I recently found out that a family member was struggling with addiction. I was so lost and confused on where to start. Thankfully Conor at Pacific Sands was one of my first calls. He made me feel heard and understood exactly what I was going through. He gave me really great advice and knowledge on addiction. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go with them because of insurance reasons but, he was very helpful, attentive and reassuring. My husband I went to this program together after both having started our recovery journey separately. I absolutely recommend this Recovery center for several reasons. The staff is always willing to go the extra step to ensure your getting your needs met, whatever they may be it gets taken care of. The foundation the company sets for recovery is well above average. We left due to my husband's work needs but found that after leaving we went from Senior on highschool level education for recovery into a program that feels really elementary. Special shout to Kam for going above and beyond the expectations of a group facilitator and case manager. We appreciate everything this company has done for us in our lives as individuals and as a married couple as well.

My mom went to cornerstone to get sober and better herself 8 years ago, and now I am here and have nothing but the utmost respect for all of the staff that helped me get to where I am today. I truly could not have made it this far and could not have been as confident as I am currently in myself and my recovery if it weren't for the time and dedication in which they put in to ensure my stay here went as smooth as possible. The assignments they give are all engaging and make you dive deep interpersonally, spiritually, mentally, and the like to emphasize what you need to grow and work on during your journey to sobriety, and for that I am so thankful. It is a shame to see this place go as Dr. Stone enters his well-deserved retirement, but I am honored to be one of the final clients to have came through this wonder rehabilitation center, I truly feel I have found a community where I belong!

My time at Newport had its challenges, but overall it was a valuable and healing experience. The staff were dedicated and truly cared about helping each person. Shout out to Bri who leads a fabulous team of care coordinators: Paras, Haley, Nohely, Gaby, Liz, Ariel, Daniela, Alondra, and Sumayyah, along with my clinical team Heather and Sam, and alumni coordinator Jessica! We had fun outings like the beach, roller skating, farmers market, berry picking, mini golf and more. The therapy and programming was insightful, and we also had great groups with yoga, music, equine, and art. (Special thanks to the yoga instructor Shannon, who made yoga really accessible for everyone and also provided an amazing sound bath experience with crystal bowls!) Some days were tough and the schedule and rules could feel overwhelming, but looking back, I realize the structure was exactly what I needed. I’d recommend Newport to anyone looking for a supportive environment to work on themselves, as long as they’re ready to fully commit to the process.

The staff was incredibly supportive, but they also knew when to push me and hold me accountable, which made a huge difference in my growth. It was my first time with a primary care Dr appointment through the VA. I was there at the Santa Ana VA facility 15 minutes before my appointment and went straight to the front desk. I was checked in quickly and the person at the desk was friendly.
There were only two people waiting in the waiting area. One of them was called in only a couple of minutes after I sat down. I heard him make a comment about how quickly he was taken in while he showed a look of surprise. At my scheduled appointment time I was called into the back and did all the usual stuff like weigh in blood pressure, etc. that process only took a few minutes and the nurse was very nice. She filled me in on the process they would use and what to expect. I was taken to the treatment room to wait for the PCP. The PCP came in just a few minutes after that and I did not have to wait long. She was not only helpful addressing some of my needs and concerns, but also explaining my bloodwork results and the things that she thought that I needed concerning that. In addition she made referrals to other services she thought would be beneficial for my overall health. She wrote prescriptions for the things that I needed as well as pointing out some of the services that they have available through the VA that I can sign up for myself which she thought I might be interested in. She was very nice. We took care of many things during this first appointment. I felt very well attended to and secure talking to her. I ended up getting in to x-ray same day even though was there was very little time left available that day. The doctor, the nurse, and the person at the desk all helped to get me in to X-ray quickly. Since it was at the end of the day, I didn’t expect to, but was pleased to be able to get in and get it taken care of. The x-ray technician was excellent (meaning quick, caring and accurate)as well as friendly to talk to. He also mentioned on the way in that it was no problem getting me in at the last minute. The facility itself looks well taken care of and looks to have up-to-date medical devices, machinery, etc. The only trouble that I had (if I’m being nitpicky) was when I used the restroom In the x-ray room and the sink sprays water too forcefully and it splashes everywhere making a mess to clean up. also the door is too heavy to open and I couldn’t get it open on my own so the x-ray technician helped me open the heavy door. He had already warned me ahead of time it was heavy and thankfully he was right there ready to help me the moment when I needed it. It would be nice if they improve that because it was difficult, especially with a walker to go in and out of, but other than, my experience was excellent. I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctors appointment anywhere anytime that has gone that smoothly in the past. I feel like I’m getting terrific care here which puts my concerns at ease. This was a terrific first appointment. Thank you to all who helped me today.

I was totally lost when I hit rock bottom. I knew I needed help. I didn’t understand that there were people who cared and understood and would help. Long story but I could not do it by myself. I begged the courts to let me do a treatment program. When I drove up to the Villa I knew this was where I should be. A beautiful Victorian house so warm and welcoming. The staff cared, the program worked. There were phone calls allowed daily. You got to walk to a local store daily, you got one family day on Sunday for a few hours. Other wise the structure and love and learning to live life again saved my life. I was very ready. So it took me this one time and have been sober 18 years. I was there the winter of 2019/2020. It's not fun, it's rehab. But they make it so welcoming and understanding with numerous counselors holding sessions all week. We had outdoor yoga, a gym membership, money allotted each weekend per person to have a free day. Equine therapy was every other week we'd drive to the canyon and play with all the ponies and horses! The house we were in was brand new and super nice. All the staff was above par. They really care about others. I can't say enough good things!!!

Cant say enough positive things about this caring calm yet professional place. It provides a safe relaxed environment yet it is a productive with nurturing activities and sessions. The Director has been amazing in making this process so smooth and always available for any advice and assistance. What a sanctuary to find that provides all the help needed.

When I think of California Prime it instantly fills me with so much peace! I was dealing with severe cocaine and alcohol addiction. After serving in the military and coming home, I needed help. And I knew that the average rehab and recovery program wouldn’t work with me. I needed something challenging, something different. Treehouse provided that. With a wide range of different and unique approaches to treating addiction like challenging workouts, team building, riding waves on the beach of Costa Mesa on rafts with other men struggling with the same disease, addiction education to help me better understand my disease on a scientific level, and outdoor adventures like going camping, taking trips to cool beaches to surf at. This place isn’t just a recovery center, it’s a family. I am now 6 months sober and graduated the program and I couldn’t feel more grateful and proud of myself. And I know my family could say the same. Anyone struggling with addiction and looking for a program that heals you both mentally and physically NEEDS to give this place a shot.
