Ventura recovery center is where it’s at! It taught me discipline, structure, and that I have support everywhere through A.A. acceptance is the key to recovery and one day at a time ! I’ve been to many rehabs in the passed and this is the best one… the owner, staff and therapists go above and beyond for you and more. Treat you like family. I’m going to review the detox program and removed a star for the residential program because I found it far too overwhelming as an adjustment but I think that the structure is just to keep you busy and learn how to do hard things. The detox program is exceptional. TVs in each room. Hot water. Bath tubs. The staff is top notch, they call themselves top gun and they’ve earned it. Jade, cat, Tonia, Lindsey, Shawn, Kristy, night staff. I’m sure I’m forgetting some names. I had a court date on zoom and freaked out and cat personally sat with me for the entire 30 mins, made me a stress ball out of a towel, and held my hand. I went back here 3 times and they never judged me or made me feel weak. I kept going back because it was the place that I knew would help me. Catered food (it’s alright - hit or miss) and an endless supply of Gatorade lol. You can request certain groceries as well. The residential program includes a full day of programming, up at 630am, meetings every evening, forced gym or park after ~6 hours of programming. It’s a lot if you’re dealing with fatigue or depression like I was. The director did her best to try to accommodate me but at the end of the day I needed something more calm and I went to a place called EleMental in Thousand Oaks. Anyways, I’m always grateful to the team here.

I own a social service agency. We confidently refer patients to La Ventana for mental health and addiction disorders. The accommodations are lovely, however the focus is on the treatment. As it should be. We have had several patients that we have referred to this program who have done very well. The patients that we have referred to them have gone on to a lead a healthier, more productive life, and they are staying consistent with their recovery plan, or their mental health management plan. That is the goal: to help someone get stabilized and build a tool kit for managing their disease or disorder. What I have experienced in referring patients to them is that they are setting their patients up to be able to do these things quite successfully on their own once they leave their program. Those of us who work in social services did not get into this work to become rich, we got into this work to help people. So we often measure our own success on the ability to help a patient thrive. We are grateful that we work with La Ventana because they absolutely help our patients Thrive!

I was diagnosed with PTSD and upon recommendation from my Doctor, found my way over to this wonderful place. The clinical staff, both their kindness and their knowledge, was extremely impressive. The facility itself was really clean, really calming, a very tranquil place overall. I spent about 4 months in their day program and would do it again in a heartbeat. Wildwood is Definitely Top Tier in Recovery! The Staff is excellent, the activities range from Meditation, Breath Work, Equine Therapy, Personal and Group Therapy, Music Therapy, Book Study etc.... Outside activities every Friday such as Movies, Bowling, Shopping. Doctor's in Person Individual Visits. Spacious living quarters with a 6 person limit. I would Highly Recommend Wildwood Recovery for anyone who has a issue with Alcoholism or Addiction.

Eamon and his team have proven to be reliable, available, knowledgeable and effective in their treatment approach with our 20 year old son. Laurie Singer, came to our house about 2 years ago and spoke to our son and set up a plan for him. There are very few people in life who truly believe in you when you’ve completely lost belief in yourself. For me, one of those people has always been Ron and the entire team at Rise in Malibu. His leadership and heart are reflected throughout the entire program and staff. Dr. Mark, Sheri, and everyone at Rise create an environment that is compassionate, professional, supportive, and deeply human. They don’t treat people like problems to fix they treat them like people worth fighting for. That distinction matters more than words can explain. What makes Rise special is that it never felt transactional to me. It felt personal. Real care, real connection, real support, and people who continue to stay connected long after treatment ends. That says everything. And for me personally, recovery wasn’t something that necessarily “landed” the very first time. Sometimes the spiritual experience happens when it’s truly ready to happen. What I can say today, sitting here over 16 months sober, is that Rise helped give me the tools, foundation, support, and perspective that allowed that change to finally take root in a real way. When the moment came, I knew how to move forward because of what I had learned there. That’s something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life! Going to Rise was the best decision of my life. Allison was a godsend to me at a dark point in my life and was able to get me into Rise’s treatment program with short notice. The team there is unparalleled. I wish I could name everyone that were members of my treatment team at Rise, but a few shoutouts to Nam for driving my sad sack self to Rise, baking amazing bread, and being an amazing support from Day 1, Shari & Zach from nursing for the care, fun, pep talks, and compassion, Dr Mark for his wisdom and pragmatic approach that I really resonated with, and numerous others (the chefs are next-level good, Tessa, Luke, Saber, Destiny, Cesar, Cat, Michael, Terry, Adrian, etc). Outside of the fantastic staff, I’ll add that the house is gorgeous, the groups are varied and enriching, there’s a good balance between free time & groups, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and they do a great job of ensuring that you have access to outside appointments - for example, I was able to go to Passover services while at Rise without having to go through a lot of hoops/bureaucracy. The amenities are fun and obviously appreciated, but the heart of this place is really why I would recommend it to a loved one or friend in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Rise team!!!

This facility is life changing, I did an initial 30 days in detox as well as 21 days in outpatient. I’ve never felt so confident in my recovery and it’s thanks to the family I made here. These people aren’t just my friends anymore they’re so much more than that and that goes for my peers as well as the staff. The staff genuinely care about you and will form a connection with you if you’re willing to let them in. I hadn’t been sober for more than 30 days since I was 11 I’m now heading towards 60 days of sobriety and I’ve never felt better. It feels like I’ve come back to life, their classes are intriguing and fun they always keep you occupied and invested. A special thank you to the counselors Dave, Hepzibeth, Jason, Sara, Silvia & Ariel. As well as all the staff I love you guys and I’m gonna miss yall!

If you are nervous, hesitant, conflicted about getting help or helping a loved one get help, there isn’t a more warm-welcoming & safe place to be. All catagories you can possibly think of that would make a treatment center perfect, is exactly what Enlight Treatment Center is. I came immediately after being at another treatment center & I was terrified. When I made calls to get in somewhere, the person who answered was more concerned with my well-being than my wallet. My first day there, I was crying & I remember sitting with a counselor, Kristin, who I asked if everyone who worked there really cared & she along with every single staff member there proved just how much they cared. In fact, they really all went above and beyond to help every individuals needs in recovery. When I was near the end of my stay I was certain I was going back home right away. They helped me feel safe to try out sober living and it completely changed my life. Remember, employees are replaceable, if you’re worried about “needing to get back to work,” things will work itself out, trust the process & the staff. They have the purest hearts. I’m forever grateful for every single one of them.

I’ve have referred many people to Enlight for detox and residential as well as for mental health treatment, and let me tell you, lives are being changed lives are being saved. I’ve been working as a recovery coach for almost 15 years, worked with many different treatment centers, none of them are like Enlight. I’ve had client sent to Enlight from all walks of life; rich poor employed unemployed, people who worked to unions and blue collar men to lawyers and nurses… this is the only place I trust to be able to take care of my folks in addiction. I trust them for many reasons but mainly because they have 3 doctors on site who will see you in person as opposed to other centers who have one doctor who will see you on zoom (if ever). The team at Enlight is as experienced as it gets, most of the staff themselves have been through addiction and really treat this job as a passion. I have sent over 100 people to Enlight for detox from alcohol, Xanax, ketamine, Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Marijuana, Whippets, Adderall, Methamphetamine… you name it. Many of these people were dual diagnosis, meaning they had both mental health issues and addiction. Most of my clients that I’ve sent to Enlight are sober now! Enlight really knows how to Safely medically, detox, and set up the foundation for future success in sobriety. Love you guys. Shout out to Chef Carlo, homie is a wizard when it comes to making food. I had the privilege of coming here for detox and couldn't be more appreciative of the staff and accommodations here. I stayed for 2 weeks and was constantly catered to by all of the staff. Truly a 5 star experience while going through the worst time of my life. The people here truly treat you like their own family. I don't know how they manage to deal with several emotional people all day every day and still manage to give everybody specialized individual attention but they do. I came in there like a wrecking ball and they still took great care of me. Even the chefs cater to everybody's personal needs. I'll be 200 days sober in 2 days and probably wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this place. A very delayed review, but anybody questioning if they should stay here or not should have no question about it and choose Maple Moon for their recovery.

The admissions coordinator, Nick, was incredibly kind. My friend was experiencing serious withdrawals, and even though her insurance isn’t contracted because it’s Medi-Cal, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely took the time to listen and care. Novo detox was a great experience. I came in a broken person. I'm leaving with hope and am forever greatful. At a new lease on life. The staff is outstanding. The groups are very educational and fulfilling. I suggest anyone who's struggling with the disease of addiction or alcoholism to give them a call. They care for you when you don't.

I felt at home quick. The staff are awesome, made a lot of long term friends, I felt safe through a rough detox, and feel I can hit the ground running on sobriety.

My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Our daughter had been prescribed a strong medication after she was hurt during gymnastics practice. We never expected it to lead to an addiction. We’re so grateful to the staff of Beachside for helping her when we could not.
