t's very important to me that this review reaches the highest level of supervisors or authorities at this whole institution. Far too many times people are willing to go out of their way to leave a review when they have a bad or unpleasant experience somewhere. But when there's a great experience or something goes well, it gets unsaid, nobody ever hears about it. Dr Reier, is an example of someone who should be recognized and praised publicly! Less than 12 hours of being admitted into the hospital, after a visit to the ER, for numbness and tingling in my legs, Neurosurgeon, Dr Reier, enters my room and explains to me, with a language I can understand, what is taking place in my body. He then gives me an explanation of the treatment and need for emergency surgery. He spoke with a confidence and I easily trusted him. With no hesitation or delay, I was prepped and ready for surgery. All the departments Came together and strategically did their parts. The process seemed to take place so perfectly and for that I had instant gratitude. What came next is what really blew my mind. First realizing that this team of surgeons had just prevented me from having a lifetime of permanent bowel and urine dysfunction and possibly paralysis. This team or should I say teams of family medicine Doctors and neurosurgeons and follow up care professionals, have given me an experience I would have never expected. I swear they should have just all had a set of wings and been floating in the air. I have never seen so many kind people, especially in the medical field where people are crabby and moody.. it almost seems unreal that doctor after doctor nurse after nurse, everybody who has entered my room, has done so with such a pleasant grace that makes me emotional to think that these people exist and actually care about my health and my condition. Dr Reier, has gone way above and way beyond what's normally expected from a surgeon? He has spent extra time, never making me feel rushed or like he was bothered. He requested that my family stay back so that he could give a full. Illustration, to explain to them and help them understand the situation. He has communicated with them and made sure that they understand what's going on amd what's going to come. We are so grateful to him. Every single nurse that has been assigned to me, has been wonderful. It seems as though this entire staff took an extra course in kindness. ICU nurses Dana, Diana, Alzen, Allison, Eliza, charge nurses Brittney and Sarah, oh my goodness these women deserve to be honored for the level of care that they provide so lovingly. Each one has given me such genuine polite kind, sweet treatment because this time for me has been very challenging and the pain that i'm going through, along with the other things like not being able to use the bathroom on my own and so on. Not one of these women has made me feel uncomfortable or inconvenienced. Let's talk about the team!!! Omg!!!! With all that has already been said about the fore-mentioned people, you already think it can't get any better than this. Then WOW here comes the team. Dr Goorhuis or as I call him, Dr G. Dr Potes Dr Esmeralda Dr Dahliwal The emotions that I feel as I write these statements is overwhelming. This team came in every day professionally and joyfully. They answered every question me or my family had. They were patient, kind, knowledgeable, and invested. In closing I urge you to please place a copy of this letter on the desktop of each person mentioned in it! Dr Reier you saved my life!!! This team of members deserves to be recognized greatly for their service. Each person mentioned has made a tremendous impact in my life that I will never forget!

A nurse thought I was asleep and said, "he's crazy, but he's in a wheelchair. Whats he gonna do?" in refference to me, when letting the next shift sitter know whats up. I thought the long wait was because when I finally got a bed, theyd listen to me and help me. And that they where just helping and listening to other patients. It took 2 days to get a bed, and when I got one I was essentially dismissed for a week aside from the nurses. Anyone with authority to help me replied more or less with (general paraphrase) "That sucks. Maybe its anxiety and youll stop needing a wheelchair soon". I was told (paraphrase, nearly exactly what was said) "We're gonna run these blood tests so you cant send a complaint to insurance saying we didnt do anything". They where in such a rush to open up a bed, that they didn't wait for a wheelchair accesible place to send me to. They sent me somewhere, where I was unable to safely access a restroom or shower for a week. A security gaurd also broke my phone when I got there, the hospital did nothing about it. My experience with this hospital, and the one they sent me to was so bad that I have nightmares about going back, and panic attacks at the idea of going to any sort of doctor or hospital. I had a heart attack, and didn't even tell my pcp, let alone consider going to an er. I get genuine panic at the thought of talking to even just my pcp. This isnt the worst of my experience. If I try to express the worst of it, I shake uncontrollabley. I become physically unable to control my body when I think about my experience here. Like, "no point in living" bad. I met a lot of nurses and staff who agreed that the hospital didnt help people, they just try to milk patients for money. And it startled me because I had heard this was meant to be a good hospital. So if even the good ones are this bad, I give up on treating my condition. I'm letting it progress.

The ER. I get they see a lot of the same cases to they diagnose someone with similar conditions but to do no real test to confirm or rule out a more serious life threatening problem. I swear this is so careless. The medical field has gotten so bad that people are just a number and they just pretend to care. Low income people are people too. Struggling just to make an appointment with the doctor. Struggling when they cancel appointments you need and make appointments you don't. Seniors are treating horribly.

Accepted Insurance

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

When an individual is in denial about their substance use disorder, their loved ones may organize a drug intervention in California. This effort involves gently but assertively confronting the individual about their substance use and sharing how it has affected those who care about them. A professional interventionist may also attend this gathering. Their expertise with intervention services can prove helpful in guiding the conversation to a positive result.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab's clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Never coming here again. Don't want to do any imaging on my back because "He already knows what it is." Asked for either an MRI or X-ray for back pain that had been progressively getting worse throughout the last few days. Don't waste your time coming here if you're in pain.

Today, I called InService ROI, Inc., and spoke with Christian. I gave her both invoice numbers, and she stated that 45 pages cost $54.30. The other account was 42 pages and cost $48.72. I asked why the copies were over a dollar per page. She replied that the attorney would pay for it; I said no. We went back and forth. I stated that I requested the copies but would like the copies to be mailed to an attorney’s office. I explained that I will be paying for both copies (mine and for my child, who is a minor), and I want the copies to be mailed to the address I gave. This lady literally cannot do arithmetic at an elementary level, and she cannot comprehend basic English as an English speaker. I have never signed a release for Arrowhead Hospital to share my information with InService ROI, Inc., 43055 80th St. West, Lancaster, CA 93536. I have NEVER authorized Arrowhead to give my medical records and my daughter’s medical records to this company. This is a clear violation of my HIPAA. Christian comes across as a person with low IQ and have access to patients’ complete medical records, this could be a liability. Depending who requested the file the cost is completely differently is illegal. There should be only ONE cost per page. NOT different cost depending who is ordering records. This call was made at 9:17 am on October 9, 2025 for 13 minutes without any answers.

Horrible customer service. I took my child here to see the Orthopedic , Her doctor sent us here, as she put in a referral. Doctor told us to go immediately to see the orthopedic. The man at the check-in was so rude. We are people going in to see an orthopedic because of a serious injury. The unprofessional and rude attitude is really not appreciated . He had a bad attitude absolutely no help whatsoever, Just because he wants to sound like he’s right. As a nurse myself I know this is unacceptable behavior towards individuals.
