which has been so helpful extremely impactful to my growth and success. Prosperity Wellness Center is a place to go to if you are having issues with chemical dependency. I’ve been to treatment at 4 different locations in the state of Washington. Prosperity Wellness Center is by far the best program that I have experienced. My counselor at out-patient treatment heard great things about this program and recommended that I go there in order to receive their duo-diagnosis of chemical dependency and mental help.
On arrival, I wasn’t impressed with the campus. I only saw a small building and a parking lot. In the past, all other treatment centers were connected to either big parks or campus property. Don’t let the appearance fool you. The real magic happened inside that small building.
There is a strict time schedule used in the program there. It is used as a way to put order back into your life. There are daily classes that help you learn how to live a happy life. The classroom exercises help you understand why you think the things that you think and they help you regain confidence when coming back to regular society.
The staff there are very knowledgeable and courteous. They do really care about you and they help you no matter what type of background that you come from. They all have powerful stories and experiences that they share. I felt loved and wanted there.
The nutrition program there was excellent. The meals were really good. The cooks put a pot of time and effort into preparing the meals. The snacks throughout the day kept me from ever going hungry.
What made this program different from all the other programs that I’ve experienced, is that I was able to recognize my higher power and I was able to create a strong family bond with other patients there. I was able to learn how to cope with my past traumatic experiences in a way that I had never done so before. I went there on a voluntary basis and I am happy that I left there as a different man. If you or a loved one is struggling hard with chemical dependency, then please allow this program to save your life.

This place is amazing. Don't let the location put you off. The receptionist is awesome. Very kind, communicative and funny. Her lil puppy is the cutest, too! Alta really cares about the people who come here, I gave birth 11/19/2022 and started Alta December 2022. Since starting my family has had some medical problems one after the other most recently my 3month old had to have surgery. The staff at Alta has been so supportive, understanding & kind. I’m extremely glad this is where I came for treatment, you really can tell they truly care about the people who come here.

This place is actually trying to help you stay sober. I belong to another clinic (for the moment) and I have curtesy dosed here before and had an emergency where I couldn’t get back to my home clinic in time and Amy and Betty Anne (excuse my spelling) and the Front Desk did everything they possibly could to help me get emergency dosing for the day with them even though it was close to closing time. I plan on switching to their clinic closer to my home as soon as I can. They truly want to help you stay sober. They will do whatever they possibly can to help you and be on your team. I truly believe this clinic is the BEST clinic there is. KTS have changed the way they do things.since COVID they are getting people up to higher steps more rapidly.after just 2 weeks I was put on step 6 and now get a weeks worth of " Carry's" and only have to go 1 time a week. All the ladies up front are really nice along with all the nurses. I'm glad that somehow they can deal with some of the stuff and people they have to deal with. If I haven't been going here since they opened (before the fentanyl we have now) I would never think any of the nurses and the gals at the desk to be so nice all the time. Especially when I'm in line behind someone being a real POS to the ladies when it's never their fault if there's any problems. It's always because of decisions the junkies make. I hate asking them for anything because they have to deal with so much already I hate adding to their pile. I've personally had a few times the nurses have helped me when they could have just told me to dose and leave. I can make this review a lot longer, but I'm gonna stop here for now. I don't bounce around from different clinics, but I wouldn't bet on anywhere else doing such a good job

I had a great experience at the Tacoma Health Department. My visit was fast. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes for a birth certificate. The staff was helpful, and the process was straightforward. The total cost was 40$ which I found reasonable for the quick service.

I walked into Bayview at my lowest point in life. It was hard for me to accept treatment. I refused that I needed help. I thought I was fine and that I did not need the help.However that really did change after spending some time in the mental health and substance abuse programs. The counselors were really amazing and the way they structure their program really does help. Every one of the staff is easily approachable and they can all relate to you as the patient in some way. The staff do everything they can to help you and make you feel safe and easy to talk to them. I went in as a broken man and I came out someone better. If you really want to get better, this is the place to do it. Anyone here that writes a bad review or says that it did not work here in the review section did not try to get better. Instead they are blaming a place that truly cares about the patient and they gave up on themselves.Again if you really do want to get better come to this place because I cannot think of another program that is well structured, professional, and as caring as Bayview.

Ok at first I give them a 1 star I was being reviewd by women ! They had no f’n clue !
As soon as I got a man things picked up ! However still not where I need to be almost a year in my dose is still not powerful enough so I have to take double or even tripple the amount to still barley feel it working !
The result a lot of wasted time running out early I mean it sorta sucks ! However my psychiatrist is pretty good actually I like him a lot however it seems like it’s taken forever to get me on the right dosage for my Adderall. Hopefully this will change because month supply last a half a month and I don’t feel it working. Life is too short to be not feeling the way I’m supposed to feel and get my projects accomplished, I guess if you really need it you hardly feel it. Well, I guess that’s my case so we get a four star

Thier front office is great use but living on their tacoma campus is dirty and covered in trash across the street be careful homeless go through your trash and spread it out on my balcony The workers there are always trying to rush me out always to take a smoker's break and very pushy and harass. So he helped Demanded me to follow him around and took me to the wrong building, but demanded that I would talk to a front desk staff first before going into my apartments building was of no use and followed me everywhere. I would go. Her you can get shower kitchen stove toilet windos door keys door and mailbox 10$ to replace. Had to replace very old blinds and have roach and spinders everywhere have to work and get your own supplies supplied me with bed and kitchen tools I believe they put cameras in room like hotels

Seamar is definitely what you make it but but the staff there is so accommodating and they truly care about the people that come there and will work with you if you truly want to get clean and better your life! Honestly if anyone has something bad to say about the place it's just because they weren't ready to change their life! SeaMar set you up for complete success leaving their doors from housing to legal stuff to doctor and mental health appointments. They let you smoke cigarettes and take you on outings every other week and genuinely understand what their clients are going through. I couldn't recommend a better place! Just remember if you want the help it's definitely there!

This place is great! The staff is amazing and they genuinely care about their clients. The food is amazing and the management is efficient and fair. I was there for a month in May of 2024 and I can't think of one negative thing to write. If you're struggling and you want to change your life, this place is for you. Next week I will have 8 months clean and I couldn't have imagined how my life would change! Don't hesitate, if you're thinking about going just do it, if I can do it you can too!
