About Lifeline Connections Vancouver VA Campus Office

Lifeline Connections- Vancouver is a substance use disorder treatment center and dual diagnosis treatment center located in Vancouver, Oregon. They use evidence based addiction treatment approaches and therapeutic interventions that target the whole person mind, body, and spirit.

Lifeline Connections- Vancouver offers residential treatment services for men, outpatient treatment, and dual diagnosis treatment.

Lifeline Connections- Vancouver location provides men’s residential treatment. This program is for those who need a high level of support with 24 hour staffing at the beginning phase of recovery. This program serves 44 men at a time and allows them to stay up to 90 days to increase their chance of success and reduce the likelihood of relapse upon leaving treatment. Individual therapy, group therapy, and educational classes are provided.

Recovery residence provides gender specific living accommodations for those in recovery from substance use disorder. The housing is based on a month to month lease at an affordable rate to assist as many people as possible. Management of the environment is conducted by a house lead who is overseen by Lifeline Connections staff.

The outpatient programming at Lifeline Connections is for those who do not need the highly structured environment of inpatient treatment. The services provided during outpatient are individual therapy, group therapy, and educational classes on addiction and recovery. Medications may be managed for those who need them, and trauma support may also be offered. The goal is to continue to move toward a life of recovery and a suitable aftercare treatment plan that allows for reintegration back into society.

Dual Diagnosis, often referred to as having co-occurring disorders, is when two or more mental health concerns present themselves simultaneously. It is very common for those who struggle with addiction to also have an underlying mental health concern such as anxiety, depression, or a diagnosable psychiatric disorder. Without proper treatment of the mental health issue at hand, getting and staying sober can be difficult. By treating both the substance use disorder and the mental health needs concurrently, a greater chance for long term sobriety is achieved.

My counselor wouldn't listen to me about anything and when she did here me get upset it was my addict thinking. I needed to graduate on a certan date so I had a ride home and to get iop set up and cause it was inconvenient it was a no. When I was trying to coordinate a ride home she came out yelling. I wish I could say I had a good experience. No cigarette breaks. You were allowed a nicotine lossenges every couple hours no more and no less, and they had to be prescribed and controlled. We always had to be on time but the program didn't. Didn't get to keep in good touch with my wife for DHS, and Instead of doing anything about people ruining things they just took it away. windows bolted shut. Recycled air. Rarely went outside. That's all I'm gonna say. Thank you.

I did like that they went beyond the call of duty and reached out to my councilor when asked because the report I needed was the only thing that was keeping me on my probation. I did not like that it took so long for my counselor to communicate with my probation officer because I was enrolled in drug treatment in July and nothing was communicated till, I was almost done and had to initiate that communication and I also had to fill out another ROI out when I had already filed one out 12 weeks prior from the start of my treatment . I would like to change the fact that no one reached out to me during the time of my drug treatment. I did have one face to face meeting when I was in drug treatment.

Accepted Insurance

Lifeline Connections Vancouver VA Campus Office works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient treatment includes individual and group therapy sessions; the intensity of sessions depends on the individual’s needs from weekly to monthly meetings. Individuals who have completed our inpatient programs are encouraged to continue treatment in an outpatient setting. During sessions patients are educated on relapse prevention and coping skills amongst many other tools to help adjust and continue a substance free lifestyle. The goal of this program is to help patients achieve and maintain sobriety, and reintegrate into their communities
inpatient iconInpatient
Lifeline Connections residential program provides an intimate setting for substance use treatment. Individuals are able to focus solely on their treatment and recovery as they live on site. They will work with their counselor one-on-one and in group sessions.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients as they focus on maintaining their sobriety after intensive (often inpatient) treatment. These programs adhere to a model of life-long recovery, addressing addiction disease as a chronic, relapsing condition. Rehab aftercare services vary widely based on the specific and evolving needs of the client, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, and 12 step program induction. Clients, case managers, and care teams typically collaborate on long-term care plans.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
With a partial hospitalization program (PHP), individuals can receive intensive rehab with the ability to return home each day. PHP treatment is often an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down option. PHP treatment typically requires at least 20 hours per week for approximately 90 days. Common components of PHP treatment plans include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services. Insurance coverage for PHP treatment is typically available, though coverage specifics depend on your insurance provider.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Lifeline Connections provides medically-assisted detoxification and substance use treatment to help patients attain mental and physical stability without harmful side effects. The facility provides caring compassion and is dedicated to helping patients reach their goal of sobriety and freedom from drugs and alcohol.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Lifeline Connections provides mental health outpatient treatment to those with a mental health condition or a co-occurring disorder, mental health and substance use disorder. They work with clients every step of the way to help them discover and build their own strengths. Lifeline Connections is one of the few mental health outpatient centers capable of treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. With locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, their holistic approach helps individuals with a dual diagnosis achieve balance and stability in their lives.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a highly structured form of therapy that teaches skills to help participants change negative thoughts and behaviors. Applying a philosophy of acceptance and change, you'll learn and practice these skills to break unhealthy patterns and establish healthy ones.

equine-therapy iconEquine Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Clinicians who apply motivational interviewing techniques engage with their clients as equal partners. This method avoids warnings and confrontation and instead allows clients to analyze their situation and explore their options. This technique is often used when the client feels unsure about their ability or desire to change.

The goal of trauma therapy is to help you heal from the aftereffects of a traumatic experience. Your therapist will provide you with a safe and supportive space to process these trauma memories and develop better coping strategies that enhance your emotional resilience.

Couples therapy can help a couple navigate their differences. By learning powerful interpersonal skills in therapy, the couple can work together to overcome challenges and change the direction of their relationship.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Recreational therapy is a dynamic approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatments that integrates activities like gardening, music therapy, and sports. These activities give you a therapeutic outlet for your emotions and help you to reduce your stress levels. This protects your physical and mental health and helps you develop new skills that foster a sober lifestyle.

The food was pretty good. The facility is clean. An inexperienced nurse dosed me with Suboxone in less then twenty four hours after being admitted I soon found out that is against medical advice because it can cause a patient to go into precipitated withdraw and even cause then to have a ceasure. She was unapologetic and extremely rude when I began to have a ceasure on her office floor. I had a precipitated withdraw ceasure from being dosed too soon and was taking by ambulance to the emergency room. I completed my detox there and transitioned to there men's residential program. The Director of the facility did reach out to me. She was apologetic when finding out not only what I had endured from the night prescriber but also the distain and cold treatment I then received after being stabilized by the emergency room. There are better places to trust your own care or the care of a loved one too. Find them.

Just called the detox center and got a hold of someone named britney who proceeded to be the most uncaring, and care-less person i've ever heard working in a medical field with people who are calling to get help. Y'all need to get it together before you end up getting a lawsuit filed against you.Because that's ridiculous. Don't have people who could care less answering the phones and being in your situation, getting paid.

THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT WA HAS! Staff are Unprofessional, & unwillingly wanting to help anyone. It’s as if they’re Literally just there to “do their job (at minimum) & go home” which is understandable. However, if you have a simple request as far as a ‘ROI’ needing to be signed and sent to said probation officer, why does it take 3 attempts on 3 different occasions? Every time I call in, (lines are always busy). Every time you show up, hardly anyone’s there. Make it make sense & just say you don’t like your job & QUIT, find something that’ll suit YOU, idk maybe behind the scenes action like Amazon? Just good for thought, since you all seem to not give any. Seriously, helpless. Highly not recommended if you are trying to get courses done for court. These girls play too much games.
