About Set Free NW

Set Free NW is a faith-based recovery program in Chehalis, Washington, that helps men and women struggling with substance use disorder. Out of 13 reviews, the facility gets an overall rating of 4.2 stars. Feedback includes that the staff are patient and understanding.

Complete Separation to Begin Healing

All clients will begin their addiction treatment with a blackout period. This initial phase lasts 30 days and focuses on separating yourself from your former lifestyle. You’ll achieve this through Bible studies, receiving emotional and spiritual mentoring, and doing work within the facility.

Following a Consistent Routine

Set Free NW believes an important part of the healing process is following a consistent routine. You’ll have a daily schedule to follow in the next 90 days of your treatment.

This will help you develop healthy boundaries which allow you to prioritize your recovery needs and avoid situations that could cause you to relapse. During this time period, the staff will focus on teaching you how to live your life using self discipline, personal accountability and spiritual study.

Preparation for Life After Treatment

In the discipleship training phase of treatment, you’ll start applying the knowledge you’ve learned to your lifestyle. When the staff feels that you’ve shown success with applying the information learned, they’ll begin assisting you with finding vocational training opportunities and employment.

Long-Term Recovery in Chehalis

You can stay at the facility for up to two years as you learn about saving for the future and debt reduction. As you start a sober lifestyle outside of the facility, a fun place you can visit is Chehalis Centralia Railroad & Museum. They offer seasonal train rides that give you a scenic view of the Chehalis River Valley.

I wanted to love it, I really did. & the program itself COULD POSSIBLY work, so my problem wasn t the program. I m a believer & I love The Lord, so my whole meaning in going here was to be alone with God and find some peace, and separate from the world. That is 99% not the case. You cannot be alone no matter what or where you go there will always be a girl around you, there s just too many girls in the program. Not saying that s a bad thing, but not for me because 9 times outta 10 over half the girls at once are fighting, being shady toward each other, praying passive aggressively in the prayer circle, talking and gossiping around every corner, just absolutely ridiculous and a miserable environment. I could never just soak in the presence of God and have a decent day because girls were just miserable AND ALWAYS running their mouths. I get it people go through things, but if you are 100% seeking peace, healing, and a positive uplifting environment I 100% do not recommend this place. This is a recovery center as well so it s more ideal for people who are coming in with drawing or not sober because they maybe they can t see through all the crap like I did ??? But I came in sober, and sober minded, seeking the Lord, seeing peace & seeking growth. I didn t come in fighting demons, miserable, or angry, so it was unbearable to be an environment where people were. So again, if your not ready to be a in a recovery environment, which is not very positive I don t recommend. Another thing, when I decided I wanted to leave the program they refused to let me call my mother to pick me up, refused to let me charge my phone to make a calll, did not pray or bless me out, or bless my travels, they dropped me off in the middle of no where with no phone charger, phone dead, 2 1/2 hours from home. I had to find a nearby store buy a charger, and then find a place to charge it. I cried my mom hysterical crying. I don t see how any place could claim to be Christian or God fearing, yet treat their residents like garbage. I was an excellent resident or what ever you wanted to call it. I kept to myself, I was always trying to uplift the environment, I always picked up slack where needed, and I just always did my homework and did everything ask of me without complaining. So when my 30 days came, and I was off blackout, and got denied to call my sister and was told we re saying no just because we can, people feel entitled around here. I decided that was it and I m leaving. Talking to family should 100% not be some far off privilege. Were there to grow & change & we need our families. They make it impossible. Visits once a week only on sat/sun, and if you work you can t get visits at all, and you can also only call sat/sun so they are pretty much ok with you just never seeing/calling your family. Or could really care less. Rules change daily. ALOT of favoritism. Simply the blind leading the blind, if you have ANY spiritual eyes to see and you are woke and aware to your surroundings, avoid this place. Although I had plenty of good days cooking, doing out reaches, church all that, the crap I endured daily in the house where woman were supposed to be on a walk with God, loving each other and growing, it was non existent and extremely toxic and a mocking environment. Did not feel like Jesus was truly the center here. Also upon arriving and making the very hard decision to give up my life to come here , I was extremely unwelcomed, felt uneasy & not even a drop of love. People called me to reach out to me and said people who answered were extremely unwelcoming, and rude; and also never relayed that anyone had called me. Seems like a very manipulative environment with no strong foundation on how things run and should be run. Seems they make things up as they go. Also, when rules were implemented, they were extremely sassy and sarcastic about things. All in all just a mocking environment that breaks you down more then builds you up. I can tell lots of power trippin going on.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients enrolled in an outpatient rehab program typically engage in multiple therapeutic sessions each week, but reside in their own homes and communities while receiving care. Outpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction counseling, including family and group therapy. Most programs also emphasize recovery-focused life skills training and medical, mental health, and social support services to promote clients' sustained sobriety. Evening, night, weekend, and virtual services are widely available to accommodate the schedules of working professionals, students, and caregivers.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab enables clients who are exiting detox or who are at an increased risk of relapse to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Inpatient rehabs provide intensive clinical supervision and high-level treatment. Clients remain at the facility through the length of their program and typically receive multiple addiction counseling and education sessions per day. Holistic therapies, such as yoga, message, and meditation, may be used to relieve stress and ease discomfort.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients as they focus on maintaining their sobriety after intensive (often inpatient) treatment. These programs adhere to a model of life-long recovery, addressing addiction disease as a chronic, relapsing condition. Rehab aftercare services vary widely based on the specific and evolving needs of the client, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, and 12 step program induction. Clients, case managers, and care teams typically collaborate on long-term care plans.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Washington includes a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide the care you need. Medical staff can provide medications and other physical treatment to help you safely navigate withdrawal. Counselors offer mental and emotional support. Other specialists who offer additional resources may include nutritionists, family therapists, and case managers.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

When your body is properly nourished, healing is much faster. That's why nutrition therapy is an important part of drug rehab in Washington. It helps you learn how to take care of your body so you can heal both mentally and physically from addiction.

This place is a cult. They completely cut you off from your family and want you to stay two years. My wife tried going here and they tried to convince her she wasn’t married any more. When she demanded to leave because she didn’t like the way they were treating her and wouldn’t let her contact me. They gave her, her dead cell phone, with all are pictures deleted out of it and my contract info changed, and her ID and dropped her off in Walmart parking lot 30 miles from home without letting her contact anyone. They kept her debit card and clothes of course and told her is she could go to the homeless shelter. She went there but was scared to stay, was able to get money from her bank with just her ID for a hotel but guys from the homeless shelter followed her there “to make sure she was safe” were they took her money got high and forced themselves on her until morning when her phone was charged to call me. Set free does not care. If you don’t want to play by there rules they will let you die in the streets.

Curriculum is good, their Bible teaching is spot on Food is good The downside is they are controlling and play favoritismm. They pick and choose who they want there, look closely and read between the lines. The senior pastor is a nice guy but the leadership and other staff who can make life hell for you. If you strive for a life of being a normal adult and come in as a go getter they will get in your way, every way possible. They can be downright mean and sent my ID back to sender and blocked my communication from my massive network of friends because they thought my contacts were bad people. They get a hard on if you are dependent upon them while they as they play God. They act as if you started living when you met them. They switched up on me in one of my darkest hours causing me to have severe depression on top of everything else that happened whic.h I care not to disclose. They are control freaks and should mond their own business especially if someone is trying to set things up for themselves in the future, not wait until they say so. I was also subtly treated as if I was stupid. Would not recommend at all!
