Is this place a joke? “We can’t do anything without a doctor’s order” funny thing is that either they “can’t find anything from the doctor from the HOSPITAL” or their stall doctor either ignores you. My husband had a urine catheter. No biggie right? The problem here is that the ONLY time he ‘s to have one in is during surgery for his insides are very, very sensitive to them and it MUST be removed as soon as possible. Hillside left it in for a week. He was hurting so bad from its infection and swelling that it took nearly 20 minutes just to get it out. He was ALWAYS hungry as thei food quality and quantity was so poor and small (portions) that he didn’t bother eating after 6 “meals”. He constantly advised them that he didn’t care for oatmeal EVERY morning and asked for something else but after numerous times telling them he just gave up. The CNA’s were great but their hands were tied as a CNA can only do so much (a CNA has so little training that just about anyone can do it). PAIN CONTROL is a joke also as the person dispensing same gas a brain that’s on vacation. I had my husband veep a time log for it. The average time it took was 47 minutes. Hillside is a joke! I

This place should absolutely be shut down! Reports to the state will be filed by numerous family members. I'm so appalled that a place like this can even exist.

This facility should be investigated for criminal negligence. My father was left to lie in his bed for more than five days without proper care, left in pain, and outright denied the medication that had been prescribed to him. This is not only inhumane—it is a gross violation of the most basic standards of medical care and patient dignity. The staff demonstrated a shocking disregard for their legal and ethical duty to provide care. Failing to reposition or attend to a patient for days constitutes neglect that borders on abuse. Withholding prescribed medication is not only unethical, it raises serious legal questions that regulatory bodies should examine immediately. Families entrust this facility with the lives and wellbeing of their loved ones. What my father endured was cruel, dangerous, and completely unacceptable. I urge anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere, and I strongly encourage state health inspectors, licensing agencies, and legal authorities to hold this facility accountable for its actions. If you value your loved ones’ health, safety, or dignity, do not leave them in this facility’s hands.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Going to be filing a suit for elder abuse. Nurses telling patients they won’t bathe them. Refusing to acknowledge pain. The level of care is criminal. They will be hearing from my lawyers.

My aunt was staying there after her surgery. I felt so bad for the people that were there. Two people crammed up in a little room, to the point where their and the bed practically touched. The room is a mess. Their port a toilets full of urine. Right next to dinner table n tray. I had to go and get them ice water as well as put away the dinner trays my aunt has not had a shower in 10 days. I talked with one nurse and she didn't know anything about it talked to another nurse she said I'll be done in the next morning I ca I'm mylled the next morning it wasn't done blah blah. So basically took an additional two days to get them to even give her one. Extremely loud in the halls and very unprofessional. I left crying do you have to stay there when you don't feel good I just felt so bad for anyone that's had too.

Our mother was not rehabbed in any way shape or form! Understaffed for sure, they left my mom sitting in a wheelchair for hours, the rooms were so small it was ridiculous. Each patient slept in a twin sized bed! The food was so bad. We pulled our mom outta there so fast, they were shocked at our actions but we did not like that place at all, very bad vibes and mean employees.

Nice staff but nice doesn’t mean professional service. No one who is trying to heal and get strong should be served such terrible cafeteria food. Nothing fresh , mostly everything from a can. The cooks sure don’t want to hear that and seems as though no one has courage to fire and start fresh. Food is one thing patient has to look forward to- even staff has said they wouldn’t eat that food. Rooms are too small for two patients with equipment and commodes. Not efficient and hard to keep sanitary. Would be nice to have music or at least have the piano in use. Music is healing. A tv with movies in local area with warm lights. Make it cozy and welcoming.

Recently, after a week-and-a-half hospital stay, my mother spent about two-and-a-half weeks here at Hillside. She was treated very well, very kindly, and very attentively. The staff were very friendly, communicative to her (and myself as her caregiver), and very good at their jobs. Our family has had nightmare rehab stories from other facilities with other family members, so we went in with a negative predisposition, but we were relieved and glad to have those expectations subverted. Highly recommended.

Response from the owner
Hello Zach - Thank you so much for your kind words. It is our pleasure to serve you and your mother.
