About The Center – A Place of HOPE

The center takes private pay of which the cost varies depending on the level of care and amenities you choose. The facility also accepts insurance from most providers. They don’t accept state funded insurance programs or HMOs. They do offer financing options through CareCredit.

There’s an emphasis on privacy and security for people who have a high profile in their community, making this leading inpatient rehab for professionals an ideal choice if you’re a celebrity, performer, church leader, athlete or other high profile person looking to ensure your anonymity.

When you commit to the program, you’ll have a minimum stay of five days. Most people stay two weeks or longer. You’ll start with an initial exam that includes physical and psychological assessments. They’ll give you a custom treatment plan based on your situation.

The plan addresses any issues you’re having such as alcohol or substance use, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, eating disorders, compulsive behaviors and other stressors such as burnout. Along with psychological and dependency issues, you’ll get a health and physical exam to include a fitness assessment.

Clients stay in private suites with numerous amenities. The programs offer healing opportunities from the trauma of sexual and emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual assault and date rape. From eating disorders to anxiety, you’ll work to get to the root of your unhealthy coping skills to build a better foundation for balanced mental health and physical fitness.

There’s also a track for men with eating disorders. Most eating disorder programs focus on women only, but men also suffer from eating disorders. The programs are for adults of both genders 17 and older.

There are also spiritual renewal programs for those experiencing stress or burnout in their ministry. You’ll have a chance to renew your relationship with God while dealing with chemical dependency or mental health issues. You’ll learn about processing trauma and how to love yourself so you can be there for others.

One former client cited the one on one programs as valuable and influential in his healing. Other clients felt their stay was one of the best experiences they’ve ever had.

My 4 weeks here at the center honestly saved me. My first day I was so anxious about the new environment I had to have EMS called for me because I had a panic attack, and my second day I was throwing up the whole day. All that to say I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the first week if it wasn’t for the loving and wonderful and caring staff and clients. Everyone comes here with pain and it leads to a bright, warm, positive environment where people are able to bond and be their authentic selves completely. It’s been wonderful to have such tailored care for my needs, and now I have the ability to cope with the difficult times and move past them healthily. I truly could never thank them enough!

I went in feeling completely hopeless and that I needed to just accept the fact that I would be surviving the rest of my life. Fast forward 6 weeks and I feel a lot of hope and excitement for the future where I will be able to thrive not just survive. The staff are super supportive and caring I would definitely recommend going if you are struggling with mental health.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy meant to be short-term and comprehensive. It was intended to help clients become more self-sufficent and move forward without the need for expensive, ongoing therapy. It includes an emotional self-help method called “rational self-counseling,” the purpose of which is to give clients all the skills needed to handle future emotional issues by themselves, or with significantly less professional help.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The center was the perfect place for me to start my journey, and what I experienced there was beyond what I expected. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood. The environment helped me begin healing emotionally and mentally in ways I did not expect. Step by step, they guided me through the process with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Everything was great the teachers and the entire team were incredibly supportive and caring. They helped me discover who I really am and gave me the confidence to continue my healing journey. I also appreciated how well everything was organized to make the experience comfortable and suitable for everyone’s different needs. It’s truly a wonderful place to begin healing and personal growth. They genuinely care about people and take the time to address individual needs with professionalism and compassion. I highly encourage anyone who is looking for support or guidance to reach out to them and learn more about their services. The team is very professional, understanding, and dedicated to helping people heal and grow.

It’s hard to overstate just how much of a positive impact this place had on my partner who attended this place. I’ve known a lot of people in my life, acquaintances, close friends and family members, who have gone though everything from therapy to rehabilitation and recovery, and while those sometimes helped them, none of them showed a transformation that came anywhere near what I saw in my partner afterwards. I’m very grateful for what this place and its staff were able to help her achieve. That being said, the resulting positive changes didn’t last and eventually reverted back to the same destructive behaviors to our relationship that were some of the primary reasons why she checked herself into there in the first place. They were aware of that, fully. And if there was anything I could have done to help prevent that, being her main source of emotional support, their hard stance against any communication means I’ll never know what those could have been. She was there for issues dealt from her family and a highly abusive relationship years prior, and I received absolutely no communication on what to do, what not to do in case I’m not aware of what that might be, not even a pamphlet or recommended books. No person to call with questions. No resources as a partner with the incredibly difficult role of being emotional support to a person who has been highly volatile in situations where even she eventually would realize she shouldn’t have been. Nothing. And when I’ve asked, I was told they can’t give out any personal information. Which wasn’t what I was asking for. It doesn’t matter if you’re a kid speaking with a school counselor or an addict exiting a rehab program—if you don’t have a reliable support network that knows what to do and when, it’s highly likely that person will lose confidence, trust from others and possibly relapse. And for the $40k a month this place charges (thankfully her insurance covered it), they should be able to provide some answers and materials to those of us who waited patiently for our partner’s return. This was extremely hard for us as well and The Center’s irresponsible and cavalier responses to even general questions I’ve had just make me believe they were only in it for the money and not for something sustainable. It’s incredibly irresponsible and insulting for a place that can clearly help people with trust in others and themselves.

Response from the owner
Jordan, thank you for your review, and for the positive words you expressed about the treatment program at The Center. The Whole Person Care approach is lauded as the most effective and lasting form of treatment available, and we are proud to have created it here at The Center.

We would like to address a couple of your comments to provide perspective and clarity.

As a licensed treatment facility, the law precludes us from providing any information about a client, their treatment regimen, their location, or any other specifics regarding their stay. As you may imagine, the treatment industry has numerous instances where an individual claiming to be a friend or family member locates a client and causes them emotional or physical harm while the client is in care.

For caring individuals like yourself, our adherence to the law may unfortunately feel restrictive; but it is wholly to protect the individual in treatment.

We offer treatment programs that include partners and spouses for a portion, or the entirety, of treatment. This may be a good solution for you and your partner if you desire additional care.

Regarding our program's cost, we would like to clarify that it is not $40,000 a month. It is much less than that, and as you noted, insurance often covers most of the cost.

Finally, we encourage your partner to join our active alumni program. The community is an excellent source of support and resources.

We wish you and your partner hope for continued recovery and a joyful future.
