This place is great. Caring counselors. It’s got its “issues” like every treatment facility, but overall clients are heard and most everything gets resolved. If you don’t follow rules well or keep your counseling appointments, then yes, you will have “issues” and get upset. The front desk is professional, respectful, and patient…very patient! Don’t die in addiction, please get help, treatment (here or anywhere. But most importantly begin somewhere, you matter.) The doctor here is also very knowledgeable and caring. It can get very busy, so come as early to open as possible. God bless.

By far the best services in Bakersfield! My brother has been coming around more, due to the motivation the counselors and staff member give him when they see him! I was a pain pill addict for 8 years. I started off taking vicodin (hydrocodone) as prescribed, but I really liked the euphoric affects it gave me. One a day became 2, then 2 became 4, and by the time it was all said and done, I was taking 15 hydrocodone 5/500 daily. If I had 7/750, then it was 8 a day; Darvocet 6.5/650 was 8 a day (until it was taken off the market); Oxycodone (Oxycontin) 4-6 a day. I was married at the time and my wife just had hernia surgery. I took her prescription and filled it "for her" (Oxycodone, but I don't recall the mgs. per tablet, but she had a qty. of 30). She was ok for a few days so she didn't take anything but Tylenol. After about 10 days she was hurting and decided to take one. I had taken ALL 30 of HER pills because of my addiction (NO REAL HUSBAND WOULD HAVE DONE THAT BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE PUT HIS WIFE'S NEEDS ABOVE HIS OWN). I finally had enough and searched the Internet "Stop using pain pills now". There was an article about a clinic called Aegis Medical Services that could help with opiate addiction. I called and spoke with the clinic's manager for about an hour and was 85% sure I should go. That Monday I went, got a decent check-up while there, and I've been there on and off for 4 years. People bad-mouth these types of clinics, but I'm thankful for them because now I'm not asking my 16 year-old son (who is now 21) to find me some pain pills. I was fiending (pronounced feening) and knocking on doors whenever I was out. Asking strangers on the streets if they knew where I could get vicodin. I couldn't work because I couldn't pass a drug test. I actually got denied a $20 an hour job changing filters on an oil rig in the Santa Monica area because I was taking vicodin that I didn't have a prescription for. Going to Aegis, I can hold down a steady job and I don't have to ask my son, strangers, or anyone else if they know where I can get vicodin just so I can function. When I feel the time is right, I will GRADUALLY begin a tapering process to get off of it completely and have my life back 100%. I'm only at 28 mgs. and it helps me just fine. Best wishes to anyone who wants off opiates. By the way, DO NOT do the 21 day detox program for $21. It has a 0% success rate. Perhaps try the maintenance management. You will have a much better chance of recovery.

Just want to start out to say thank you to most of the staff! Lisa, Kim, and Jes are amazing counselors! Also Gage is amazing. Dmitri is one of those guys that really wants to help and listens to everything and never forgets I see him being one of the best counselor in Bakersfield once he makes that leap. Only negative thing I have to say is I just wish the Counsler that I had was more attentive to me. Out of my whole time there I believe I only spoke with her twice and just wish things would have ended a little differently. No need for me to explain any further. I 100% recommend this place right people and support.

Hello, I went in for help with one medication until Medicare kicked in, and I ended up with all kinds of appointments with doctors, dentists and expenses paid. Fast, fast service! Their business partners in the Medical fields are top tie; I had explanations with details never explained by previous medical professionals. Hello, I went in for help with one medication until Medicare kicked in, and I ended up with all kinds of appointments with doctors, dentists and expenses paid. Fast, fast service! Their business partners in the Medical fields are top tie; I had explanations with details never explained by previous medical professionals. I went in 2017 suicidal, depressed and hopeless. This amazing place changed my life by teaching me DBT and treating me as a welcomed guest. I have friends turned chosen family that I made there. The Staff was knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. The Hope House was my only experience in the mental health care system. In 2020 I lost my freedom over a lie, I experienced Good Samaritan Hospital and Mary K Shell, horrible experience, night and day, I came home with trauma and triggers by the abuses of Dr. BARNES and the GSH that has no cameras to catch them beating up patients. I wish they can take note of the peaceful, healing, environment the Hope House created and the life saving therapy. To me it was life saving because I was never suicidal or depressed again, using DBT skills my Beloved Ron taught me.

I was an participant here also an inmate per cdcr.I was in this facility not o ly as it is now known as CCTRP but also when it was FRCC when it was still fresh just opening.My first trip at FRCC now know as CCTRP back then I was a WE number We3220 to be exact it was much more racial an strict they literally had to comply with all the government rules an issues because it was still new an to continue funding many of us got shipped back to Chowchilla State Prison for the wrong movement.Now since it's CCTRP I have noticed more flexibility your able to be in the community more even go to the doctor in regular clothes instead of the facility.They gave me several chances with my drug use as well as tobacco issues.I mean alot of us,because back In the day they didn't even tell you that you were going back they just called you up front which now only various staff work where In the past it was only two sheriff's there.Anyway it's not so bad an believe me I have done my share an they still worked with me.You can continue your education an utilize your own cellphone I'm unsure there rules now but there alright..an always have good staff even bad too but hey that's anywhere

They are doing a good job. Everyone is held accountable. They can go to work and they have visiting days every week. My only suggestion would be that they can go to church. They could walk to church the same way they walk to work and you would know if they weren't actually at church because you track them. It's almost impossible to heal and recover without faith.
