Accepted Insurance

NUMA – Los Angeles Detox and Rehab works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab's clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

Inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction with a focus on mental health is a good fit for people who need closer monitoring and care. Treatment may occur in a hospital setting, a clinic, or a luxury rehab center. Mental health counselors and staff are available 24/7. Therapies typically include group and individual counseling, relapse prevention education, and emotional coping skills training.

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

California's mental health and substance abuse rehabs provide dual-diagnosis treatment options for individuals looking to address co-occurring disorders. These programs are usually offered on either an inpatient or outpatient basis. You can usually expect a mental health assessment and personalized treatment plan, evidence-based therapies, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential therapies like equine therapy, skills groups, and counseling to simultaneously address both mental health and substance abuse and drastically increase your chances of long-term sobriety.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Going to Numa was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I came in struggling with both addiction and mental health challenges, and from the very beginning, I was met with compassion, understanding, and zero judgment. The staff at Numa truly care—they go out of their way to make sure every client feels seen, heard, and supported. They don’t just treat you like a number; they treat you like a human being. The environment itself is really special—peaceful, uplifting, and honestly just a great place to heal. The support groups were amazing, filled with people who were willing to open up and grow together. There’s something powerful about knowing you’re not alone, and Numa makes sure you always feel that. What really stood out to me was how much effort the staff puts into accommodating each person’s individual needs and goals. Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, and they get that. If you’re looking for a place to truly start over with people who care, this is it. I’ll always be grateful for my time there.

I’ve been to four drug/ alcohol rehabs and have also worked at three different drug/ alcohol treatment centers as a behavioral health technician. Attending Numa Recovery this past January/ February, I had such a pleasant experience as a patient/ client. The staff was beyond helpful, friendly, and entirely consistent. From the owner, doctor, therapist, case manager, out reach coordinator, techs, and nurse every single employee at Numa showed true compassion and kindness. Getting sober this time around was beyond difficult. Facing some serious legal issues, family/ relationship drama, and prior-over prescribed unnecessary medications. The staff helped me with everything. They really went above and beyond. I am ever so grateful for Numa recovery, they really mean the world to me. It’s such a breath of fresh air to have experienced a rehab with people that have such big hearts.

I cannot recommend this treatment center enough! I have been to many treatment centers and this was by far the best. I came in broken, and through help with the clinical staff, my peers, and group I left feeling confident and happy. The staff here is truly amazing and does such a good job. They actually care. It’s also a beautiful place and I felt super comfortable the whole time! They helped me so much.

Numa has been an incredible resource for our LGBTQ clients who needed extra support to begin their recovery journey. Adam and his team have gone above and beyond, providing compassionate, personalized care that truly makes a difference. It's rare to find a facility that combines professionalism with genuine care for their clients, but Numa Detox excels in both. We’ve witnessed firsthand how their commitment to helping people heal has transformed lives. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and completely dedicated to supporting clients every step of the way. Five stars all around to Adam and the amazing team at Numa Detox for their outstanding work! Thank you for everything you do!
