I would give this place a one star however a few nurses and staff members were great and they are severely understaffed which is not their fault. Don’t go here if you want any peace of mind. They completely under medicated myself and everyone else I talked to leaving patients in agony and anxiety. Also using incorrect medications for the chosen purpose. Getting anyone’s attention was like pulling teeth most of the time unless certain staff members were on duty. The more time I spent there the worse I felt! They provide no activity’s other than short AA meetings twice a week and a tv room. Most people don’t talk to each other and walk around like zombies while staff is no where to be found half the time. They also loose people’s belongings and make them leave with less then they came with. If you’re seeking to detox in a safe comfortable and caring environment look elsewhere. They do provide resources for longer term treatment but I would say only go here if you’re homeless and need food and shelter.

*** BEWARE THE EMPLOYEES STEAL FROM THE PATIENTS**** the employees go thru your belongings and steal when you think your stuff is safe. These people tell you to bring at least 30 days worth of clothes incase you end up going to a rehab facility after your detox stay. They claims your things will be secured and locked away where only the staff/employees can access your personal items. my mom went in here to detox, and they stole her leather bag with $400 which was filled with new clothing inside of the bag most still had tags on it because she has been in and out of facilities this year for occupational therapy & nursing homes due to health problems. Additionally, when My brother called to find out more information like who would have access to the bags, the director tryed to act professional & claimed she also was a recovering addict but was nasty & unprofessional with him. One of the staff members also went and alterned the inventory slip to make It appear like she only went in with two bags, but she with three bags and her purse. Not only were they unprofessional when we called to find out who has access to the patient’s belongings, but who steals from patients trying to recover at such a hard time in life? Edna, my moms counselor didnt seem concerned. i have now called and left 3 voicemails requesting a call back and heard NOTHIng. I had to file a police report today that totalled over $4000 because of this. My moms dentures alone cost $3700 . I’m going to make it my personal mission to not only sue them and file a claim on them. You’re stealing their personal items while they’re trying to recover. You guys have opened a can of worms and you have no idea how far I am willing to take this so prepare yourself not only am I coming for your job but I can surely conjure of chaos pain and And sickness into your lives and into the lives of your family and your loved one Ones, who steals from people that are sick? karma has no expiration date

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. MDC provides 24/7 medically supervised chemical dependency detoxification services for adults and youth over the age of 13.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol rehabs are typically the best option if you're looking for substance abuse treatment in Washington. These programs employ evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and holistic approaches to help you overcome addiction, enhance your coping skills, and promote your mental health. Together, you'll learn the vital skills to support long-term sobriety and overall well-being.

If you have both a substance abuse problem and a mental health disorder like depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety, it is known as a co-occurring disorder or a dual diagnosis. Dealing with substance abuse, alcoholism, or drug addiction is already difficult, but it becomes even more difficult when you combine addiction with mental health problems. That's why it's essential to treat both conditions at the same time.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. During the detoxification treatment the family is encourage to visit.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

So I went here 8 yrs ago and it was great food, kept me drugged up enough to sleep through any agony of withdrawal and it was 4.5 stars out of 5. Let u have ur own toiletries and nurses making their rounds and taking care of any kind of problems one might have and with care. Now to the present food was horrible the worst TV dinners u could have and PCJ food is better than MDC and that's crazy. Hamburger was gross and no condiments and teriyaki chicken with rice but no soy sauce or teriyaki sauce and chicken drier than a popcorn fart. Snacks were pretzels and that was it the whole time. Now you have drug addicts and alcoholics and most of them are losing their teeth or have just a few teeth left but pretzels. They used to have a refrigerator stuffed with all kinds of goodies and doughnuts for snacks with all kinds of juice. Nurses don't seem to give a shit about people and more concerned about their smoke breaks. They did keep me dopped up to feel comfortable but upon getting released I had bad shakes and dizziness from lack of nutrients from not eating cause it was disgusting. With good food comes good nutrients and better possibility of being successful. I have heard horror stories about MDC in past and I always backed them up from my time there 8 yrs ago but as of now I suggest don't going there if you want success in recovery. I'm still fighting for sobriety for myself and for my two little ones cause they deserve a father that can protect and provide so I will conquer my addiction. God Bless
