I would describe my experience with Action IOP like a rollercoaster, all because of my own actions. When I got out of Action Residential I wanted to change my life, but I didn't want to stop using. Because of that, I went in and out of IOP, but never once did the counselors OR the clients judge me. They all excepted me with open arms. There was never judgement in the groups or in individual counseling. I can just speak on my own experience, walking through that door, it's like a sense of acceptance and meditation. The counselors, and clients alike, all just want to see the next person to walk through the door make it; because the disease of addiction is deadly. It was the counselors at Action IOP that helped me see that using really was life or death for me, and that I could live a beautiful life without the influence of drugs. I became so excited for groups that I even attended some 3 months after I graduated! The counselors never let anyone walk through that door without giving them a bit of their time, and they never let anyone exit that door feeling defeated. They all are so absolutely dedicated to their "job", because to them it's not a "job"; it's about helping the addict who still suffers.

I showed up to the out patient program pretty defeated and they recommended I come the day I got out of the 30 day program at the Action facility. Glad I took the advice because it helped make me more accountable for my actions and they helped give me the integrity I needed for the days there wasn't classes I could attend. I found myself looking forward to the 3 days a week I went to their meetings. It actually gave me something to look forward to on tuesdays, thursdays and Saturday's and the rest of the week is up to you what you choose to do. I would recommend action out patient to the world if I could. They helped me save my life

The Aegis Treatment Center on 21st Street, Bakersfield CA. is a well run facility with very few hiccups in the daily routine. The front desk nurses are informative and efficient in there duties, as are the nurses that handle distribution of the meds.(Very professional). The counseling staff are well educated and experienced in there positions. Not to be forgotten how well management runs the show. This clinic has my good recommendation because of the professional and friendly personable nature of the whole staff.

I have seen SO many ways and means to get clean, and most agencies in this town are corrupt to the core, HOWEVER....This place has been spectacular. Staff are so helpful and nice.Front desk staff: cheerful and helpful Even at 5AM. with a line of ex-users being grumpy at them. //Hey users, if you can wait at a connects place for 2 hours just to get a dime, you can control it here//Nurses: swift and efficient, Also in a good mood at 5AM. Anyone who says different is just wrong...ladie you simply crush it even a long line moves fast with you all there.Counsellors: I can't say enough here, so simply put, Ariana - I wouldn't have come this far without you, serious, whomever gets you after your move is lucky beyond words. I love this clinic, the staff are very friendly as well as the counselors are great and they don't judge you or your situation whatsoever, they truly care about what you're going through and try to help. I would recommend this place to anyone with a addiction problem. They will help you the same day or next day at the most, so call first set up appointment and go in, they have great hours for anyone who is working to make sure they can be helped as well, and they accept Medi-cal, which for me was heaven sent!

This Community Based Outpatient Center has helped me with a lot of physical/medical issues and I have always felt that they spent the needed time to address each one. I was an participant here also an inmate per cdcr.I was in this facility not o ly as it is now known as CCTRP but also when it was FRCC when it was still fresh just opening.My first trip at FRCC now know as CCTRP back then I was a WE number We3220 to be exact it was much more racial an strict they literally had to comply with all the government rules an issues because it was still new an to continue funding many of us got shipped back to Chowchilla State Prison for the wrong movement.Now since it's CCTRP I have noticed more flexibility your able to be in the community more even go to the doctor in regular clothes instead of the facility.They gave me several chances with my drug use as well as tobacco issues.I mean alot of us,because back In the day they didn't even tell you that you were going back they just called you up front which now only various staff work where In the past it was only two sheriff's there.Anyway it's not so bad an believe me I have done my share an they still worked with me.You can continue your education an utilize your own cellphone I'm unsure there rules now but there alright..an always have good staff even bad too but hey that's anywhere

They are doing a good job. Everyone is held accountable. They can go to work and they have visiting days every week. My only suggestion would be that they can go to church. They could walk to church the same way they walk to work and you would know if they weren't actually at church because you track them. It's almost impossible to heal and recover without faith.

I was put in here back in 2013. I was coming off drugs and some serious life changes and had a complete mental breakdown. These people were a blessing and I can say I haven t been in any sort of trouble to get me sent back and I ve been sober ever since! This place is seriously a blessing for me. The food was better than jail, they let you watch movies and stay up pretty late. They gave me cigarettes until someone brought me some(quit those too!) they always had clean clothes and fresh bedding something I was not used to. The staff was extremely polite patient and understanding, even though I was out of it for awhile. The doctors initially did a check on me and decided I had to stay until I could pass a check. Thank god! It was probably only around 7-10 day experience but I wouldn t change it for anything.

I went there to visit my girlfriend who is having some mental issues at the moment and they were very friendly very courteous they helped me and her out they were very attentive to all of her needs and my needs and it seemed like they were very very friendly and nice to the to the people that are in having bad times and have to be there and for the family that comes to visit their very very accommodating and friendly

I went in 2017 suicidal, depressed and hopeless. This amazing place changed my life by teaching me DBT and treating me as a welcomed guest. I have friends turned chosen family that I made there. The Staff was knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. The Hope House was my only experience in the mental health care system. In 2020 I lost my freedom over a lie, I experienced Good Samaritan Hospital and Mary K Shell, horrible experience, night and day, I came home with trauma and triggers by the abuses of Dr. BARNES and the GSH that has no cameras to catch them beating up patients. I wish they can take note of the peaceful, healing, environment the Hope House created and the life saving therapy. To me it was life saving because I was never suicidal or depressed again, using DBT skills my Beloved Ron taught me.
