This has been one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had with counseling. I have severe trauma with therapists in the past but finally gathered the courage to seek help once again, which I thought valley cities could provide for me… they did absolutely nothing but further my distrust for counseling. They paired me up with a brand new therapist that’s still in school for this profession named Ari that ended up victim blaming me for my sexual assault. Why they chose someone who clearly has no idea what they’re doing when I need an experienced professional I have no clue…
Secondly, the psychiatrist that they set me up with has little to no availability, I cannot express how horrible it has been to be on medication with unbearable side affects and have no one to talk to about it. It has made me feel helpless, sleep deprived and ruined my mental state completely. The appointments are booked 2-3 months out, and if your psychiatrist calls in sick ? Good luck, you’re suck with a medication that doesn’t work for you and have to continue to go through hell until your next appointment.. and the best part is that it seems they don’t care whatsoever about your wellbeing, they push you out the door without REALLY listening to your needs.
Please, if you’re just starting to seek help, do not start with Valley cities. These people chose the wrong career path if they’re okay with treating patients this way.

I have been to every clinic in Portland and this clinic is by far the best one the only problem is that corporate will not pay the nurses enough so they can't get anybody to work there there is so many people going to this clinic that they should be making piles of money I suspect that corporate in Florida is taking all the profits and not investing back in the clinic that's making them more money then any of there other clinics anywhere and it's not fair to the clients because they have to spend sometimes 5 hours to get there meds. I know I have had to go to the clinic 4 days I'm a row to finly get my 27 take outs they will only have one nurse to fill everyone's meds for the whole day because all the other nurses go on vacation at the same time and the clinic has no sense to call a temp agency for situations like this they just let us all suffer the whole day to get out meds as soon as they fix this. Well the service has gotten much better as long as they keep enough staff on it's the best clinic in the Portland metro area I have gone to 5 or them so far each with there own problems I don't want to have to wait in huge lines but a promise is a promise and I'm a honest person I want to believe . They have hi Ed more nurses so it has been much better experience to go there and it's the only clinic that I don't dread going to new season is more respectful as long as you stay respectful you will not have a problem remember they deal with probably close to a thousand people a day sometimes it just depends on how many of us M27 are here at the same time because it takes us a good 15 minutes to see the nurse and they have been working all morning and it gets donting doing the same thing all day and then dealing with us try to take your problems to your counselor first because when everyone is irritated it's hard to get along and as long as everyone trys to get along and stay calm the smother things go and the days that are bad you just have to deal with it laitly there it's been smooth I'm I'm and out in less then 30 minutes most time and that is a blessing I have been other places I will not mention them there not worth it I have spent 8 hours a day in them for weeks on end when I was just starting out it was a nightmare but it's never been that bad here over Christmas was tuff but it's back to normal again thank God if you are having problems with fetty please come here and get help I have lost so many people I loved to that crap and I love opiates don't tell anyone lol but fentanyl is not a opiat it's poison made in buckets is sewers I'm not joking and it is just imatating opiats anyway and killing you at the same time please come get help it goes away you just have to give it a chance and save your mom and dad and brothers and sisters and your friends from the heartache that they will go through when they loose you it's just a matter of time it will happen unless you do something about it so think about your children and everyone that cares about you I care about you and I don't know you yet and hope to do so some day and not read about you in the paper in some story about tragedy ok please come be calm and you will get help thank you for reading my review I spend alot of time doing them when it matters and they have changed this place for the better so if you have been before come back it's better do it for all of us to ok later

Everyone was wonderful.
Bruce tells it like it is! No BS. Carter is very engaging. Heather made my experience magical. I had no idea why I was there in the first place, and as I continued attending, I was provided very helpful tools to help me understand myself and my situation a little better. I have nothing but great things to say about them, except maybe the parking situation could be a bit better, but I am not judging 😉.

All of the tools and resources you need are available here. Although the true impetus for progress is found within, there are people here who genuinely care about their patients and their patients recovery. Carter, Mark, Sage and Dane to name a few employees at Crestview who have been instrumental in helping me find value in life, and foster a loving relationship with myself. In doing so I am able to share that kindness with friends, family, and strangers alike (not always easy!) . It may or may not work for you but it worked for me. I just took it seriously, I took suggestions, and I wasnt afraid to face my problems head on thanks to the coping skills and fresh perspectives I gained while at Crestview. The mystery of life isn't a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.

This place saved me.
At first arrival, I was sketched out for sure. I was about to leave when two of the staff, Scott and John spoke with me and put me at enough ease to check in to the detox facility. I had so much trepidation but once I was in, I was so happy I stayed. Each and every one of the staff is amazing! From the nurses who are awesome(Boo especially), the BHT’s who genuinely care and go above and beyond to bring as much comfort as possible during my stay, to the therapists and medical clinicians, all were a huge part of my recovery. Even the C level, Bethany was present and available when needed.
The food was great and regularly improving.
The beds were comfortable, rooms are basic but everything that is needed. The room I was in had a Roku tv so I was fortunate but from what I heard every room will be getting one which is nice to be able to be able to secluded myself when I wanted and just zone out to shows to pass time.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this facility for any detox needs.

I was in a deep, dark place this time last year and Cedar Hills took me in with open arms. I had never done an outpatient mental health program, I was feeling really insecure. The staff was wonderful, it felt great to have everything managed in one place. Frequent medication changes proved to be so helpful. This program allowed me to get back to the basics of self care, along with depression and anxiety management. I graduated April 2024 and I’m a different person. I can go to work, I can safely express my emotions, I can verbalize my needs, and I understand that I have worth. Im only giving 5 stars because the staff here is nice and they listen well and always help out when my husband has stomach episodes. My husband and i came in again today first time in a few months he's gotten sick like this, he has a cancerous cyst in his esophagus that causes issues with his stomach so he’s on a special diet until we find out what triggers him. Sometimes he eats something that sets him off and he ends up puking and dry heaving until he cant stand and he can’t keep any fluids down so i bring him here to get an IV with fluids so he doesn't dehydrate! The doctors, the nurses, the medical assistants, everyone here is wonderful they always listen to me and do great with him. What saddens me is today i was in the waiting room with him and there was a hand full of people staring at him while he was puking and dry heaving, and making comments and telling people not to sit next to us because they thought he was contagious even though i had clarified he is not and that its a pre existing condition. It became so uncomfortable to the point i wheeled my husband into the hallway and waited there and stood in front of him so no one could stare. Everyone in the waiting room didn't even show signs of being sick, no one was coughing or puking or pale or had any visible sickness. They all just sat around on their phones chit chatting and staring at my husband and making comments, and half of them got into a room before my husband who is in agonizing pain. One of the women in there kept announcing that she had cancer, and was even being disrespectful to the staff, and talking down of the staff saying no one here knows how to do their job, she offered me these odd candies for my husband and I politely turned her down and she immediately caught an attitude. Y’all need to grow up. Im sure if you were in my husbands position or my position you wouldn’t enjoy that either. So folks think before you speak.

I unfortunately needed a higher level of care than PHP but the month I was at this location was spent in kind and caring arms. I moved to Vancouver from outta state, but I have been seeing this Sea Mar clinic since about a year. Have had the same male doctor. Everyone is great here, from mental health to help getting in to see specialists. Only down fall I have been able to come across: is getting in for summer appointments with my PCP (which is totally fine), OBGYNs constantly leaving, and the occasional rude receptionist. If and when u meet a rude receptionist, take a deep breath and try a ton of kindness, if and when that doesn't work tell them they r going to transfer u or u will treat them exactly how they are treating u. Most usually break at that point and transfer, or bable on about what is going on with them. As an empath I don't mind, but I'm also one of those ppl who everyone will talk to about everything under the sun. Kill everyone with kindness, u don't know what's going on, u don't know the Karen they just had to remove from the clinic, u don't know about the threats they had to hear today. That's what is wrong with our medical system, it is understaffed, and treated poorly, what is the point in trying to convince our kids to go into health care with how poorly some patients treat our health care workers. No not all patients do that, but enough its makes an impact on our health care workers.

Attending Lakeside has been one of the best decisions of my life. Their inpatient facility in Kirkland has a very welcoming atmosphere, the grounds are wooded and beautiful you get lots of free time to enjoy yourself mixed in with some very informative lectures and groups.
I spent some time at the outpatient facility and I would again suggest going there for inpatient, outpatient, or continuing care. I had a wonderful case worker for most of my time there who helped me navigate some challenging life experiences, and the groups I had there were invaluable to my recovery.
They are a 12 step focused treatment facility, but they also promote exploration of other programs and won't alienate you if you don't vibe with AA as your chosen method of recovery.
