They made me feel safe and welcome as soon as I pulled up to the residence. The housing was clean and very comfortable. The food was very delicious and prepared by a well known chef. 5 star restaurant quality, and they were very accommodating to my special diet. The staff were my favorite I feel I made a special bond with each one of them and they were very compassionate and supportive while still being very professional. I've been too a few treatment facilities and this one by far has given me the best treatment. They helped me create the foundation for my recovery and I'm still clean to this day. Love you guys!! I was on a very bad path, and I was about to lose everything that I truly cared about and loved in my life. That being said, I still did not want to go. On the drive there I was very scared about what I thought it was going to be like. I had never been to rehab or detox before. When I walked through the door, I was immediately struck by how nice it was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. They really cared about the people that were there to get help. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The place is very nice and has a relaxing atmosphere. The food was awesome. They have a gourmet chef, and on his days off, there were plenty of staff that knew how to cook and grill really well. I loved the group meetings and the 1 on 1 counseling sessions. They provided me with insight and honesty within myself about my situation. I learned things about myself that I never realized before. They did these things without me ever feeling judged or bad about the choices I made. The staff truly cared about my health and about my well-being, and I mean all the staff, no matter what their job title was. I could not imagine a better place to get help. The rooms were very comfortable, and if there was something you needed help with, they were very accommodating. There was no shortage of things to do on our downtime. We were also able to have outings off site, and they let us vote on what we wanted to do. We had trips to the beach, movies and a nice pool. I could keep going on and on about how wonderful of an experience this place was, while also helping me to work through my issues at the same time. But this place and the classes they offer here are part of that process, and the people that work here are nothing but friendly and professional, and will help you get through the court ordered classes without any problems. While they don't play around when you don't follow the rules of the program, they are indeed fair and professional when you treat them with respect and understanding and keep your program in good standings. Remember these programs answer to the Los Angeles courts and are indeed audited, so they honestly can't just let it go when you are in violation of the terms of the program. I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment and it's employees, and how I was treated there. I know these programs are not cheap and they cost more when you miss classes, and are a giant pain to everyone...but all things considered it was not difficult getting through the 18 month program, and I would like to thank the people that work there for being professional and courteous to me even when I screwed up my attendance. We did a lot of outdoor activities including disc golf , pickleball and the golf driving range. Also went to see many movies at AMC topanga. I was 17 when I went to hillcrest treatment facility and heavily addicted to substances. As soon as I stepped inside I was welcome in with open arms. We had fresh meals made daily, fitness, and as well as other activities to get my natural dopamine back up, I made lifelong friendships and lifelong heart touching memories. It was the best time of my life and I stayed sober ever since then and I am 20 now, I bought my own car and I will be moving out into my own apartment soon. The caregivers and therapists and everyone involved was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I wasn’t able to keep in contact with them due to rules but I think about the caregivers, therapists and my experience that I had there every single day, it was so touching that every day I strive to do better because I think about all the people that helped me at hillcrest, eventually if possible I would even like to get a job there to help kids like I was helped. It was the most amazing heart warming experience I’ve had in my entire life and I would recommend this place a million times to anyone.
