They told me I had low amniotic fluid and I went to Champaign Carle and it wasn t even true. That then made me so scared for the whole car ride to Champaign. The doctor was very rude took hours for them to do anything. The doctor treated me like I was dumb and I have never felt more uncomfortable at a hospital before. Would never go back. Also overhead them talking about a patient having herpes and laughing about it. Very unprofessional.

I would not even rate this a 1 . I go on for a tooth infection. The worst pain I have ever felt . Going up into my head and jaw. I m the only other person I see besides a lady sitting on the bench. Then a young boy , oh , about 14 comes in having labored breathing . The receptionist tells his mother , go ahead and sit on down. They will get to you when they can. I watch her just go sit behind the desk , not bothering to call a nurse. Nothing. I m in complete shock. The mother looks frantic in desperation and says oh gosh I don t even think we will make it to DMH. Remind you this kids skin color is pale and a tent of blue. Mean while they just sit on down. I finally say to the receptionist, go get the Nurse now. He needs oxygen. I mean obviously they are delaying a major medical emergency at this point.Should this even be legal? Then I proceed to go back and I asked to address this with the nurse as it s very concerning to watch . She brushed me off and proceeded to punish me with an extra long wait for my pain. They gave me no current antibiotics to start off w right there and sent me home w what they said was a shot for pain. However it did not touch my pain. Wonder what was in this shot ??? So I go back home to suffer in pain and what a horrific night of pain and I d like to say if this young boy ends up in worse of a condition, reach out to me. No one should take someone into an ER and endure this. It s very inappropriate . Honestly, they should just shut down if they cannot perform as an ER team. I d like to say after seeing so many bad reviews on life threatening emergencies, should the public be looking at legal actions ? I m seeing repeated behaviors being accepted by this hospital. This is Not ok.

Accepted Insurance

Saint Mary’s Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

They are too broke to provide adequate care and should probably shut down operations for good and get jobs as painters or something they enjoy. After covid they announced severe cutbacks and sent me a letter saying I couldn't have my pension. They also offered me $3000 to accept a gag order and not talk poorly about them under penalty of law. I didn't take it. It's been delightful the last few years watching their reviews tank as the local populace realizes what a drain on society HSHS is. It takes a really perverted mindset to prey on the weak and desperate.

I’ve taken my 3 month old daughter there multiple times they’re always extremely dismissive and they lie Even inmy chart and their notes when you tell them that it needs to be corrected due to the lies. It’s never corrected and it’s always denied saying the provider did everything correctly. I personally was turned away and told to go to a different hospital because they did not have OB services when I was having complications post C-section. After my OB had cleared me. And then I made a complaint within the hospital, and I was told that the doctor did not deny me, and it was a miscommunication, even though she blatantly refused to run any type of test and discharge me without any type of evaluation. And as far as my daughter goes, she has had multiple medical issues while at St. Mary’s they always tells me there’s nothing wrong with her and then we will go somewhere else and she’s been admitted multiple times after being told nothing was wrong with her

The night shift was excellent! Jodie and Robin are both angels on earth! The morning shift consisting , care techs Danyelle, and Selena are amazing, but the nurse Cathy and the rest of the day shift care providers aren’t worth a penny! Extremely rude, and slow… I have asked for help with pain 5 different times now and no one has come in! They’re worthless as nurses. No compassion, no empathy… no desire to help anyone over come pain. They’re just yelling at some old man and ignoring me!!! Unacceptable!

My mom was there last week for several tests after being sick with a bad cough and no energy and passing out, and the hospital staff said all tests were clear and she was fine and sent her home. Now she is at Decatur Memorial Hospital after getting worse and diagnosed with pneumonia! St Mary’s is terrible and would give less than one star if I could. Staff were very unkind to my 82 yo mom and treated her disrespectfully.

The most awful hospital experience I've ever had. The nurse's and doctors were doing their best. With all the cuts that management has done, they might as well have tied their hand. I do not believe they should be excepting patients.

My son's had 4 or 5 new pediatricians in six years, and at the beginning of August I got ANOTHER letter stating his doctor is no longer seeing patients, in fact no one is seeing pediatrics at the hospital. I was given a list of 3 in network physicians and assumed I would be able to schedule an appointment promptly. Wrong. The earliest availability was Oct 1. So two entire months my son has zero access to a primary physician, even though we remain in network. Don't get me started on the answering service, you can't call any facility directly you have to go through the service and HOPE. I'm not sure who in the community the hospital serves anymore because it's not the women, children, or even mental health.

I would like to say 0!!! My dad was in the ED last Monday through Wednesday. He had fallen, injuries to 3 ribs and his back. He was kept on an ED stretcher with minimal (and late)pain meds. My sister in law had to become assertive and insist that he be evaluated to see if he met inpatient criteria. Not only did he, he was also moved to hospice status. The ED dr was so rut that family members had to insist that he stay away. My dad was screaming in pain and after a very long wait for nursing, could not get stronger meds. St Mary’s treated him as though he was irrelevant and just taking up space. I sure pray for karma. Once transferred to 6th floor (only floor open), a very rude, male second shift nurse was put out that he had to complete the admissions process. There was a dirty IV pole in my dad’s room with meds from the previous patient hung. My sister in law asked that it be removed. The nurse snipped at her and walked out. She moved the pole into the hall way. This really made him mad. Shortly after he made my step mother leave. Remember, my dad was hospice status. Once we made through all of this, the hospice nurse and the other nurses began thier work. Once that started, the moved to wonderful. Everyone went out of their way to keep my dad and our family comfortable. I know that once he was made hospice, the meds, etc became more available. But no one should ever have to endure what he and my family did. Please don’t let anyone else go through this
