The staff were so helpful and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome and I'm very grateful for the help I received. If you need detox I highly recommend this facility.

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Outpatient

So I went here almost 2 years ago and I was there for 11 days. After 11 days they said my insurance wasn’t paying the benefits needed for me to stay there and that they were transferring me to another detox. (Which didn’t make sense since the other place ended up billing for the same type of benefits that were this place said I did not have/ my insurance wasn’t paying out) Back then I was struggling bad to stay sober even for a day and so it was disheartening to hear they wouldn’t keep me. So I left and went to a hotel for the night where The next day I proceeded to go to the placethey wanted to refer me to. Well fast forward to yesterday and today. I was referred to this program by a good friend that I actually met at that other program where they wanted to refer me to. At first I didn’t recognize it was that program when I was doing my pre assessment, but after the admission girl explained the layout, I remembered that I had been there and she confirmed it. They told me I was accepted and they would send a driver whenever I was ready. Well I still had to pack all of kb stuff, which is a lot btw and by the time I was done it was almost midnight and decided to wait till the next morning. Well I woke up late and when I did, I called her and she let me know I was going to be picked up at 3 by one of their drivers and to send my address. I sent it and then heard nothing back when. Finally after sending multiple texts and calling her multiple times she answers to tell me that clinical saw who I was and said they were no longer going to accept me. When I asked why, she said she didn’t even know. I then asked if I could speak with who made the decision. Well that lady (Lindsey the program director) called me and asked why I needed to speak with her. When I asked why I wasn’t allowed there she said it was because I left after 11 days and went to a hotel. When I reminded her that it was then who wouldn’t take my insurance anymore and they were trying to transfer me, she said that it wasn’t in her “notes” from a year ago and that I was thinking of the wrong place (I wasn’t), I told her I wasn’t and that it was 2 years ago where she sat there and argued with me on how it was one and right there in her nites it said January of 2021 (it’s December 2022 btw). Then once I pointed out how time and years work, she said that she thinks it wouldn’t be a good fit because of mh mental problems and that it was just a 2 day relapse. I’m an addict with the basic depression and anxiety and PTSD and was actually out for almost a month, so again her notes were wrong. I truly believed I was judged wrongfully based on a resentment made by Lindsey herself and think it’s wrong to tell someone for almost 24 hours they are accepted and then when it was time for me to come, tell me they wouldn’t take me. Because what if I had come the the prior night? Would they have given me the boot wrongfully again? Would not recommend. Highly suggest finding other treatments places where the staff actually practice principle before personalities and principles of recovery.

Before coming to fresh start I was spiritually broken mentally and emotionally withdrawn and full of fear. Upon my arrival I was treated so kindly and welcome by amazing people who to my surprise had been just like me. They were now better and offered me hope! During my stay I was introduced back into alcoholics anonymous and self-help galore. Every weekend the staff went above and beyond to take us out and show us the beautiful California that I had never experienced! As I come up on 6 months of sobriety I now have my family back in my life! A marriage that one could only dream about! I have an amazing job where I work in treatment and I now get to help people who are just like me!!!! I sincerely owe all this beauty and restoration in my life to the amazing staff at Fresh Start Of California!! I love this detox and I would recommend it to anyone who's suffering and hurting because this is a fresh place to start over Freedom awaits you !!

This place Is magical the staff all truly cares and go above and beyond for the clients. The facilities are clean and feel like home. All the staff treat you like family and make you feel so welcome. I highly recommend this place for anyone in need of getting help.

There's something truly special about this place... Whether it be the staff that truly cares about the broken people that walk through these doors or the incredible level of care that you receive while here... In a small corner in Santa Ana California you wouldn't expect so much love to be found. But there it is and it's followed by hope and a chance to make things different... I said some awful things to the head of staff the last time I was there and the regret has built up inside... The truth is I love every staff member there and I'll be celebrating a year clean come November 1st... Anyone that comes to these doors is lucky to find a home away from home to repair their broken life. To all the staff there and one in particular... I love you guys... You saw me at my worst... I really enjoyed the experience I had at fresh start the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The yoga and music groups were my favorite. The outings were always something to look forward to especially the trip to knotts amusement park and the whale watching both were some of the highlights of my time there. The food was great. The fact that the take you to the gym was also really cool. All in all I would highly recommend Fsc to anyone that is in need of help they did a great job of accommodating my needs while also pushing me to get out of my comfort zone. 10/10.

The staff at Fresh Start helped my son detox from drugs and aided in finding him a place to go to after discharge so that he could continue with his recovery. I was always updated on his progress and felt very comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Patrick is one of the staff members there and he was very instrumental in helping my son get into detox to get the help he desperately needed. Even though my son is no longer at Fresh Start, Patrick continues to assist my son with his recovery and keeps me updated. It was and is very comforting to have someone who is invested in my son because I live in a different state. I will always be extremely grateful to Fresh Start for everything they have done to help my son get his life back.
