I went here briefly from 2011 - 2012 & it saved me then. I unfortunately relapsed multiple times & went in & out of inpatient rehabs for years. In 2018 I decided to give Aegis another go. I am now coming up on SIX YEARS CLEAN in October thanks to this program helping to o keep my arse in line.

There is a very diverse clientele at Pure Recovery. While the clients are mainly athletes, there are also clients that are in recovery for addiction, I being one of them. I enjoyed the group sessions, and they were very healing. My therapist, Pia, is a true gift, and I would recommend her for anyone healing from addiction. The staff was more like a family and they treated me very well. From the owner Deb to the administration, techs, and nursing staff, everybody was very accommodating to me. A shout out to the chefs, while being there almost thirty five days, every meal was delightful every time. I only wish I could stay longer, thank you Pure Recovery for My Success, I am well.

I have been a recovery advocate for former professional athletes for many years . Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs.

After reading the many horrendous reviews for this CBOC, I was pretty nervous. But after seeing a community physician and being soundly disappointed, I decided to brave it anyway. What a happy surprise it was! I was treated with dignity and respect by every staff member I encountered, and although I did have to wait a fair bit for the doc (because he takes the extra time with patients, which I consider good, thank you), the place stayed open for me, and any of the staff still needed stayed as well.
The only reason for knocking off a star is the difficulty in reaching the CBOC by phone and returning calls.. they are still being routed through the Greater LA VA Hospital call center, which is at least improving by not having a robot say that they are having high call volume and hanging up on you. Now they will offer to call you back if you choose. Still hinky, but better than a brick wall of robots!

Channel Islands rehab is absolutely outstanding. The beautiful, clean home I stayed in is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and is nestled right next to the harbor.
Starting from day one I was scheduled to meet with an MD and the staff also lined me up for meetings with a psychologist and therapist.
The friendly counselors are very knowledgeable and happily tend to your needs around the clock. Also, you will never have to worry about going hungry. This place has its very own talented chef and the cabinets are always overstocked with food and snacks.
Another plus is that yoga, paddle boarding, trips to the gym and other fun group outings are planned throughout the week.
Overall, Channel Islands Rehab would be an excellent choice for anyone looking to get back on track with a healthy, sober lifestyle. I can’t imagine spending such a difficult time in my life anywhere else.

I spent 30 days here and it was amazing. I've been to several rehabs this facility is my favorite by far. the staff is amazing and the therapist is one of a kind. the cooks food is fabulous as well. I would highly recommend channel islands rehab.

My wife and I just finished a major renovation of our home, which included construction of new garage and deck above the garage, a new roof, new doors, new siding, and new hardscape. Corky is wonderful to work with. The quality of his work is outstanding. He doesn't stand for superficial fixes; he is insistent on a complete and thorough job. He has worked with his subcontractors for years and knows who can do the job - they are also great. Corky was responsive to our requests and inquiries and handled everything with the utmost professionalism. We couldn't be more pleased with his work and highly highly recommend him. We also feel that the work was fairly priced and worth every penny.

Genesis is a great sober living! Some might complain about the rules or the structure but it’s what we need in order to get our lives on track and be successful. Sherry has clean, organized houses that are ready at all times with supplies and basic necessities for new people. If you truly want to get your life together and stay clean, Genesis is highly recommended before other sober livings. If it doesn’t work for you, try another.
