The facility boasts a safe, structured environment fully equipped to enhance comfort while onsite. The rooms are super cozy and feel homely. Specially furnished suites are available to accommodate the needs of those with dependent children. Hallways and common areas feature vibrant murals and uplifting artwork. This creates a welcoming and motivational environment.
Staff is available around the clock to provide support when needed. While the program has rules and supervision, this is not a high-security or locked facility. This means you’ll enjoy a high level of freedom and flexibility during your stay here. You’ll be treated with utmost respect as mature and recovering adults. You must be honest and accountable on your own part.
Family Focused Care
This program is grounded in family support and parenting. You’re allowed to bring your children up to the age of 11 to live with you onsite. Having your child with you in recovery keeps your family bond strong and helps with emotional healing. It also removes the stress of separation and helps you focus fully on getting better. Plus, you’ll learn parenting skills in a supportive space while building a healthier future together.
Child care is provided onsite while you navigate treatment. School-aged kids are mandated to attend school within the community. The staff will help you find enrollment options. Kids aged five to 11 attend tailored counseling to accomplish specific goals. They may work on managing stress, coping with family changes, or developing positive social skills. This support helps them feel secure and thrive alongside their parent’s recovery.
Supervised Withdrawal Management
Your recovery in this clinic begins with medically monitored withdrawal. This is geared toward removing toxins from your body in preparation for therapy. During the procedure you’ll be monitored 24/7 by the clinicians. They may administer meds and offer counseling and other clinical support to help you cope with symptoms. The goal is to ensure that your withdrawal is as comfortable as possible. This procedure may take between 24 hours to five days, depending on your unique condition. The clinical team will assist you in your transition into residential care when you’re stabilized and in good health.
Intensive Support for Daily Living
The inpatient program involves up to 40 hours of group sessions weekly. You’ll attend regularly scheduled therapy groups to build coping skills and prevent relapse. The program also offers parenting sessions and spiritual groups. They also offer nutrition and exercise groups and recreational activities so that you can enjoy your healing journey.
You’re expected to attend all daily group activities, congregate meals and work on building relationships while learning to collaborate in the community. Additionally, you’ll attend individual sessions with your primary counselor to create a personalized recovery plan that suits your needs. Active participation in daily chores that facilitate the smooth running of the house is mandated as well. This fosters personal responsibility.

Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.
Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.
Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.
Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
