Redondo Beach, CA | Located in Redondo Beach, California, Clear Recovery Center Redondo Beach Outpatient program is an outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program that provides addiction treatment services to adults aged 18 and older. They also provide treatment for individuals living with co-occurring disorders. The outpatient program is often utilized after a person | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’m only allowed to give 5 stars as the highest rating, but if I could give more, it would be infinite.
At end of February I felt as if my life was over; I would never feel happy again…the negative self-talk in my head would always echo in my brain…and the depression I had since I was 11 was going to be there, like a heavy coat, until I died. 50 years of trauma had become my identity and unfortunately presented itself as a near nervous breakdown at my job.
My psychiatrist recommended that I enter a PHP/IOP program and gave me a list of facilities. In the past I avoided group settings because of guilt and shame. I always looked at this type of treatment as some sort of failure, but since I was at a mental crossroads I decided to go to one and do the work.
I had a zoom meeting with Tim, and within the brief minutes we spoke I felt that Clear would be the best fit for me. On the first day I was warmly greeted by Caroline, the program manager and went through a painless intake session. When I had my first group a few hours later my feelings of apprehension began to subside as I was welcomed in by people who were going to become family.
It was easier to speak in open process than I imagined, and that was because the people there were open and trusting about their experiences. At no time did I feel judged or not heard. Still, the first two days were very hard and at times I wanted to leave, but I promised myself that I’d do the work.
Then I had a miracle. On the third day, after a very intense and devastating open process with Gavin, I was at the lowest I had been in years and believed that things would never change. After break I had my first one-on-one, also with Gavin, and I went into the session determined to finally talk about the things I never even admitted to myself, the things that fueled the depression and negative self-talk. When I finished, Gavin guided me to look at my trauma in a totally different light. I was able to find grace and forgiveness, not only for others involved, but for myself. I left that meeting feeling light as a feather and for the next 24 hours tried to convince myself that it was a trick. It wasn’t. When I left Clear 87 days later, the thing that had been most haunting me was dead. I’ve haven’t experienced the self-talk or depression. I was able to finally work on the other issues I had without it being dumped into the overarching self-hatred I had for 50 years.
The therapists and counselors at Clear are all at the top of their game. I’ve had sessions with all of them and couldn’t find one of them who I didn’t think was a great fit for all of the people who came for help.
PHP gave me definitions for problems I had, but couldn’t name. Each class covered different mental health topics which were easily explained to an untrained person such as myself. In IOP Things that I swore I’d never give a chance to: Sound-bath, Yoga and Breath-work, were very helpful in reaching parts of me that I didn’t realize would be receptive to that kind of treatment.
Finally, and most important to me, was the ability to find my “people.” Very quickly bonds are made because we are all fighting the same battles. The faces that were so scary at day one are now my new family and we check in on each other daily. I was actually sad on my last day because I wouldn’t see them as often, but we all knew we’d have to go out into the “real world” eventually.
I am confident that my breakthrough is permanent and that I have acquired the skills needed to face whatever is ahead in my mental health journey. I would definitely recommend Clear for anyone seeking quality care in a great, healthy environment.

Redondo Beach, CA | Blume Behavioral Health runs a mental health clinic in Southern California. Their Perkins House for Girls is located in Redondo Beach. It provides gender-specific residential treatment for young women and teenagers. Their goal is to help teens thrive in recovery. Teenage Treatment in a Luxury Environment Families have praised the facility for their | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The Blume staff was very supportive and understood what my daughter needed for her care. My daughter struggled with two other places that lacked supervision but Blume assured me they could accommodate her needs in their smaller environment and they did just that her entire stay. I was apprehensive to send her so far from home but they also allowed us FaceTime calls since we could not visit in person. My child and I spent weeks of research to try to find the right fit for her. If you are reading this then you are probably in a situation that is extremely stressful, you have hit an impasse and residential is a last resort. But Blume is a place of HEALING and positivity. We know that there are residentials out there that see children as a paycheck or are extremely corporate. Kids are churned through like quotas for billing. Blume is Not that. Blume sounded too good to be true but it was amazing. My daughter felt like family there and although that may sound corny its the truth. Blume staff were warm, caring, seasoned, professional and experienced in a range of MH issues. They also have a great trauma program for patients and an engaged psychiatric team. My child was a 5 hour flight from us and had never been away from home before. She felt comfortable from the start at Blume and her 2 month stay not only healed her but she enjoyed it! She experienced new interesting and therapeutic skills she had never experienced before and created memories with staff and fellow. patients. The staff and providers really do a great job checking in with families and clinical progress. Even miles away we were connected to our child's improvement and we felt at ease knowing she was in good hands. Transition planning and after care placement went well despite the distance between our home and Blume. It has been a few months since my daughter came home from Blume and I can say the lessons and healing that she experienced there have stuck. The lessons we learned from Blume as caregivers have also been useful! Our family dynamic has completely changed for the better. This is the best we have all felt in years. She is a happy person again and we are so relieved for her. We can't thank Blume enough for the impact they have had on our daughter as well as our entire family.

Los Angeles, CA | Starbridge Recovery Center, located in Los Angeles, California, is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment services to men and women seeking recovery. They offer a luxury environment equipped to help individuals through medical monitoring, emotional healing, and guided support during the initial stages of treatment. Indi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | There are moments in life when you feel completely lost, and for me, walking into Starbridge Recovery was one of those moments. I arrived broken, scared, and unsure if I could ever find my way back. What I found there was more than treatment—I found hope.
I spent 30 days in detox at Starbridge, and from the very first day, I was treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. The staff didn't just see another patient; they saw a person who was struggling and needed support. Every nurse, counselor, technician, and team member played a role in helping me believe in myself again when I couldn't do it on my own.
Recovery isn't easy, but Starbridge gave me the tools, guidance, and encouragement I needed to take that first step toward a new life. They created an environment where I felt safe, understood, and supported every single day.
As I write this, I am proud to say that I am four months clean. That's something I honestly wasn't sure would be possible before I came here. Starbridge didn't just help me get sober—they helped me rediscover who I am and what my life can be.
If you're reading this and wondering whether recovery is worth it, or whether there's hope for you, please know that there is. Asking for help was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but walking through the doors of Starbridge Recovery was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
To everyone at Starbridge: thank you for helping save my life. I will never forget what you did for me.

I cannot express enough gratitude for this incredible detox facility. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’re stepping into a safe, warm home rather than a treatment center. The owner—an exceptionally smart, dedicated, and long-time successful doctor—has helped change and save countless lives, including mine. She is not only a phenomenal clinical psychologist but also a true sponsor at heart. She consistently puts others before herself, and somehow always knows exactly what to say and how to help when you need it most.
Her compassion is unmatched. If you genuinely want sobriety, she will do everything she can to support you. Her doors are always open, and she creates an environment that feels like family—supportive, comforting, and full of hope.
I never imagined I would reach one year sober, but here I am. My life has completely transformed for the better, and I owe so much of that to her, this home, and my Higher Power. This place is more than a detox—it’s the beginning of a new life. If you’re ready for change, this is the place to go.

I have been to a multitude of treatment centers in and outside of California, Avedis Recovery is by FAR the most caring, authentic, and helpful place I have ever been to. It is the ONLY place that I was able to stay sober during my entire time and where I was able to find the confidence in myself to stay sober and where I found real growth. They care. Every other treatment center it was very clear that the management and program directors were really only involved for the money. The program director at Avedis is not, he and all other staff GENUINELY CARE!! Usually at other places you never see the director but here you see him almost everyday, he is involved and genuinely cares about people here and their sobriety. With the help of Avedis Recovery I was able to gain a newfound confidence in myself, my family’s trust, my faith in God, and most of all a clear and sober mind. Let me see how I start this and I will have write into multiple reviews and google does not allow this much writing in on shot 😊. I checked into Summit Recovery on April 5th and honestly I had no idea what I was walking into. I don't even fully remember everything leading up to it. My wife was the one who called the facility and she told me the program director spoke with me but I have zero memory of that conversation. I believe her though! 😊
What I do remember is being at the airport, my wife dropping me off, and got texts from their program director, that when I landed at Long Beach airport a man with long blonde hair would be picking me up. In my head I was picturing some 250 pound bouncer type, big and intimidating. Well that is not what showed up. This guy was nothing like that. He was sweet, humble and just had a calm energy about him. On the drive over to Summit he kept telling me I was going to be fine. I wasn't so sure about that but something about the way he said it made me want to believe him.
The staff at Summit are something else, and I truly mean that. It wasn't just the nurses and counselors, it was everybody. And I mean everybody. There was one lady on the cleaning staff, I wish I could mention her by name but I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but oh my god she made me feel like I was on vacation. Every single time I saw her she was smiling, full of energy and just made you feel good being around her. That kind of thing is contagious. Not just her, but every person I ran into treated me with respect and made me feel like I actually mattered. I could walk into pretty much anyone's office just to chat and we would end up laughing and joking around. Those moments were priceless to me, more than they probably know. When you are going through something that heavy, those little moments of just being normal and laughing with someone mean everything. Not once did I feel judged or ashamed for being there. They understood and they cared, not just about getting me sober but about me as a person.
Oh my god the food!! Nobody told me about this and I was not expecting it at all. They have a actual chef there cooking fresh every day, lunch and dinner both. Real food, like real real food. Not that cafeteria stuff or something sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Fresh, cooked from scratch every single day. I don't know how he did it but every meal was good. Like really good. After a few days I was actually looking forward to meal time which I did not see coming. That chef deserves his own review honestly. You can tell he took pride in what he was making and that meant a lot when you are going through something so tough. You go chef five stars for you buddy. And the program itself, I cannot say enough good things. But what really got me was the staff. I felt like I had known these people for years, like they were old friends of mine. It never felt like someone just handing you a bunch of papers to read or standing there lecturing you about drinking. These were real people who had lived real lives and gone through real things and they used that to help change the people around them. That is a completely different thing. You cannot fake that and you can feel the difference right away. That is what makes Summit special to me. One staff member I would like to say.. “you go girl .. \” even she told not to call her girl 😊
And the nurses, oh my god where do I start. I cannot thank them enough. Every single one of them knew their stuff but never made you feel like you were just another patient. They were warm, friendly and just easy to be around.
Director of nursing Ms. Carter :) Out internal joke. she not just help me with meds but also with my insurance stuff, cannot repay for all they help.
I wish I can talk about every staff member, but google not allowing it
I will not sugarcoat anything, it was hard, very hard, but I did it. Summit Recovery helped me every single day and never gave up on me. They are real people who will walk with you every step of the way. But you have to want it, that is it, simple as that.

I don't do the review thing. But in this case I will make an exception. When I finally came to the conclusion that perhaps I had enough of a drinking problem that I should enter a program, the biggest obstacle I thought I'd run into was finding a place, dealing with finances, and getting a spot. I gave myself a couple of months to figure it out. Summit was my second call on day one and I was admitted 3 days later. It happened so easily and quickly that I didn't have time to talk myself out of it. That alone was the biggest step on my journey to sobriety.
Upon arrival I had no idea what to expect since I had never been through this process before. Everybody at intake were extremely caring, considerate and helpful. Even though I felt completely at odds with the situation I took a deep breath and kinda dove in.
The staff, from the techs, to the therapists, to the chef, to the specialists...sound baths, chiropractic, yoga etc were outstanding from top to bottom. I learned so much in my 30 days, though the best piece advice came from the housekeeper on my second bewildering day there which was - enjoy your vacation.
I could write a book about what I experienced and learned at Summit. For all the expertise and care I received from the institution there greatest gift came from my fellow clients who were so incredibly giving and well..human. Through them I remembered that I liked people and that going forwards even though I'm the same person I was before I think I'm more aware of what that is and that I can work at being a better version of me.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given this opportunity, and if you are considering treatment there is nothing I can recommend higher than Summit. Good luck.

You’ll have luxurious amenities, l | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Looking back at my review from years ago I realized I only thanked Armen for saving my life. It was also too short of a review to do this place justice for how much they did for me. I would like to also add Mona, Milly, Knacio, Mike, Greg, Lalo and say thank you to all of you as well. I wish I expressed more gratitude on my journey with all of you. I did a lot of growing up there and it was all thanks to everyone not giving up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself. Going through their program and then earning my RADT and working as a Technician at 2 of their Detox locations and House Manager at one of their Sober Livings for them was probably some of my most fulfilling and happiest moments of my life. They showed me who I had the ability to become if I strived hard enough and believed in myself. I don’t know where I would be today or if I would even be alive if it wasn’t for every staff member and even the clients that were all there sharing their life stories and experiences and pushing us to all be better, not only to the people around us but also to ourselves. I feel like even saying this is underwhelming to how amazing this place and these people are. I love all of you guys. BpoBpo misses all of you as well. Thank you so much for everything.
If you are struggling to stay sober and find yourself, I strongly recommend reaching out to Vanity Wellness Center. The VWC Family is the absolute best place for recovery!

I can personally say that this is an absolute amazing place. I had great experience with the staff each and everyone hand-picked to perfection. If you ask my opinion, the nurse Jade is absolutely amazing. I know that I will miss her terrible Josh is very very very, very super amazing. deja super sweet person. Georgie is a very caring understanding person. I can actually say I have a good word for each and everyone of them. It would take up a lot of space so I won’t just know that I appreciate each and everyone of you and wish the very best in life for you I would also like to say that Ariel is absolutely amazing. There were a few situations that were scary that he was very comforting very understanding and I like the shout out and say things to everybody.

The detox is great. Awesome staff that cares and is patient with every client. It’s not a “one shoe fits all” we all have different issues. Staff addresses problems directly and doesn’t let problems linger. Great food. 3 meals a day. Self care day on Saturdays. Outings on Sundays. A lot of freedom and free time. Great groups. Small group of clients so it’s a more personal feel. Bonus: candy drawer

Since coming to this program almost 8 years ago coming this September 2025, I've been very much involved with my sobriety. I've asked my counselor Henry for lots of help. In making myself stronger internally, mentally and spiritually. I have become a much better person. My relationships with my daughter and grandchildren, also co-workers & just friends in general have really grown for the better. The BAART PROGRAM has really helped me.I can go on and on. I'm just so very glad that I stuck it out. Didn't give up. And let the program take its course. Couldn't ask for more.
