I had my first experience and intake with Kimberlee and Shannon and Jewel the horse. It was great. Jewel was in a pasture/barn she hasn't been in before so she was a little distracted by the new dry grass to eat but it's ok. I get it and it's not Jewels fault and it was the intake session. I still got to interact with her and Kimberlee and Shannon were fantastic. I already have a psychologist I see monthly since my TBI, but this is different with the horses and a new therapist and I don't mind adding tools to my toolbox to help me be my beat self and I grew up around horse and had one as a kid so this is great for me! I appreciate Kimberlee and Shannon's experience and I loved learning that Shannon get me as she too is a TBI survivor so that felt good and right, made Forward Stride feel like that much better of an experience. One session down and can't wait for many more!

I have been to every clinic in Portland and this clinic is by far the best one the only problem is that corporate will not pay the nurses enough so they can't get anybody to work there there is so many people going to this clinic that they should be making piles of money I suspect that corporate in Florida is taking all the profits and not investing back in the clinic that's making them more money then any of there other clinics anywhere and it's not fair to the clients because they have to spend sometimes 5 hours to get there meds. I know I have had to go to the clinic 4 days I'm a row to finly get my 27 take outs they will only have one nurse to fill everyone's meds for the whole day because all the other nurses go on vacation at the same time and the clinic has no sense to call a temp agency for situations like this they just let us all suffer the whole day to get out meds as soon as they fix this. Well the service has gotten much better as long as they keep enough staff on it's the best clinic in the Portland metro area I have gone to 5 or them so far each with there own problems I don't want to have to wait in huge lines but a promise is a promise and I'm a honest person I want to believe . They have hi Ed more nurses so it has been much better experience to go there and it's the only clinic that I don't dread going to new season is more respectful as long as you stay respectful you will not have a problem remember they deal with probably close to a thousand people a day sometimes it just depends on how many of us M27 are here at the same time because it takes us a good 15 minutes to see the nurse and they have been working all morning and it gets donting doing the same thing all day and then dealing with us try to take your problems to your counselor first because when everyone is irritated it's hard to get along and as long as everyone trys to get along and stay calm the smother things go and the days that are bad you just have to deal with it laitly there it's been smooth I'm I'm and out in less then 30 minutes most time and that is a blessing I have been other places I will not mention them there not worth it I have spent 8 hours a day in them for weeks on end when I was just starting out it was a nightmare but it's never been that bad here over Christmas was tuff but it's back to normal again thank God if you are having problems with fetty please come here and get help I have lost so many people I loved to that crap and I love opiates don't tell anyone lol but fentanyl is not a opiat it's poison made in buckets is sewers I'm not joking and it is just imatating opiats anyway and killing you at the same time please come get help it goes away you just have to give it a chance and save your mom and dad and brothers and sisters and your friends from the heartache that they will go through when they loose you it's just a matter of time it will happen unless you do something about it so think about your children and everyone that cares about you I care about you and I don't know you yet and hope to do so some day and not read about you in the paper in some story about tragedy ok please come be calm and you will get help thank you for reading my review I spend alot of time doing them when it matters and they have changed this place for the better so if you have been before come back it's better do it for all of us to ok later

I wanted to like this place and tried my best to be engaged in recovery. However, this facility is NOT accommodating to people who suffer with clinical depression. First off, what the other reviewers say about people bringing in contraband is true: You will see people actively using while you're supposed to be in a safe recovery space. Second, it is also true what they say that there is no mental health treatment what-so-ever. I had x2 1-hr visits the entire time. That's it - and I had more visits than most people. Their "individual counseling" is a complete check-box so they can say they offer it as a service. You MIGHT get a single 1 hour visit. You might not. I had met other patients that hadn't had a single visit their entire stay. When I got there I had a few days of my antidepressants left (an SSRI & Wellbutrin), and warned staff of this every day for the first week so that my medication would not be disrupted. My mental health was stable on this medication aside from the addiction I had to psychedelics. What they did was intentionally withdraw me off this medication the first few days. Cold turkey. Then when I restarted it and ran out they said they would order more. They never ordered more. So I ended up being forced off of my antidepressants cold turkey, and predictably, that spun my mental health dangerously out of control. By the 3rd week in I was fantasizing about hanging myself in the bathroom nearly all day every day, and couldn't focus at all on anything related to recovery. I told the staff this and their response was simply "have you seen Dr. Rose yet" which I hadn't. I never saw a doctor at all the entire time by that point, just nurses. This facility doesn't actually have medical staff available like other posters had warned about, and I saw several seizures occur during my time there. When I brought it up to the staff how awful I was feeling, that I was having suicidal thoughts, and that I wanted to get back on the antidepressants, their response was to just keep emailing other staff members with no follow through to ensure I could restart my medication. I ended up leaving 2 days early for my safety because I went from actively thinking about suicide to having actively attempted it in secret, but I was unintentionally disrupted by the cleaning staff. So be aware that if you take antidepressants to manage severe depression, that they will cut you off of them while you're stuck in there. And that you will not get individual counseling they say is available to address the issues that led you to use in the first place. I felt pretty horrible leaving early: like I had failed, it was all for nothing, and I wasted my money. Leaving was very unceremonious and I was just dumped back out onto the street back into my life, sober, but with significantly worse mental health that I'm still trying desperately to stabilize almost two months later. They really need to educate the staff on the dangers of stopping SSRIs cold turkey. It is almost guaranteed to make most people suicidal, which is why it contains a black label warning by the FDA on it. I'd really hoped I could have gotten a life changing experience and that things would start looking up for me and improving, and I could begin healing and being myself again. I was so wrong. Also it is not a safe or welcoming place for LGBT identifying people. Just full-stop do not go here if you're LGBT. Seek an alternative facility. If you don't, then don't say I didn't warn you. It is not a friendly, safe, or welcoming environment for LGBT persons.

I’ve been sober for 429 days so far. Crestview changed my life. Also, the food is amazing in residential, PHP is an amazing program, and the support you receive throughout the whole thing is amazing. They helped me so much with getting sober and building the skills to maintain my sobriety when I got out. Now I have everything I want in life because of a phone call I made to a rehab facility when I was strung out. Will forever recommend crestview to anyone that is at the end of their rope in addiction. It’s definitely not a cure all and you have to take it serious. But if you do want to take it serious and get sober, they are definitely an amazing place to help start.

If you have values and beliefs that no longer serve you or are holding you back this is the place that can undo those for you. If you have addictions and mental health issues that you need to educate yourself about, and need help healing from this is a great place to go. People here care about you. It’s safe. You will make great connections. You will learn. You will heal. The door is open if you want to step in and get help all you have to do is ask at Crestview and they will provide you with a great PHP program. I was supported, given resources, and challenged and I’m better off for it. Thank you wholeheartedly to everyone there who was apart of my journey.

This place saved me. At first arrival, I was sketched out for sure. I was about to leave when two of the staff, Scott and John spoke with me and put me at enough ease to check in to the detox facility. I had so much trepidation but once I was in, I was so happy I stayed. Each and every one of the staff is amazing! From the nurses who are awesome(Boo especially), the BHT’s who genuinely care and go above and beyond to bring as much comfort as possible during my stay, to the therapists and medical clinicians, all were a huge part of my recovery. Even the C level, Bethany was present and available when needed. The food was great and regularly improving. The beds were comfortable, rooms are basic but everything that is needed. The room I was in had a Roku tv so I was fortunate but from what I heard every room will be getting one which is nice to be able to be able to secluded myself when I wanted and just zone out to shows to pass time. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this facility for any detox needs. -CDK

To anyone considering coming here for treatment - do it. The other reviews posted during COVID are not representative of how the facility is now (not to mention they have never put anyone into "quarantine," it's not even that kind of facility). I was disappointed that I didn’t get to finish this program but was incredibly grateful for the time I spent here. I unfortunately needed a higher level of care than PHP but the month I was at this location was spent in kind and caring arms. My team truly wanted the best for me every single minute of being there (whether my ed liked it or not) and these clinicians immediately met me where I was at. The staff were all incredible and so were the other clients. A major shoutout to the BEST dietician Sam, Paige for being on my side, and so many other lovely people that stood by me. This place is wonderful and I hope anyone looking for help comes here:)

My grandmother has been in this place for quite awhile after she fell and broke her hip. The staff are great and have answered all of our questions. Their CNAs have been really caring and seem to like who they are working with quite a bit which is good to see. They recently updated the lobby and dining room which look so good. It really gives it a nice feel when you first walk in. She loves being able to do down for meals and visit with people. I’m not sure about the bad reviews on here so I took some pictures to really show people how nice it is because we have had nothing but a positive experience. I will say the only thing I think they could improve on is getting rid of the carpet as it looks like the the housekeepers work so hard on it and I couldn’t imagine how hard it is to keep up with it. Other than that we have been impressed. The food is great and we often get a guest tray so we can eat with her. She really enjoys being outside in the court yards they have a visit.
