I have been battling addiction since my early twenties and thought that I had tried everything but always left treatment centers feeling like I should have gotten more or like I had more problems then before I got there. After leaving Hollywood Hills I feel the complete opposite. From the first time I spoke with Nick, who is one of the owners, I felt like they really cared about helping me. I am not from the area and they helped me get to the treatment center and i probably never would have made it if it hadn't been from that alone. From there I was greeted by smiles, hugs and encouraging amounts of love. The groups were fun and enlightening and not mundane and cookie cutter. It's like they someone actually put themselves in my shoes for once because I could feel the empathy and compassion from all of the staff and the other clients. I was given one on one therapy session by a licensed therapist and had the opportunity to look into my problems and past the obvious. My medical needs were attended to. If I wasn't in group and was going through something there was always someone there was always a qualified individual there that would listen to me or even watch a movie with me. I feel like me again and I would be lying if I said that I would feel that way even if I didn't go to Hollywood Hills Recovery. Thank you to all the staff at Hollywood Hills Recovery for helping me begin to find my way.

Accepted Insurance

Hollywood Hills Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober living homes in California offers an intermediate sober environment that has less structure than inpatient rehab but more than typical home environments. This makes it a good option for those who have concerns about transitioning back to the "real world" after treatment. Residents can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, if they are willing to follow house rules. These may include a curfew, chores, and maintaining a job.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab's clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

Recreational therapy is included in alcohol and drug addiction treatment to focus on engaging you in healthy activities that reduce your cravings and improve your overall health and well being. When you participate in group sports, art, or nature walks, you develop new interests and find a meaningful way to spend your time and reduce your cravings.

The goal of creative arts therapy in California is to encourage growth and transformation. It can be used in individual and group settings with both children and adults. Options include movement, music, and painting.

The use of experiential therapy can be helpful for the treatment of behavioral disorders, including drug and alcohol addiction. This method teaches you how to release negative emotions and cope with pain from the past. Activities such as art, music, and animal care are used to facilitate this process.

I can’t say enough good things about this treatment center. From day one, the staff and owners made me feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. You can tell they aren’t just here for a paycheck — they truly love what they do and go above and beyond to make sure every client feels safe and valued. One of the things that stood out to me was that they let me keep my phone. It might sound small, but it made a huge difference being able to stay in touch with my family while still committing to the program. That balance of trust and accountability helped me stay grounded during my stay. The therapy and case management here are what really set this place apart. The therapists were knowledgeable and compassionate, always willing to meet me where I was at instead of forcing a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Case management worked with me step by step, helping me set goals, prepare for life after treatment, and build a foundation I could actually maintain. Since graduating, I’ve stayed sober — and I honestly credit that to the tools, guidance, and support I received here. This isn’t just a treatment center; it’s a family that gives you hope and equips you with everything you need to rebuild your life. If you’re struggling and looking for a place that will treat you with love, respect, and real care, this is the place to go.

Hollywood Hills Recovery gave my loved one a second chance at life, and I’m forever grateful. From the moment we reached out, the admissions team was kind, responsive, and truly understanding of what we were going through. Throughout the program, the staff kept us informed and involved. The clinical team was incredibly professional, offering personalized therapy and evidence-based groups like CBT, DBT, and relapse prevention. It wasn’t just about detox—it was about real healing. The facility is beautiful and secure, and the holistic therapies like yoga, art, and fitness made a real impact on their emotional recovery. Today, my family member is thriving, and I truly believe Hollywood Hills Recovery made that possible. If your family is struggling with addiction, this is the place to trust.
