Paradise Creek Recovery Center

Paradise Creek Recovery Center is a sex addiction treatment center in southern Idaho north of the Utah border in Malta. The 8 bed facility serves men with problematic sexual behaviors such as porn addiction and online sexual offenses.

In addition to sexual addiction, clients can receive treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders. Their location is surrounded by natural beauty nestled between Sawtooth National Forest, City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park.

At Paradise Creek, residents get a range of services from mental and medical assessments to exercise and fitness programs. They also utilize traditional treatments such as individual and group therapy to help with recovery.

Two standout treatments that are offered at this location are biofeedback therapy and eye movement and desensitization reprocessing. Biofeedback can help train you to relax your body when you experience cravings and withdrawal symptoms so you can avoid relapsing. EMDR can help with healing trauma that may be the cause of your sexual addiction or substance use disorder.

Experiential Groups to Foster Recovery

One of the things I am most impressed by at this center is their focus on group activities. These groups help each client learn compassion, open-mindedness, problem solving and more.

I like that they run ropes courses, creative expression workshops and evening campfires to discuss recovery principles with the other residents. There are other daily activity groups that range from arts and crafts to movie or games nights. You’ll learn the importance of having a support system and also learn new ways to manage your stress in a healthy way.
