I have a friend who is currently in care at this place. All of her personal effects have been stolen from her, she went the past five days without her pain medication. Call light was on for over an hour with ZERO response. This is NOT care. You need to do better!

I came after a below knee amputation and still had an infection In my spine I am for an antibiotic completion of 6-8 weeks and ended up in hospital then back here again now first thing when I get back knowing I would be over two days no antibiotics and no pain medication started antibiotic two days later and almost a week has gone by no pain medication still. Then one of the nurses comes in and puts antibiotics into my pick line connected directly to my heart without cleaning or flushing line with his bare hands mind you I am barley staying out of being septic and my comfort after letting as many people would give me a chance to is he was from a temp service so we won t let him come back here I am like oh ok he could have killed me but I guess that s ok. And the majority of the staff says push red button if you need anything but I timed it on several occasions and pushed red button and not a soul came in for at least two hours they avoid coming near you when then doctors or whatever they are tell you I will be right back and I will take care of that problem and leaves without saying a word to anybody in summary I don t feel I am gonna make it out of here alive due to all the neglect and disregard

I wish I had never picked this place for my mother's rehabilitation. Months after her leaving from Pueblo Springs (Dec. 2023), mom still recounts to me terrible things she remembers from being a patient. During her stay, I reported what she told me to the management. Pueblo Springs supervisory staff interviewed my mom in her room during her stay. Here are a few things that my mom told me she had to deal with while staying at this facility. Also I include a few of my own observations and experiences. She came home, after her discharge from Pueblo Springs, with a small bed sore. I don't see how this could go unnoticed when they changed her sanitary care daily. She doesn't get bed sores here at home ever. I had to bring bed sheets from home to cover her because they didn't have enough available. We left some here so hopefully other residents could use them if needed. She complained to me that a female employee would go in her room at night and turn off her oxygen machine. I spoke to manager about it and said they would look into it. An employee walked off and stole a night shirt from her laundry, in front of her, and when she told them to give it back they ignored her and walked out with it. I was not present when this occurred. I had to bring hot food from home because my mother claimed it was cold, dry, and not edible. I saw some of it and it looked very unappetizing. Staff member complained that they were understaffed and overworked and gave the impression that there was drama between employees and and a theft issue. An employee cried in front of my mom and I in the parking lot when mom was leaving. That was a really heartbreaking experience. There were NO bed baths or bathing given to my mom. I had to arrive and see to it she was given a bed bath by myself so that she could be more comfortable and have the dignity to be clean.I don't think this online review does any justice to the amount of concern this should raise. At the time, some staff members seems genuinely kind good people but others were not so such. There was no way for us to forsee how bad things were at Pueblo Springs as mom had never stayed here before. I hope this place makes a change for the better but unfortunately they have left an everlasting negative impression in both my mother's, and my own, memory.

Accepted Insurance

Valley Health Care and Rehabilitation Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I had a family member here over the past weeks due to some really bad skin issues on her legs. There was some minor issues when she arrived with her meds, food, etc but after a few discussions my questions were answered. Not only did they do a great job in taking care of her but while she was even there for the Super Bowl they had ordered pizza for all the residents and staff! I would recommend this rehab to others if needed.

not very nice to me neglectful and didn't even put my feeding tube back on after been clogged also some nurses accuse Me able to walk good when I struggled also they accuse Me being mean to them but in reality they are mean to Me they mocked me made fun of me behind my back talk bad about me called the cops on me because I was sitting outside the window because they didn't want any of us go outside also they are not very professional in there Job there emotions get the best of them they act immature for there age and they telling Me that I'm to young to struggle but in reality I been struggling since I was born I am born disabled and have mild intellectual disability and ptsd from abuse and they been hurting Me mentally and not giving me my medication correctly I has enough of this. I am tired of being abused and being traumatized by people in general I have thoughts about hurting myself here at the facility. because the way I get treated by people here they said I'm to young to be this way buy that is the way I was born and also been physically abused that's why my body is this way I am disabled I can not walk very well and in there brain they think that I can. I also recorded a nurse name April at the Facility because she was mocking Me that's being unprofessional I has enough of being treated like I am dead ghost with no emotions they neglect Me and hurt me mentally. I thought everyone here was nice and loving respectful compassion here supportive but they aren't I'm slowly giving up on everything because this isn't the first time I been hurt mentally but some nurses and some staff and other people who work here like Matthew he is very kind and helpful I trust him very much he is a very good understanding professional man thank you and the find here is good and showers are good here to everything else is good here except certain staff and nurses the cnas are good to but some can be alittle rough with us but it's ok I am tired of getting treated like I am nothing I don't deserve this I wish I was transferred to haven Tucson nursing facility because I was treated there with love and support all good things there but here not so much they been putting stress on me alot here I am mentally physically disabled as kud they called my diagnosis is mild mental retardation and and they hurt me some nurses here but other than that I am happy with everything else here and I also have a good friend name Marcos while my stay in sometime in mid January my friend Marcos asked the staff to wash his clothes and blankets for him and so they did but have not given him clothes or blankets back over a month I was discharged Friday January 31st and now it's valentines day and he still has not received his personal clothes or blankets unbelievable. They need to give back to him or people in general are not going to trust the facility again with there personal items that belongs to the patients there they need stop all that or there look bad or lose the facility. The nurse took my wheelchair away from me in one the photos I posted 😔 But I love the goat 🐐❤️

My name is Marcos I have been at the facility for about 3 months now everything was good until one day I asked staff to wash my clothes and blankets about 3 weeks ago I still have not received them I’ve asked and asked and have not gotten word of my belongings so that brings me to my rating of a 2 ⭐️⭐️ star rating

My experience was very good as far as the medical needs and attentiveness of the nurses was top-notch. The whole staff was very good and friendly always there to attend my needs and there’s a few nurses I like to mention that were fantastic Mandy, April, Nancy, Bree and I’d also like to mention the physical therapy people Abdul and his coworkers did a great job.

The staff is compassionate, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure residents feel comfortable and supported. The environment is clean and welcoming, which speaks volumes about the quality of care provided. It’s reassuring to know that residents here are in good hands!

First, let me say we have had a journey finding this place, and the other places were terrible. PUEBLO SPRINGS is amazing! They have caring staff who listen to my concerns about my dad. They take great care of him. They also communicate well with me and are easy to get ahold of. The nurses are kind and knowledgeable and therapy staff is excellent as well. My dad is always clean when I see him, day or night. He is not left in his adult diaper. No bed sores. I am so thankful we found this place.

I have a family member that came into Pueblo Springs with some hesitation. Although, after the 12 days she was there I would recommend this facility to anyone. The nursing staff there cared so much for the residents. Food was good, but most importantly therapy was able to get her moving again. She's done so well in recovery that she is home now and thriving. Thank you to everyone at Pueblo!
