Horrible experience, calls not returned from the consoler pretty much completely abandoned from their care. Do not let people you love use this office, because it could be dangerous being abandoned. Always ask for their credentials as well because I didn t receive them. Their staff actively works to get rid of these ratings.. something to keep in mind.

Wow, came here to say that they will not call me back to set up an appointment and I see that it's a common problem apparently. When you're feeling hopeless and finally reach out for help only to be ignored by three different offices, it really makes you lose faith that you can get better. This area is absolutely horrible for mental health services. What a sad situation.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I have always had a positive experience here. My therapist is such a warm and caring person. The office staff always goes above and beyond to help those in need. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I am honestly surprised at some of these reviews. As to those giving a poor rating due to not getting calls back, we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Everything changes and changes again. I have been coming here for over ten years, and am happy with the service they provide.

I’m kind of upset… I really enjoyed working with Kathy but she kind of just abandoned me. Because I started working with a drug and alcohol councilor and she thought that was more important than speaking with her. She told me months ago to call if I need anything but hasn’t once called to check on me. My biggest fear is abandonment and that’s what happened. Luckily I just started working with someone else recently and she’s been very helpful.. but I waited so long because I had been holding on to hope. I thought Kathy was different than all the therapists I had worked with before.

Looking at the other reviews I'm a little shocked honestly. I go to Kyle and can't say enough positive things about his counseling. I've seen a lot of therapists on and off and never quite found a fit. Partially because I wasn't at that place myself, partial because I've had not the best experiences in places. But honestly, this guy has helped me so much I can't even explain it! He's very respectful of people's time and attentive whenever I work with him. He's always up to date of where we've been, are, and goals to work towards. My understanding of myself, my traumas, and my reasons for doing the things I do have never been deeper. I've got a history of anxiety and depression along with S.U.D and have worked with my fair share of mental health professionals but, thankfully, I don't have to go through the awkward intakes or first sessions that amount to nothing are long over. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Called three times over two weeks to get an appointment, every time was "we'll call you right back." Never got a call. waste of time, go somewhere else if you are looking to receive counseling service in a timely manner. Their only positive reviews seem to be from their own staff.

Kathy is the most vile, pushy, and ignorant person. It’s hard to believe she “runs” this center. She seems to have little to no knowledge of proper human interaction, let alone how to help someone. She belittles, speaks over you, and judges you. She cares more about billing insurances and making appointments, rather than helping anyone. Don’t waste your time or copays with her. Maybe someone else there can help those in need, but under her leadership, best of luck.
