It has been 6months since I finished my therapy with them and Im so proud to say my mental health is where I only dreamed of it to be. No one is perfect and daily stressors exits but now I know how to cope and deal with the things that life throws my way. The people around me have told me they see a huge difference in me and my mindset. I have a more positive outlook, I can see things a bit more clear, I have goals for my future and I feel more positive about it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but My anxiety is manageable and not one day goes by that I don’t use the coping skills that I learn with them. I've been to two different rehabs before this one (one being a well-known, Nationwide facility) and this is by far the superior institution. They have several different levels of care to assist in every stage of the rehabilitation process. The detox was smooth and cautious; I felt extremely safe and comfortable. The group sessions are gentle and inviting, to let clients know that they are in capable hands and an accepting environment. The therapy sessions dive deep into the mental health issues that lead to addiction. The staff is professional when they need to be, but also speak to clients like they are real people and not just another patient. The homey atmosphere (as opposed to a hospital setting) makes the experience both realistic and comforting. The way it's ran shows clients that they can live a normal, sober life. It impacts their recovery journey by letting clients set attainable daily and long-term goals. The staff empowers each client to know they have the strength to pursue these goals, with the help from them and then eventually on their own. Drugs and alcohol were how I coped with the emotional distress I had been long experiencing and during my time at IVRS the staff, the structure, and the atmosphere provided me with an atmosphere that I could make a lasting change. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Linda Iwasaki 4 months ago i truly do not understand why the VCC gary center has low reviews… i visited them twice this past week and i had a great experience. the front desk staff can be a little cold, but once you talk to them they are helpful. my first visit was with dr mansuri and he was so welcoming and made me feel seen/heard. ive had troubles in the past getting an oncologist referral but dr mansuri made it happen without any issues. im very thankful for him and im excited to have him as my doctor. i also visited the dentist and i absolutely LOVE dr dayrit. she is seriously the best.. so kind and fun to talk to. i feel very well cared for and had a fantastic time. the dentist assistant (im sorry i don’t have your name) was also extremely sweet and caring.
