About New Season Treatment Center – St. Petersburg

At this addiction treatment center, individuals can expect to receive innovative treatment that is based on the latest addiction research, science, and proven models. The model offered at this location is medication-assisted treatment (MAT):

Outpatient treatment and medication management are combined into one treatment pathway with medication-assisted treatment. At this rehab center, patients can enroll in the medically supervised MAT and receive one of three medications – namely, buprenorphine, suboxone, or methadone.

These monitored medications help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. In conjunction with medications, individuals can expect individual or group counseling, medical exams, and other convenient outpatient services. Those who attend this substance abuse center’s MAT will learn how to handle triggers and setbacks and how to cope with stress to ensure long-term recovery.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) involve frequent and robust therapeutic sessions for clients requiring high-level care. Clients may engage in a combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction counseling, recovery skills training, and holistic therapies for a minimum of nine and a maximum of 20 hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient care, and those at an elevated relapse risk.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The PD, Jessica treats patients like they are the # their case is assigned as. She obviously doesn't like people who are considered substance abusers and thinks her power/authority of her position grants her the right to treat her patients as subjects who are below her. Last time, I was eligible for take homes according to the nurse who doses me and I went In to get said take homes. She told me I wasnt eligible. I told her to look again because it's been 3 months and I've never had a dirty screen. She had nothing nice to say after that. Then she said you haven't met with a counselor yet so you can't get take homes or phase up. I've been a patient for over 3m without seeing a counselor or being assigned one because their case loads are over booked. I asked her how that was my fault and why I couldn't get take homes. She accused me of having an attitude that she has had since I met her last week. My first encounter with her besides today. I told her she was being passive aggressive and I was matching the same behavior she presented me with since the moment she met me and told me my name wasnt important. Only my ID # was when she interrupted me introducing myself asking for my ID number. We have names. You may give us a #, but I dont identify with that #. I identify with my name. Let me introduce myself like a responsible adult should do, then ask me for my #. You will be treated as sub human by Jessica no matter what your attitude is or how you respond. I didnt raise my voice at her once. Yet, she was yelling at me the whole time I was in her office. She told me I could leave after all this and not getting help for a second time or getting a counselor. I told her I didn't deserve to not get fair treatment or a counselor for over 3 months. She continued to say I had the same attitude that she presented to me with and if I didnt leave her office she would call the cops on me to force me to leave her office. Of course, I left. Anyone who needs to rely on LEOs and waste their time, money, effort and public resources to handle a professional matter, which she should be professional about consider her job is with the public, shouldnt have such a job or be in a position of power over others they consider less than themselves. I discussed this with other patients in the lobby while waiting to see her and was told by everyone there that this is normal behavior for her. Just because I wouldn't put up with her behavior or condone it, she feels threatened. Probably the first time that somebody stood up to her. I understand that as a 5' 5", 110 pound man, I may be considered oh so threatening. So, I left her office at her command of her calling the LEOs. The doctor who was working when I tried to do my intake 3m ago treated me the same way and I wouldn't put up with it from him either at that time before they let him go for n/a reasons to me and hired a new doctor this past month. With him, I told him I had chronic hereditary pancreatitis. He assumed it was injecting illegal substances. That I put myself in the situation to get this painful disease. I ask him nicely to not assume that I was dx'd with CP because of my history. He told me that 99% of patients dx'd that he sees at that office with CP is because of their own choices. I told him, that I was the 1% then. He took me asking politely not to assume as a threat to him and his credentials as well, yelling at me to leave the office. Yelling that I was ready for treatment even though I spent the time, $, energy to work past my own guilt and ask for help from people I don't know who are supposed to be professional/more than qualified to assist me. Again, if you don't have the patience to work with the public or people you consider less than yourself because of mental health problems, you probably shouldn't be working this job. These are your patients, not your subjects. I made a mistake in behaving like her, for that I'm sorry, I stood up for myself. I will prob be kicked out. All other staff are professional. My s/o is 9m preg. I dont need more stress. Get treatment elsewhere
