I went here briefly from 2011 - 2012 & it saved me then. I unfortunately relapsed multiple times & went in & out of inpatient rehabs for years. In 2018 I decided to give Aegis another go. I am now coming up on SIX YEARS CLEAN in October thanks to this program helping to o keep my arse in line.

This place changed and saved my life. I owe the staff and owners everything. They took a dead man walking and gave me hope through God and the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous. If you need a way out I recommend you give this program a chance. It is above and beyond a different take on rehabilitation. I completed my treatment at Enlight Treatment Center a year ago, and it was a truly transformative experience. When I first arrived, I was dealing with the aftermath of a broken jaw and the emotional scars from being tortured at a fake detox center, which left me terrified to trust anyone. My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Our daughter had been prescribed a strong medication after she was hurt during gymnastics practice. We never expected it to lead to an addiction. We re so grateful to the staff of Beachside for helping her when we could not.

Anxiety has turned into such a buzzword as of late. Hearing it so often ended up desensitizing us to some issues our son was going through. Anxiety is not something to put a generic label on and be cavalier about, it’s real and has a big effect on your life. I’m so glad he is at Beachside getting help. I highly recommend Avalon if you are seeking treatment for either or both addiction or mental health treatment. I personally had a long struggle with addiction, depression and anxiety. The services and treatment they provided allowed me to heal in what I felt was a safe and comfortable space. All the staff from the RAs to the clinicians to the doctors and even the maids were so welcoming and I believe truly had my best interest in heart. Not only have I noticed this for myself but also with my peers who stayed at Avalon during my time as well. I have seen them treat some cases that were extremely difficult and they did so with precision and care and I was able to witness these people that on some level I thought were hopeless actual heal, get stabilized and come out the other side. Here are some areas where TPM excelled: World class staff (from therapists to Resident Advisors), delicious and healthy food, beautiful and clean facilities, fun and engaging groups and excursions, the list really could go on.I chose TPM for their chronic pain program after being house bound with chronic pain and illness for 7 years, since age 14. I had NO life and my health was severely compromised. TPM took me in with open arms and a plan. I have since made a deep and true recovery from ALL of my chronic pain and symptoms. I was in a car accident 30 years ago and severed my foot broke my back and was in the ICU for 24 days. I spent years having reconstructive surgeries and hours of physical therapy. As I got older they put me on a pain cocktail which I stayed on for seventeen years.I was in and out of a wheelchair and walked with a cane. I never thought that I would have any sort of quality of life. I m living a life now where I can travel and watch my grandchildren. I even got a dog that I take on walks without a cane. I do Pilates and yoga and feel better than I have in decades. The pain recovery program was ground breaking for me, The team of doctor s Dr. Mel and Dr. Les and therapist s Christiana and Morgan are AMAZING . The food and accommodations were 5 star. The attention to your individuality was impressive. What they do can not be beat by any other program out there. All the staff took a real interest in my well being with genuine concern. Thank you for giving me my life back team.

My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

My adult son had been in two prior outpatient rehabs. When insurance covered his treatment at Cliffside, I was initially skeptical of such a luxury experience with weekly massages, sound baths, acupuncture, cleaning and laundry service, fresh, organic cooked meals, outings, yoga, trips to the gym and spectacular views. It seemed more like a vacation I thought. But, it turned out to be just what my son needed. With these experiences and the small ratio of clients:providers, he was able to finally open up and start addressing the pain he had been numbing with substances. Tanya, his case manager, helped him with his needs and setting him up with outpatient care. Roxan, his therapist, was a tremendous help to him. Family sessions are available and the nurses and tech staff also offered great support. Patients have to option to be taken to AA, Smart Start, and NA meetings as well. My son didn't want to leave! My only suggestion would be to have online family meetings available in the evenings/after work hours. I am very grateful for the care my son received.

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude to Cliffside Malibu for Saving and Changing my life forever. They have/had so much more to offer than other places and programs that I have gone to. This time it has really stuck for me. My life is free and reset. The houses make you feel like your at home. The staff is great! Most are in active recovery themselves and some were actually prior clients themselves. That stood out alot to me and gave me comfort and hope. That feeling that someone who I didn't know, really cared about me. Everything was clean, worry free and the good was excellent. Professional and caring staff

I worked as a program aide at Visions for 8 months. I saw the innermost workings of the company and worked directly with the kids. Working as a program aide at Visions was the most meaningful time of my life. Program aides spend the most time with the kids, and because of that I was able to watch the transformation happen.I saw kids come into Visions in psychosis, in deep depression, in immense anxiety, and in general suffering. I watched many miracles happen over the course of 45-60 days. And I saw those same kids who came into Visions so sick leave completely changed. Visions works because of their insistence on the family work. While Visions' residents are doing the work, their parents are doing the work along with them. Each kid at Visions has a Family Therapist, and individual therapist, a psychiatrist, an internist, a host of program aids, and a depth of specialty clinicians for CBT therapy, DBT therapy, eating disorders, OCD, ASD, Trauma.These kids have more help at their disposal at Visions than any human generally ever experiences. Offering this level of support in such a critical time in a teen's life sets them up for successes beyond their and their parents' dreams. I know because I saw it. I directly experienced the change.Visions is a beautiful place and I am grateful for every minute I got to tech there.
