My uncle was in their care for over a year, until he passed recently. We(his family), are all based out of state. One of the hardest parts was that we couldn't visit him and the thought of him there alone was very hard to deal with. But he wasn't alone. I hadn't put into perspective the staff who worked with him and took care of him day in and day out. We just received a memorial gift from Centrepoint that came in a beautifully done wooden box. But it was the first page inside with 40 signatures and messages from each the staff who were there with, and for my uncle, until the moment he passed. Seeing that, the thoughtfulness of the gift and all the ways they accommodated us to stay in contact and keep us updated on his situation, we have the utmost gratitude and appreciation for the time, respect and support you showed our family during this entire process.

Honestly, one of the WORSE rehabs I had to send my husband to. And for the client who wrote they stole jewelry right off his father’s bed side table… Boy, do I believe it. My husband’s favorite blanket was stolen. It first went into laundry, (even though it clearly stated on the closet door that the family was responsible for the patient’s laundry)…. When it came back, they had marked it with his room number. A few days later, it was gone. I checked with laundry and lost and found for months. Nothing! The nurses were horrible and abusive. My husband made multiple complaints. I even snuck into one of his therapy sessions and they just had him sitting in a corner for 20 minutes until they realized I was there and finally “pretended” to do something. The doctor responsible for his primary care was unresponsive to my calls. I found out that they were overdosing his meds. With all my complaints, Administration didn’t do squat! I should have documented every detail because I’d have a lawsuit on them for sure! If you need to consider a rehab center, consider Encompass. Can’t say the facility was great, but the care givers and therapists were phenomenal.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This is an awful place. My father had swelling and an infection that we complained about but they ignored-which 2 days later led to his passing. They also stole his jewelry right off his swollen fingers.
