The STAFF genuinely cares about their clients. The female administrator Norma on first introduction expressed concern regarding my situation. She was communicative, genuine and asked some personal questions leading up to the fateful day ; as I call it. But I never felt demised or ridiculed. I felt like I was speaking a close friend or family member who could relate to to my situation and there of. Melvin and Armand were the two instructors who honestly brought humor, acceptance, knowledge, information and the honesty of a rude awakening if you should choose so. I transferred into Jisselle's class, and he has been amazing throughout the process. He provides genuine counseling, guidance, and support to every participant, creating an environment where people feel heard and understood. Even the owner is hands-on, helpful, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service. Shawn Spencer 1 month ago So lived in La Canada 22 years and this hospital has completely turned things around. My young daughter had for years been experiencing severe abdominal pain. We went to Huntington a few times they kept saying it was ovarian cyst, which seemed improbable. Finally, in the middle of the night during an episode went to Verdugo where the head of emergency noticed on a CT scan her urethra was dilated. She got accurately diagnosed with kidney stones (and a kidney diverticulum) which she’s been passing since she was five years old. She did subsequently have multiple surgeries at Children’s Hospital. Very grateful for that doctor. My daughter has subsequently passed multiple stones while in high school and I cannot explain how lovely the staff is here with helping her manage her pain. We have used the ER for other things over the years (I suffered from epiglottis from having Covid and had a very restricted airway and they rushed me in immediately and started IV steroids. I was terrified and the staff was great). and all of our experiences have been positive. Staff is attentive and caring. I would go out of my way to use this hospital in the future. To anyone thinking or considering coming here, let this be your confirmation to start packing TODAY. This program has literally changed my life in more ways than just becoming sober. I was on heroin and meth before I admitted into detox and it's been 73 days now and the transformation is something I thought wasnt even possible for me. If you're from out of state and worried about starting over, don't be. They got you. But it starts with you deciding to make a change, and having an open mind to give them the chance to help. After your 28days, They have a badass PHP, IOP program, the facilitators are mostly recovering addicts themselves or educated drug counselors or both. These people are so freaking awesome and they genuinely care and you'll notice it immediately. I seriously can't stress enough to anyone considering coming here, if you're uncertain or hesitant about making the call...which I feel like is something every addict goes through beforehand, DO NOT LET ANYTHING OR ANYONE STOP YOU FROM THIS OPPORTUNITY. You can always go home if you want to but you can't always experience recovery like this. I had reached out to Wish after being assaulted by a staff member at another program ( not affiliated with Wish) within 20 minutes of my call James had sent a uber to pick me up. Then between James and Fran they made sure my medications and the rest of my property were picked up. I was never made to feel like I was an inconvenience and my concerns were addressed without hesitation. All of the documentation needed to support my leave from work was completed promptly and sent to the necessary departments. The therapists are amazing and the center is beautiful, clean, and staffed with courteous professionals. My house manager Matt is caring and respectful.
