I want to share the wonderful experience my 85 year old mom (Maya Malek) recently had at Henry Mayo hospital in Santa Clarita. I don’t often write reviews but from the moment we arrived at the ER on Friday (8/29) till she was released on Sunday (8/31) she was handled with respect and received the best care. All the staff in the ER (Brianna and team) and Dr. Sakar, were caring, professional and very efficient. Dr. Sakar made sure she got all the necessary tests to ensure they would be giving her the right procedures. They also kept us informed of every test and diagnosis. When she was finally admitted that evening she was cared for by the excellent night staff (Michelle Andres and Randy) who were so caring and kind. They stayed on top of her every need throughout the night. Next day, Dr. Bayati and day staff (Sam, Reyna and all) continued the professional care she needed. For two days and nights she had the best care possible and we are thankful to everyone who brought my mom back to health.

Henry mayo hospital is the greatest place to work and to be a patient, very clean hospital, staff is kind and attentive.

Emergency Room - 1 star ⭐️ The doctor or nurse sent my prescription to Walmart instead of Walgreens and when I called to ask for help the nurse (John,he said) refused to help me. He told me once they send the medication in they can’t change it, which I know to be completely false. When I asked him how long he’d been working there he got very offensive and emotional and told me I was being verbally abusive. I asked him why he thinks that & he hung up on me. After that I tried calling back several times to get through and each time I called he hung up on me. I was just trying to get my meds, & the nurse you hired to help people did everything BUT help, he had zero professionalism & zero empathy. I didn’t end up getting my meds & no one helped me. I called again later and he said his name was JOSH this time. Completely & inconceivably deplorable ER staff. Actually, no, everyone else was kind and helpful, besides the pharmacy mistake, but this JOSH or JOHN in the emergency room department was absolutely horrid & shouldn’t be there. I was there 3/4/22 and called around 9 pm. Hospital Stay - 5 Stars ⭐️ My mother had to spend a week in the hospital and she was treated very well. I am very happy with the hospital staff, they were friendly, hard working, and empathetic people and I’m grateful my mom had such good care. Hospital is clean, bedding is clean, and it feels so much more comfortable than other hospitals. Thank you Dr. Tabassomi for your care, and thank you to ALL the nurses who are the backbone of the medical community, you guys are truly amazing.

I went to the Detox and PHP IOP I ended up Becoming a tech and working in detoxes, this place literally gave me the fundamentals the tools and inspired me in a direction to do nothing but better myself and create the destiny I want. I’m so proud that I can call myself an alumni.

Journey hillside is an amazing place. The staff is highly skilled in their modalities of recovery and lead with their hearts. I felt empowered and believed in, and I’m leaving with all the tools I need to be successful in my sobriety.

I late 1999, after many unsuccessful treatment stays in other facilities, I walked through the front door at Promises, Malibu a very sick and hopeless man, but I left a new person. The clinicians, techs and administrators were courteous, helpful and empathetic from my first day. Therefore, for their helping hands I will always be thankful!

After 8 years almost clean and sober, Promises is still like a second home to me when I go to visit. I will always be so grateful for the amazing care I received there. They have a great Alumni program that enables people to stay connected. I have made lifelong friends through my stays at " the rock".

My experience at promises was one i will never forget. I have tried to get clean and sober many times before and never have i entered a program as educational and supportive as promises. I was able to surround myself with loving caring staff members that walked me through detox comfortably and were there 24 hours a day for the following process of uncovering and dealing with the underlying issues that helped fuel my disease. i was able to attend twelve step meetings daily and begin meeting and getting to know people in the program in several different areas of los angeles and malibu. The facility was top notch and staff was more than accommodating to each individuals' needs. I enjoyed the different educational groups along with the intense personal and family work that was done at my pace. I appreciated their ability to create a program unique to mine and my families needs. i experienced treatment in a different way than i ever had before. I am grateful for the opportunity to receive the tools necessary to not only maintain sobriety but to live a life happier than i ever thought possible. After finishing my time in the first phase of residential i decided to stay for extended care program which was a great transition tool for me with the continued support of the facility and staff. Before leaving treatment my treatment team helped me put together a detailed discharge plan that helped me transition back into the world with ease. They helped me find different places to live, different doctors to see, and all of my daily plans were set before i even stepped out the gate. I appreciate all of the time dedicated by each and every person i came into contact with. I know i cant do this alone and Promises makes sure that i never have to ever again. They have shown me a new way to live clean and sober. I would send anyone i love and care about to promises because i know that they would be well taken care of and given the tools and opportunities necessary to save their lives. I can now walk through life a different way and for that i am eternally grateful.
