Accepted Insurance

South Arkansas Regional Health Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Gloves all over the property, trash everywhere, no one can hit the trashcan if their life depended on it. Sums up the condition of the rest of the town by looking at the nastiest health facility in the south.

I wanted to express my gratitude to SARH for the care my mom received while there. I will probably forget a few people but wanted to thank Angel and her team on the 3rd floor for the exceptional care. Mom was later transferred to rehab on the 2nd floor where she also had exceptional care. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to some of her care team, Ms Kim and Mr Gene - YOU TWO were angels and honestly made each day the best! Mom still talks about you both. Thank you to OT and PT for also taking such good care of mom. Everyone was very compassionate and for that I’m grateful. Last but definitely not least I want to thank Dr Smart for his compassion and care he gave mom while in his care, you are the best and appreciated. Thank you again SARH for taking such good care of my mom!

I would give them 0 stars if I could, because they don't deserve any more than that. I still have amnesia from my wreck 2 years ago but I have my medical records from there including the doctor's and the nurse's notes and the fact that themselves wrote all of it down and thought nothing of the neglect and malpractice they shouldve been held accountable for shows how messed up the overall attitude and care given for patients is. I had never been to a doctor or to the hospital in El dorado before and i would rather someone let me die than take me back there. Even though inhave amnesia, i have severe PTSD regarding that building. When my hisband was doordashing and he had to deliver food to their ER, i would visibly shake and would have to fight back tears until we left. I will never voluntarily walk into the God awful place. I was only there for maybe an hour and half after being brought in via ambulance after I totalled my car on my way home from work 2 years ago. My injuries were so severe that the EMTs from Warren brought me to Eldorado instead of 10 minutes down the road to the hospital in Warren because Eldorado is supposedly a trauma hospital. Like I said, I was there less than 2 hours. In the notes it says I complained of pain but they didn't do anything about me. They noted I was being onory and cranky. Then I died. They somehow managed to bring me back to life after putting me on oxygen and giving me 3 blood transfusions and jumping my heart back off. They managed to get Survival there 5 minutes later and they took me to UAMS in Little Rock. That was around 3 a.m. I had wrecked around 9:30 pm on Highway 8 heading from Monrow to Warren. I was so tired and so stressed.. I don't remember what happened. I turned right to stay on highway 8 outside Johnsville and the next memory I had was 24 hours later waking up at UAMS not remembering the last 24 hours at all. The next morning I learned alot about the hospital in Eldorado from my doctors at UAMS. According to UAMS 1. When I was taken off the helicopter, the first noticeable injury was my face. From the middle of my forehead by my hairline down toward my nose then a sharp turn and a jagged line across my left eye and then curving back up to my left temple is where my flesh had been ripped and was hanging down over the rest of my face. I was in El dorado that whole time with half of my face hanging off the bone and they did nothing. I was bleeding from my liver, both longs, my severed subclavian artery, spleen, and kidneys. I had a fractured sternum and fractured hip where the pelvic and hip joints connect on the right side. All of my ribs on my right side were broken or cracked. One of my lungs had collapsed. I developed a large blood clot close to my heart due to my subclavian artery being cut. I suffered damage to some of the disks in my spine and severe nerve damage. Follow for the rest of my story

I had my baby there at the labor and delivery part of the hospital.. very nice nurses and thanks to Dr Booker for delivering my baby girl Dec of 2024.. my only downside of this hospital was the one nurse who ignored and wouldn’t listen to me when I said I didn’t wanna do something she wanted me to do bc how painful it was.. I’m thankful to the two nurses who helped me out of the bathroom so I wouldn’t have my baby in the bathroom.. :) overall I loved this hospital and felt very comfortable for my 3 day stay

My fiancé and I came in around 2:30am and everything as far as the nurses and doctors were well. The nurses were very kind and helpful and both doctors were straight to the point. The only flaw we found was that there was a very long wait (around 7 hours in our room). The nurses kept my fiancé warm blankets and help.

Would give zero stars if possible. I have been dealing with numbness from the base of my spine all the way to my toes for 4 days. My vision got cloudy and my pupils had become two complete different sizes. This was a red flag to me so my parents begged me to go to the ER. My nurse was attentive and great, but the doctor? He’d rather leave me for dead. I’ve been battling thyroid issues and he ordered a ct scan with dye. I asked if the dye would affect my already unhealthy thyroid and they all said no, that was a lie! I’ve been up all night with severe hyperthyroid symptoms much worse than before due to the heavy dose of iodine. And the ct scan? They only checked from my collar bone to my waist.. I asked about my neck multiple times and explained the pressure between my eyes only to be told “your pupils are reacting to light, you’re fine”. Which I guess the doctor was referring to the very dim lit room I was in because he performed no cognitive/neurological tests. This is also the same doctor that attempted to discharge my sister after a car wreck and refuse an x ray… thank Gid my family pushed them to do more because she had a broken spine and could’ve become paralyzed!! It resulted in a transfer to Little Rock for emergency surgery.. and to think they already had her discharge papers written up for “bruising”. SARH is an absolute joke. I will never go back.

I just got a question, are stress x-rays only for kids or for adults as well?
