About Avamere Rehabilitation of Cascade Park

Cascade Park Care Center is now Avamere Rehabilitation of Cascade Park, where they provide rehabilitation services and skilled nursing in Vancouver, Washington. The staff fosters a culture of trust and fun, which, alongside their excellent care, has earned them a five star staff rating through Medicare.

Vancouver is a rapidly growing area on the North Bank of the Columbia River, directly across from Portland, Oregon. It was founded in 1825 and features a walkable downtown area with newly developed waterfront restaurants and parks.

Primary Physical Rehabilitation for Pain Management

Avamere doesn’t provide a structured substance use disorder treatment program and are primarily a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. However, they do offer supportive services for individuals in recovery or who have completed their primary addiction rehab and require pain management and physical rehabilitation that recognizes their needs and prevents relapse.

The physical rehabilitation program recognizes the necessity for pain management while acknowledging the risk of relapse or triggering substance use disorders. After a long term illness or injury that requires physical rehabilitation, clients may need pain management. Aging individuals or those who have recently suffered a cardiac event may also experience anxiety and depression that can lead to self-medication.

Specialized & Personalized Treatment

Staffers offer special programs that are tailored to your needs, including personalized and Compassionate Care utilizing medical and nursing staff. You receive a regular wellness check and have access to additional services, including dental care, optometry and salon services.

Alongside treatment that addresses neurological conditions, orthopedic recovery, cardiac rehabilitation or amputee rehabilitation, Avamere offers various therapeutic modalities that address pain without opioid or other drug use.

The facility also provides chaplain services and offers pet visits and musical performances with other activities to support overall mental health. The team works with most private insurance providers, Medicaid and Medicare.

I have been at Avamere for a long time. Thank you for all the help, love and attention I received here. I know that there were some ups and downs but overall the majority of my time was great. I want to say to anyone considering staying here or sending your family memeber here you will find the kind help that I did. Staff treated me like family and made it feel like a home versus just a place I was staying. I will always remember the games and good times we had together. I hope that god blesses all who work here and that you recieve the same love and kindness you gave to me. I will truly miss all of you. In friendship Earl Espinoza

CNA Darius/ Kathleen, Nurse Sarah Bowen, and other nurses did an amazing job taking care of my husband in room 312-2. I would hire them to care for my husband if I have a chance…👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thank you and keep it up giving cares to others that need help. Bless you all!!! But other then what been said this rehab, Case manager and social worker need to step up to pay more attention who they hire to come work in this facility. They are paying to give care for the patients that are there. Which I did made a complaint on Whoever the nurse that draws my husband blood last week on the second or third day he got admitted, you really hurt him and use fishing techniques which it’s not okay. That’s how can cause hematoma and bruise damages to the veins. After you been told by my husband please don’t do that and you still hurt him but you kind a mad and continuing drawing his blood after you got the veins for good amount of blood you drawn from his hand, you held his arm and pressed really hard on his hand. My husband was saying to you it hurt and all you said oh sorry. She knew what she was doing and walk away, that is not appropriate and not professional. That was not okay and hopefully she doesn’t do the same on all the patients. FYI my husband doesn’t speak English and understands enough on some English words but he understands everything

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I’ve worked here for 10 years this year and honestly I couldn’t see working anywhere else. Most of my coworkers have been there 10years plus along with me. We truly care and treat our patients like we would our family members. I know there are a few bad apples in every bunch but overall I’m so proud of it. Our new administrator is great and is in the process of getting us remodeled and updated so the look of the facility matches the fantastic care that is given.
