About Wish Recovery | luxury rehab & detox

Wish Recovery in Northridge, California, is a drug and alcohol treatment center that provides detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient care. Clients receive both traditional and alternative therapies to help with healing addiction. The location, which is about an hour outside of LA, features a variety of amenities including a gym, private rooms and a pool.

Discreet Treatment for Professionals

Substance abuse can affect individuals at every level of social status, including professionals in business, politics, law and other prominent industries. Given the importance of your time, Wish Recovery can provide effective addiction treatment in the shortest time possible so you can return to your work. Your treatment program will include medically supervised detox, relapse prevention education and life skills development.

Supplemental Treatments to Promote Healing

One of the things that stood out the most to me about this facility is the various supplemental treatments available. Clients can receive alternative therapeutic services such as chiropractic care, sound therapy and acupuncture. Sound therapy involves the use of sound waves to help reduce stress and anxiety. It can help with lessening the effects of your withdrawal and reduce your urge to use substances.

In addition to these treatments, fitness can also be incorporated into your recovery. The facility offers a fitness and wellness program to improve your strength and build your confidence so you can feel more capable of overcoming your addiction.

This is a good place. Some of the staff are decent but there's one in particular. His name is Brett and I must say this man has helped me time and time again and he has sat woth me past his shift many of times and would not leave my side until he knew i was goi g to be ok. And if it wasn't for this young man i guarantee you I would have relapsed and already went back to my Hometown. But this man gave me courage, wisdom and knowledge and helped me find myself in more ways than one. He goes out of his way he goes out of his comfort zone to make sure his clients here Are on top of the World. He wants to see them Succeed and he always comes in with a smile on his face because he glows to help other people. So I must say whoever gets this young man and the future at the establishment hang on to cause he's a angel from heaven. I promise you this. He always tells me rip down my rear view mirror I don't need it no more cause I look forward and keep looking forward and not backwards. No more so I ripped my rearview mirror down because of this man. Whoever gets him as an employee.Hang on to him tight because he is god's sent

I hope this letter finds you well. I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for all that you’ve done not just for me, but for everyone who walks through the doors of Wish Rehab looking for a second chance at life. When I came here, I was broken in so many ways physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I had lost direction, hope, and nearly everything that mattered to me. But being here changed everything. The environment you’ve created, the support you’ve put in place, and the staff you’ve chosen every part of it made a difference in my journey. I honestly believe that God led me here because He knew this place could save me. Because of Wish Rehab, I am slowly but surely becoming the person I was meant to be. I’m taking my recovery seriously. I’m sober, I’m gaining my health back, I’m surrounded by people who truly care, and most importantly, I’m learning to love myself again. None of this would be possible without the space and opportunity you’ve given me. From the bottom of my heart thank you. Thank you for believing in people like me when we’ve stopped believing in ourselves. Thank you for building something that truly changes lives. I owe you my life, and I mean that with everything in me. With endless appreciation and respect,

Accepted Insurance

Wish Recovery | luxury rehab & detox works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

12-step icon12-Step

Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober living homes in California offers an intermediate sober environment that has less structure than inpatient rehab but more than typical home environments. This makes it a good option for those who have concerns about transitioning back to the "real world" after treatment. Residents can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, if they are willing to follow house rules. These may include a curfew, chores, and maintaining a job.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

Substances can prevent the absorption of nutrients and cause damage to your body's systems. Nutrition therapy in California addresses the deficiencies in vitamins and minerals that are caused by substance abuse.

The goal of creative arts therapy in California is to encourage growth and transformation. It can be used in individual and group settings with both children and adults. Options include movement, music, and painting.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

All they want is the money. There was no recovery for my loved one. He always had a cell phone. They tell the patients what they want to hear. My lovd one left wish recovery and was homeless for about a month before I found out he was no longer at the facility.

Okay, for starters. Yes, this place is real. I've been here. since, December 6th 2024, I'm coming up on 5 months of sobriety, I'm currently in the IOP portion of the program. When I arrived at Wish, detox, back in December, I was completely broken. I came through the door with the gift of desperation and since then I've been taking it One Day at a Time. The staff has been great. The entire staff have been great. The owners are great too . I would like to leave names, but there's so many good people here that I don't want to leave anybody out but this is a really good place. Wish isn't perfect, and the people here are not perfect, but if you want to get help and really want support, you can find that here. If you want to go on doing it your way as we've done so many times before then I feel sorry for you and I pray that you receive the gift of pain in order to recover. I'm about to enroll in college classes now to start a second career once I graduate IOP here at Wish everything you need to stay sober and get sober is here the meeting, supporter staff, counselors, therapy, group therapy and peer support. If you want to get sober and stay sober, you can do it here at Wish. See you when you get here as we trudge the road of happy destiny together. Charles B
