Update : I am now a year sober and could not have gotten here without the education, connections, and resources provided my Lakeside Milam.

This place was amazing, energy from this place is something I cannot explain, it is just so peaceful and calming. Even my visitors felt this and wouldn't want to leave. The counselors and support staff make such a wonderful sense of community, most of which are recovering addicts themselves and do not act as if they are any better than the patients. I came in completely broken, unable to leave the house for years, couldnt walk from a bad back and lack of exercise. They healed me emotionally, physically, spiritually to a point that I could have never hoped for in my wildest dreams. I'm not the same broken man I was walking in. I have hope, mobility, sobriety, tools and knowledge to remain sober and so many new life long friends. Olalla will always have a special place in my heart.

Great facility. Amazing staff. Sure they bill your insurance, that's how it works. Lol Your drug dealer billed you. The counselors were awesome, the food was outstanding and the recovery is real. Anyone complaining didn't want it.

I didn't want to leave when it was time even though I had to stay an extra nine days for my obligations to the courts.

Counselors here are excellent! Kevin was my counselor, very knowledgeable and experienced. Troy and Scott were also very kind and knowledgeable when filling in for Kevin. Would recommend LSM to anybody struggling with addiction.

Kevin, Is a great IOP counselor. Went though our assignments very firmly and thoroughly and made sure we understood what was being taught before moving on, very patient and understanding. I highly recommend this program if you or some one you know is struggling with addiction.

My experience with the health board has always been beneficial in whatever I'm in need of. From DV council to treatment concerns, general health to help with housing concerns. This last visit was to see the dentist and again, the service from making a appointment, to actually being seen was absolutely attentive to all my needs. I was put on a stand by list so, if there was a cancellation, I was offered a earlier appointment!! So I was seen way earlier than I was going to be seen, and I'm not exaggerating the procedure filling a cavity I had was literally almost painless I felt a tiny prick and that was it. Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. I also had my teeth cleaned and that was a very pleasant experience also. Everyone on the team is in good communication with each other so, you don't get the right hand doesn't know what the Left hand is doing run around. And the whole vibe was just professional and kinda laid back. So you can relax and trust your in a professional caring environment. It's excellent for family from kids to seniors. Now the location is definitely urban with urban issues. but, I've never had a problem getting to my appointments and, I take public transportation. However there is parking onsite also. All in all just a wonderful place.

A center full of passionate and committed staff. They promote case-by-case personalized sessions, so you can be sure you will get results because they work according to your needs. They may be rough sometimes, but hey life isn't sugar coated, so why should treatment be sugar coated?

I Went to detox in Hotel California only planning on doing detox. The staff and the enviroment were so great I ended up staying for residential. The program was amazing and I'm going home a new person.

I have really enjoyed my experiences with this location. Both Primary and Secondary care have always shown to be caring, friendly and genuinely concerned with my health and well-being. They have also always been on time with my appointments. Thank you to all the Doctors and staff.

My orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Chansky and his staff were excellent at every stage of my knee arthroplasty. I'm grateful for the outstanding nursing staff, physical therapy staff and occupational therapy staff for their professionalism and friendly demeanor during my stay. The kitchen served fantastic 5 star restaurant food I enjoyed. The free parking garage always had room for vehicles and overall, I would recommend this V.A. hospital to any veteran that requires care.
