About Turning Point of Central California

The residential program offers a multifaceted approach to transformation. While they are not a traditional alcohol and drug rehab center, they provide certified drug and alcohol classes to individuals struggling with addiction or dual diagnosis. Clients will participate in vocational skills and job development courses, individual counseling, recreational activities, and community-based activities, and they will also have the chance to receive assistance on how to reunite with family members if it is determined that this would be beneficial.

Upon completion of the residential program, clients are encouraged to maintain contact with professionals who can assist them in ongoing care. This often takes the form of mental health counseling, ongoing connection with social services, and maintaining a level of involvement in support groups.

Turning Point of Central CA invites individuals to contact them to learn more about their fees for services, free treatment, and insurance. If a person wants to use insurance for any type of treatment, they are encouraged to contact the provider because out-of-network benefits may vary.

Accepted Insurance

Turning Point of Central California works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

This is what they feed you as a WHOLE meal, and think it's will feel you up?! Every day the food gets smaller and grosser. Katy is lining her pockets while starving us. They aren't here to help us they are here to get a check. We have no programing here. They force us into uneducational "groups" 4 times a day. Feed us garbage. No outings. No phone for 60 days. Can't have the same basic things we had we bought on canteen where we came from. No family events staff treat us poorly and get away with it. They care more about random P tests than they care about helping us re enter the world and be productive. I hope they get investigated i hope they get shut down I been here a little more then 2 months one more to go and I would never come back. Its more like a concentration camp. They hire new employees to come in an make up rules as they go whats good for one person isn't good for another and you have to be katy teacher pet to get any kind of privileges and also if you're sick you get punished. This place is wack and the food is horrid and disgusting. This is more like a cell than the actual cell was.

This is a r-e-h-a-b, not a re-entry facility. The director katie makes up her own rules as she goes. They say every day the written rule book rules don't apply and that the rules are verbally what she says and every person there has different rules. The meals they give aren't even enough to feed a toddler. Katie allows night lead Angie to write up anyone anytime she pleases. They send people back for retaliation anytime they speak up. They won't let you see your family just one 3 hour outting once a month. They encourage staff to treat us like we dont matter instead of like humans, belittle us and degrade us. Currently under investigation and being audited for not being in compliance that's why their is a freeze on bringing anyone in. If you have a medical emergency and need to be in a hospital for observation they say you CAN'T or they are sending you back they just did that a few days ago and it was recorded and documented. Angie writes up anyone who doesn't take a medication they don't want to take. No family events or outings, no offical rules book or set guidelines. Class action suit filed by 4 people now and counting. Don't come here. Go anywhere else but here. Even staying behind in the cage is a better option. They get a big bonus for feeding on holidays so they won't let anyone leave to go anywhere or see their family on the holidays and INSTEAD feed the smallest meal they can and katie keeps the funding check and splits it up with different staff members.
