While the clients are mainly athletes, there are also clients that are in recovery for addiction, I being one of them. I enjoyed the group sessions, and they were very healing. My therapist, Pia, is a true gift, and I would recommend her for anyone healing from addiction. The staff was more like a family and they treated me very well. From the owner Deb to the administration, techs, and nursing staff, everybody was very accommodating to me. A shout out to the chefs, while being there almost thirty five days, every meal was delightful every time. I only wish I could stay longer, thank you Pure Recovery for My Success, I am well. Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs. Today they were over the top in ensuring I received the TDap vaccine that I needed before the delivery of my Grand-daughter “Noodle”. But after seeing a community physician and being soundly disappointed, I decided to brave it anyway. What a happy surprise it was! I was treated with dignity and respect by every staff member I encountered, and although I did have to wait a fair bit for the doc (because he takes the extra time with patients, which I consider good, thank you), the place stayed open for me, and any of the staff still needed stayed as well. The only reason for knocking off a star is the difficulty in reaching the CBOC by phone and returning calls.. they are still being routed through the Greater LA VA Hospital call center, which is at least improving by not having a robot say that they are having high call volume and hanging up on you. My time at Enlight was nothing short of extraordinary. I arrived to this treatment center during one of the lowest points of my life. I was living out of my hammock on the border of Los Padres National Forest, deciding that I would exile myself from the pleasantries of having any friends or continuing to be a member of my family. After 3 months of living in the bush, I decided to go get help. In the 80 days that I was at Enlight, I started the 12 Steps, I picked up my first sponsor, and most importantly, I found myself again. After years of suffering with a clouded conscience and minimial self-confidence, the staff here helped me regain my sense of belonging and made me feel proud of who I am. Chef Carlito went from being the guy who prepared all the meals 6 days a week to being a true friend to me. Mish and Will consistently made sure that I was comfortable during my time at the facility, and also ensured that my after-care plans were the best they could offer. The entire IMS team; Chase, Charles, West, Atom, Anna, and Chris always offered their friendship and conversation no matter the time of day. The clinical staff; Yayé, Narine, Karen, Kristen, and Jen helped me examine my deficiencies that I developed while in active addiction so that I could work to rebuild, and find my true sense of self once more. Lastly, thank you to Dr. Albert and Vahe for allowing me the opportunity to show my true character under a supreme level of care. We had taken him to multiple detox centers here in New Jersey where we live but nothing would really change in his behavior. He would maintain a few weeks of sobriety but would always end up back to the bottle. Finally we found Enlight Treatment Center after a few psychiatrists here in New Jersey had recommended we come out to california to get our friend the help that he needs. Its been about two years since he completed the program at Enlight and we never thought he would be where he is today. 2 years sober with a healthy family life. Man, cant thank Enlight enough for the work that they have done for us, my friend and his family. If youre looking for a detox facility, dont waste time looking elsewhere. Dr. Alber and Dr. Gevorkian are working magic here. God bless the work you guys do. They had 3 different MD psychiatrists that we meet in person and address all substance abuse and mental health needs in person as opposed to other centers that only see clients over zoom. I was in a pretty rough place and needed to get some intensive support. I found Elevation while researching and what drew to me to them vs other places I saw was; * Private Room. I had to be honest with myself that this was something important to me, to have my own space. * Daily Individual Therapy. In addition to group having daily individual therapy to help work through things and make the most of the time there. * Electronic Devices Allowed. I have two young kids and I wanted to be able to stay in contact with family as well as use my laptop to research and view content related to what I was working through. After filling out the form on the website Stephanie the admissions director reached out right away. Before she walked me through more details about the program she checked in to make sure I was ok, I felt supported already. She helped answer all my questions as well as get the information she needed to verify insurance coverage and what I would have to pay out of pocket. She got back to me quickly again and we figured out an admission date. When I arrived in Los Angeles I was picked up at the airport and driven to their Calabasas house. I won’t go into too many details about the house, it’s pretty fantastic and there are picture on the website. I was greeted upon arrival, checked in, given a tour, and sometime to settle in my room. Everyone in the house from the cleaner, chef, coaches, therapists, and psychiatrist are supportive and genuinely interested in making you comfortable and ready for doing the personal work you need. There is a wonderful variety of therapies from individual, group, equine, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, nature walks, pool/jacuzzi, art, and music which all come at your problems from different angles and build on each other. The coaches are always available and engaged between sessions to keep the momentum going and support you. Having daily individual therapy plus two groups daily helped me dive deep into the underlying issues I was facing and my progress built on itself everyday. I felt like I was making a months progress every week. My therapist Chad was just what I needed, he was thoughtful, creative and pushed when needed to help me go further. I arrived in a very low state (not my usual self) and was able to quickly let go and unravel, the staff and my fellow patients helped put me back together and create sustainable coping techniques and strategies so I could return home a new person. Having house-mates was a wonderful experience, even though we all came from very different walks of life and reasons for coming, we found deep common ground and support with each other. We laughed, and cried, and laughed again together. The center of a house is the kitchen, and at Elevation this was no exception. Chef Jerry and Josh not only made amazing and healthy food, they were open to having us join the process and learn how to cook. We spent most of our afternoons between sessions joining in on the cooking process. Chef Jerry was like another therapist who gave us amazing life advice and was always open to listen to use when we needed a little support. Everyone at elevation from the cleaner to the coaches and the patients all eat the same food together. It felt like a big family. I felt that when I needed alone time and privacy or wanted to do something social I could move between those modalities anytime. I never felt pressure to join in anything, just welcomed. I left elevation feeling like a new person, equipped with new skills and strategies to thrive at home and at work. I highly recommend Elevation. It’s hands down the best mental health care I’ve ever received. The setting is incredible — beautiful houses, exercise equipment, pools, jacuzzis, and so many community resources. They will take you on outings to the Pacific Ocean to watch sunsets — and yes, you will see dolphins! From the residential program to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), every detail is thought about and the staff are always there to help. The Santa Monica Mountains surround you, and the views are so breathtaking you can sit for hours just taking it all in, meditating, and really feel yourself start to heal. The food is amazing too — they have private chefs who customize meals to fit your diet and treatment needs, with tons of healthy options. Unlike most residential treatment programs, you get both individual and group therapy every day. That’s really unheard of in a residential program — usually you would receive one or two individual sessions a week The staff and therapists are absolutely amazing — they genuinely care and don’t let you give up on yourself. I cant name them all because I would forget someone. Too many to count; dedicated and MOre than experts at what they do! If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. Look no further if you want to receive the best residential mental health care available in the most beautiful setting. You receive daily groups and individual therapy, which is rare in residential mental health treatment in my experience. I recently received residential at Elevations in Calabasas, CA. (Nov. 2024) I felt safe and cared for. Dr. Chaudhri cares deeply about the programs and getting things right. The dedicated technicians make sure that you are always safe and your needs are met. The therapists are dedicated and exceptional in their treatment of complex mental health diagnoses (BiPolar, depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety.) The psychiatrist is one of the best I've ever had. The services I received and I encourage people to get are: EMDR, Nuerofeedback, massage, life coaching, nutrition consultation, meditation, acupuncture, and yoga. Make them part of your treatment if you can. The journey is hard work but being in such a beautiful place with highly qualified and compassionate people makes it easier. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment. There is a very diverse clientele at Pure Recovery. While the clients are mainly athletes, there are also clients that are in recovery for addiction, I being one of them. I enjoyed the group sessions, and they were very healing. My therapist, Pia, is a true gift, and I would recommend her for anyone healing from addiction. The staff was more like a family and they treated me very well. From the owner Deb to the administration, techs, and nursing staff, everybody was very accommodating to me. A shout out to the chefs, while being there almost thirty five days, every meal was delightful every time. I only wish I could stay longer, thank you Pure Recovery for My Success, I am well.

I have been a recovery advocate for former professional athletes for many years . Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs.

After reading the many horrendous reviews for this CBOC, I was pretty nervous. But after seeing a community physician and being soundly disappointed, I decided to brave it anyway. What a happy surprise it was! I was treated with dignity and respect by every staff member I encountered, and although I did have to wait a fair bit for the doc (because he takes the extra time with patients, which I consider good, thank you), the place stayed open for me, and any of the staff still needed stayed as well. The only reason for knocking off a star is the difficulty in reaching the CBOC by phone and returning calls.. they are still being routed through the Greater LA VA Hospital call center, which is at least improving by not having a robot say that they are having high call volume and hanging up on you. Where do I even begin? My time at Enlight was nothing short of extraordinary. I arrived to this treatment center during one of the lowest points of my life. I was living out of my hammock on the border of Los Padres National Forest, deciding that I would exile myself from the pleasantries of having any friends or continuing to be a member of my family. After 3 months of living in the bush, I decided to go get help. In the 80 days that I was at Enlight, I started the 12 Steps, I picked up my first sponsor, and most importantly, I found myself again. After years of suffering with a clouded conscience and minimial self-confidence, the staff here helped me regain my sense of belonging and made me feel proud of who I am. Chef Carlito went from being the guy who prepared all the meals 6 days a week to being a true friend to me. Mish and Will consistently made sure that I was comfortable during my time at the facility, and also ensured that my after-care plans were the best they could offer. The entire IMS team; Chase, Charles, West, Atom, Anna, and Chris always offered their friendship and conversation no matter the time of day. The clinical staff; Yayé, Narine, Karen, Kristen, and Jen helped me examine my deficiencies that I developed while in active addiction so that I could work to rebuild, and find my true sense of self once more. Lastly, thank you to Dr. Albert and Vahe for allowing me the opportunity to show my true character under a supreme level of care. Enlight truly saved my life, and I will be forever indebted to this great organization.

A close friend of my mine was battling with years of alcohol addiction. We had taken him to multiple detox centers here in New Jersey where we live but nothing would really change in his behavior. He would maintain a few weeks of sobriety but would always end up back to the bottle. Finally we found Enlight Treatment Center after a few psychiatrists here in New Jersey had recommended we come out to california to get our friend the help that he needs. Its been about two years since he completed the program at Enlight and we never thought he would be where he is today. 2 years sober with a healthy family life. Man, cant thank Enlight enough for the work that they have done for us, my friend and his family. If youre looking for a detox facility, dont waste time looking elsewhere. Dr. Alber and Dr. Gevorkian are working magic here. God bless the work you guys do. I would recommend this program to anyone who is struggling with addiction or mental health 100/10 times

Enlight is one of the only places for detox and mental health rehabilitation that offers psychiatric care in person. They had 3 different MD psychiatrists that we meet in person and address all substance abuse and mental health needs in person as opposed to other centers that only see clients over zoom. My stay at Elevation. I was in a pretty rough place and needed to get some intensive support. I found Elevation while researching and what drew to me to them vs other places I saw was; * Private Room. I had to be honest with myself that this was something important to me, to have my own space. * Daily Individual Therapy. In addition to group having daily individual therapy to help work through things and make the most of the time there. * Electronic Devices Allowed. I have two young kids and I wanted to be able to stay in contact with family as well as use my laptop to research and view content related to what I was working through. After filling out the form on the website Stephanie the admissions director reached out right away. Before she walked me through more details about the program she checked in to make sure I was ok, I felt supported already. She helped answer all my questions as well as get the information she needed to verify insurance coverage and what I would have to pay out of pocket. She got back to me quickly again and we figured out an admission date. When I arrived in Los Angeles I was picked up at the airport and driven to their Calabasas house. I won’t go into too many details about the house, it’s pretty fantastic and there are picture on the website. I was greeted upon arrival, checked in, given a tour, and sometime to settle in my room. Everyone in the house from the cleaner, chef, coaches, therapists, and psychiatrist are supportive and genuinely interested in making you comfortable and ready for doing the personal work you need. There is a wonderful variety of therapies from individual, group, equine, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, nature walks, pool/jacuzzi, art, and music which all come at your problems from different angles and build on each other. The coaches are always available and engaged between sessions to keep the momentum going and support you. Having daily individual therapy plus two groups daily helped me dive deep into the underlying issues I was facing and my progress built on itself everyday. I felt like I was making a months progress every week. My therapist Chad was just what I needed, he was thoughtful, creative and pushed when needed to help me go further. I arrived in a very low state (not my usual self) and was able to quickly let go and unravel, the staff and my fellow patients helped put me back together and create sustainable coping techniques and strategies so I could return home a new person. Having house-mates was a wonderful experience, even though we all came from very different walks of life and reasons for coming, we found deep common ground and support with each other. We laughed, and cried, and laughed again together. The center of a house is the kitchen, and at Elevation this was no exception. Chef Jerry and Josh not only made amazing and healthy food, they were open to having us join the process and learn how to cook. We spent most of our afternoons between sessions joining in on the cooking process. Chef Jerry was like another therapist who gave us amazing life advice and was always open to listen to use when we needed a little support. Everyone at elevation from the cleaner to the coaches and the patients all eat the same food together. It felt like a big family. I felt that when I needed alone time and privacy or wanted to do something social I could move between those modalities anytime. I never felt pressure to join in anything, just welcomed. I left elevation feeling like a new person, equipped with new skills and strategies to thrive at home and at work. I highly recommend Elevation.

⭐ Hands Down the Best Mental Health Program Available. I can’t say enough good things about Elevations Behavioral Health. It’s hands down the best mental health care I’ve ever received. The setting is incredible — beautiful houses, exercise equipment, pools, jacuzzis, and so many community resources. They will take you on outings to the Pacific Ocean to watch sunsets — and yes, you *will* see dolphins! From the residential program to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), every detail is thought about and the staff are always there to help. The Santa Monica Mountains surround you, and the views are so breathtaking you can sit for hours just taking it all in, meditating, and really feel yourself start to heal. The food is amazing too — they have private chefs who customize meals to fit your diet and treatment needs, with tons of healthy options. Unlike most residential treatment programs, you get both individual and group therapy *every day*. That’s really unheard of in a residential program — usually you would receive one or two individual sessions a week The staff and therapists are absolutely amazing — they genuinely care and don’t let you give up on yourself. I cant name them all because I would forget someone. Too many to count; dedicated and MOre than experts at what they do! If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. Getting help is the best thing you can do for yourself. Elevations changed my life, and it can change yours too. You *are* worth it, and you *can* do hard things. Elevations residential mental health treatment is exceptional. Look no further if you want to receive the best residential mental health care available in the most beautiful setting. You receive daily groups and individual therapy, which is rare in residential mental health treatment in my experience. I recently received residential at Elevations in Calabasas, CA. (Nov. 2024) I felt safe and cared for. Dr. Chaudhri cares deeply about the programs and getting things right. The dedicated technicians make sure that you are always safe and your needs are met. The therapists are dedicated and exceptional in their treatment of complex mental health diagnoses (BiPolar, depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety.) The psychiatrist is one of the best I've ever had. The services I received and I encourage people to get are: EMDR, Nuerofeedback, massage, life coaching, nutrition consultation, meditation, acupuncture, and yoga. Make them part of your treatment if you can. The journey is hard work but being in such a beautiful place with highly qualified and compassionate people makes it easier. Always advocate for yourself and you will get what you need. I know no matter what I may need in the future Elevations Behavioral Health will be there. NOTE: the environment can get quite loud and bright so if you have PTSD or other sensory issues make sure to address it early with the organization or you may suffer from the sensory overload. My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Passages changed my life. It is not easy - in fact it’s really, really hard. If you’re committed to doing it the right way - you are going to wind up dealing with a lot of painful issues and hurts - and all without your substance of choice to numb the pain. But - you will be supported every step of the way. The staff is WONDERFUL and so genuinely happy for the progress you make. The other clients become your closest friends and there is nothing you can say there that will shock anyone. There is zero judgment, just support and kindness and encouragement. Even post discharge they have weekly in person and online alumni groups which are fantastic and the facilitators of those groups genuinely care. Other than becoming a mom, Passages is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m forever grateful.

I highly recommend Avalon if you are seeking treatment for either or both addiction or mental health treatment. I personally had a long struggle with addiction, depression and anxiety. The services and treatment they provided allowed me to heal in what I felt was a safe and comfortable space. All the staff from the RAs to the clinicians to the doctors and even the maids were so welcoming and I believe truly had my best interest in heart. Not only have I noticed this for myself but also with my peers who stayed at Avalon during my time as well. I have seen them treat some cases that were extremely difficult and they did so with precision and care and I was able to witness these people that on some level I thought were hopeless actual heal, get stabilized and come out the other side. Ventura recovery center is where it’s at! It taught me discipline, structure, and that I have support everywhere through A.A. acceptance is the key to recovery and one day at a time ! We had a truly positive experience with Evolve Teen Treatment in Ojai, CA for our 13/14-year-old daughter. The location is beautiful, right near downtown Ojai, and the environment felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Evolve kept her engaged every day with a full schedule of therapy and activities like hiking, surfing, yoga, working out, and healthy meals, which helped her get strong both mentally and physically. She stayed for three months the first time and two months the second time (not typical, but necessary in her case). Coming home was hard, but the setbacks were due more to outside influences than the program itself. What stood out most was the level of care and dedication from the staff and therapists. They weren’t just there for her, but for our whole family. The family sessions were incredibly helpful in teaching us how to best support her. We learned that it’s not about perfection but about progress and resilience, even when things don’t go as planned. We were in a place of deep hopelessness before finding Evolve, but the program was truly a godsend. It not only helped our daughter, but also gave us the tools to keep growing as a family. A friend recommended Evolve to us, and now we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with a teen going through hard times. We are forever grateful.

This place changed and SAVED my life. It gave me a safe space to heal and provided trustworthy caregivers, doctors and therapists to give me guidance into sobriety and emotional healing. I am 4 months and 24 days clean from drugs and alcohol and I would recommend The Pointe to everyone and anyone. Your loved one or yourself will be taken care of here and it’s so worth it. I have been to other treatment centers in my first bout of trying to get sober in 2020 and The Pointe goes above and beyond. I’m at a completely different mindset and although getting sober is hard work, I truly think The Pointe not only is a beautiful and sacred place to get sober in but every single person went above and beyond to care about me and teach me so many tools to have the open and sober mindset I have now. Cliffside is top notch. This place will meet even the pickiest of people’s needs. The staff goes above and beyond for their clients everyday. Gretchen the staff supervisor welcomed me with open arms and saw my immediate needs were met quickly and with haste. She really cares and is great at listening and offering thoughtful solutions in the moment. She really makes things happen. Pierre is the cream of the crop, he picked me up and brought me to Horizons House and calmed all my nerves on the way in. He unpacked my clothes and hung all of them in the closet and showed me around and introduced me to the other clients. The therapist I had was more like a great friend. Jill put me at ease and an instant connection was made. She is the best of the best!! I’m going to miss Cliffside very much, I owe them everything. The program was so great and the facilitators were extremely educated and welcoming. If you come across this in your search I promise this is the place to go with. You won’t find anyone as genuine and knowledgeable in this line of business. They gave me my life back and all with 5 star service and accommodations.

We are building contractors and when both of the Malibu facilities burned in the Wolsey Fire Visions team asked us to help rebuild both the facilities. Passages changed my life. It is not easy - in fact it’s really, really hard. If you’re committed to doing it the right way - you are going to wind up dealing with a lot of painful issues and hurts - and all without your substance of choice to numb the pain. But - you will be supported every step of the way. The staff is WONDERFUL and so genuinely happy for the progress you make. The other clients become your closest friends and there is nothing you can say there that will shock anyone. There is zero judgment, just support and kindness and encouragement. Even post discharge they have weekly in person and online alumni groups which are fantastic and the facilitators of those groups genuinely care. Other than becoming a mom, Passages is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m forever grateful.
