My child had a wonderful experience at Blume. They felt that the staff genuinely cared about them, and it was clear that their work was more than just a job to them. The team at Blume went above and beyond to meet our needs, offering support in ways that extended far beyond our expectations. When our child returned home, they not only felt safe, well, and supported, but also more confident and grounded. They gained trust in the staff and, perhaps more importantly, in themself. They consistently felt heard, respected, and valued — which made all the difference in their journey. The environment at Blume is compassionate, structured, and nurturing. The team strikes a rare balance between professionalism and warmth, and it is evident that every decision is made with the wellbeing of the residents in mind. Bringing your child to a residential treatment center is never an easy decision. There are so many scary stories and negative reviews that you can read online. After researching extensively, Blume was the only place we could go for confidently. It was also highly recommended by other professionals we talked to. My daughter just completed a 7 week treatment at Blume and we couldn’t be happier with the level of care she received there. The staff is simply amazing! Shout out to Ramsey, the Program Director, who guided us throughout the whole process and who was always very responsive, informative and caring. Taylor who took our intake and guided us for after care. Caitlin, the Clinical Director who is very skilled at decoding complex family dynamics. Also Melissa, our daughter’s mentor was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone we encountered there during our family visit was kind and supportive and our daughter said she liked everyone there, which says a lot! With such a caring environment, our daughter opened up in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Blume, you are the Best! Another well deserved 5 star!!

Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.

Treatments

In California, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs offer comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Programs include medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. Using an evidence-based approach, clinicians utilize therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness to address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. This us not your average California RTC. The staff expects that as teenagers, the kids are going to push boundaries and mess up. There are protocols in place and issues are dealt with kindly and with empathy. Our past experiences with CA facilities were not this way, which resulted in us having to send our child out of state. We still have a long road ahead if us, but Blume was a God-send at a time when we needed it desperately.

Amazing!!! Simple words describing of what it’s like to have to go through a difficult experience with your kid, feeling helpless and desperate to find them the help they need. My husband found Blume online and from the first intake call with Basel, his compassion and expertise during a crisis guided me to know in my heart that Blume was exactly what my teen needed. The peace you feel, knowing your teen is in great hands, with caring, compassionate, professional therapists and behavioral techs is undeniable. Confirmed by calls from your teen smiling at the other end while sharing about the groups, activities and amazing support from in-house mentors and techs. Blume staff is the light at the end of a dark tunnel for teens. I am eternally grateful to everyone at Blume who have inspired my daughter to pursue behavioral therapist career.

Blume went above & beyond our expectations as our family navigated through an extremely difficult time with our teen, who was struggling with various issues including ASD, ADHD, depression & addiction. They quickly put us at ease with their kindness, compassion & understanding. Their program is different from most. They have a holistic & positive approach as well as a professional & determined team. Each kid is assigned a mentor, someone that may have been through similar struggles and now uses their experiences as a learning tool. Their programming & communication is EXCELLENT. They worked with us financially, as we were out of network. But the care & results we have seen are WORTH every penny. Our teen came back happier & healthy. She’s has new interests, self confidence, & awareness. She has developed coping techniques & empathy, and an overall better attitude. She has better eating habits and a self care routine. They offer a variety of different strategies & programs. Kids earn tokens, take field trips, & go shopping on occasion with earned allowances. They had boxing lessons, worked with pottery, and other art projects. They got to go for Boba Tea & visit the library. She was able to discover simple pleasures & how to appreciate them. There was much self awareness work done with group, individual, and family sessions. Any new medications were explained to both us & her, what they were & what they will address. Our kid was a challenge! She was resistant, quite stubborn, and very set in her ways. They kept at it, never giving up and trying different approaches. One of the directors even took her out for some one on one time, and slowly her walls came down. She started to participate & engage, and the healing process began. I’m sure there may be challenges in the future, but we are optimistic with where we are. There is an aftercare plan in place, an agreement of actions & consequences that we worked on together during our final family sessions. From our initial call with Basil, who offered us hope at a time when we were feeling hopeless, their team was outstanding. Thank YOU- Taylor, Caitlyn, Ramsey, Taylor (2),Christine, Brian, Natalie, Kya, Angel, Hailey, Carson & anyone else that helped our struggling teen-you all ROCK❤️

I had heard a lot of bad things about adolescent residential treatment. After searching around, we found Blume, and they are basically the opposite of all the scary stories I have heard. Their staff and admin are caring, accessible, and really helped our child. I could not be more happy with what they were able to do. I will always be grateful. I recommend them without reservation!

Outstanding service! I cannot say enough great things about Blume Behavioral Heath Facility and the incredible impact they have had on my daughter’s mental wellness and overall well-being. They made us felt understood, welcomed and supported all throughout the process. You can really tell that staff is compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated to each individual's successful journey. It took sometime for my daughter to get acclimated to the new surroundings and felt a bit resentful at the beginning. The staff took the time to understand my her unique needs and developed a personalized plan that has helped her make tremendous progress. The therapist she was working with showed genuine care and they made sure she is being heard. They also included me in Family Therapy. They are not only knowledgeable but also cared about their patients, making a challenging journey much easier for our family. The facility itself is very well maintained, clean, well-organized, and designed to create a calming and positive environment. They offer a structured, therapeutic environment where adolescents receive intensive support to address their challenges and develop sustainable strategies for mental wellness. The whole team at Blume has been constantly communicating with me on my daughter's progress. They also provided regular updates and guidance that keep us informed and involved in my daughter’s progress. They offer individual therapy, family therapy, mentorship program, intensive group therapy and Psychiatric services. Since my daughter is in 12th grade and graduating high-school, I made sure that they have academic continuty so that when she goes back to school she wont be behind her peers, which was glady taken care of by Blume. My sincere appreciation to Blume and all their staff for my daughter's successful stay at their facility. She has gained confidence, improved her coping skills, and is thriving in ways we never imagined. After hearing horror stories from the troubled teen industry I was anxious to go, but the staff immediately put my worries to ease, making me feel like a capable part of a community and empowering me to make my own calls on my treatment and really helping me in the long-run. We learned day-to-day skills like cooking/baking, cleaning and self regulation but we were also taught the tools we needed in order to heal through group therapy, mentor sessions and one-on-one counseling. Healing isn't easy, but Blume staff sure helped me feel like it wasn't all bad. It doesn't feel like a hospital but instead a supportive, productive, and safe home to do the work to better yourself.

An absolutely amazing staff and facility! From the very first call from Daniel to the check out process, staff was kind and empathetic towards my child’s needs. The program encourages self motivation and growth. The staff plans activities and outings that engage their patients interests and rewards their progress. I just can’t say enough about the staff. We live out of state and I was worried that my child wouldn’t get the love and attention she needs to be able to make progress. The staff made sure that my child had all of her needs met at every step of the way. I just can’t say enough about Blume. That are amazing!!!
