So this has been my first ever experience with any type of rehab facility and honestly purpose healing saved my life. All the BHTS Omar , Chambree, loy, Mario, Tony, Aaron, Suzanna, Stephan are all down to earth straight forward individuals and they have been in our shoes which made them easy to relate and talk to. The knowledge that I gained there is invaluable. The mental and emotional growth I endured is amazing. The facility itself is clean. The whole environment promotes growth. Definitely the best choice I've made.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

The initial phase of recovery treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care in Arizona. This constant supervision ensures a safe detox process, which helps the individual physically stabilize from substance use. Patients will receive medications to curb withdrawal symptoms and cravings, as well as other necessary medical treatment. This period typically lasts up to a week, then the individual will receive medical clearance to begin inpatient or outpatient rehab.

The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery and those who are exiting detox programs. It's ideal for clients in crisis or at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and meals, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from distractions and addiction triggers. Clients engage in intensive psychotherapy, and many inpatient programs feature recovery-focused life skills training and/or complementary therapies like meditation, creative arts therapy, and other holistic treatments.

Intensive inpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level support for clients in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient rehabs, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically includes rigorous individual, group, and family counseling. Evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, are widely available. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided. Clients in IOP receive a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week but may engage in up to 20 treatment hours weekly.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers a short-term alternative to inpatient treatment or a step-down option after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you'll receive 6 to 8 hours of daily support, up to 5 days a week. The duration of a partial hospitalization program can vary with the average length being 90 days. While commuting is necessary, some programs also offer telehealth options. PHP treatment is often covered by insurance and typically offers medication management, relapse prevention techniques, and behavioral therapy.

Many clients who enroll in an outpatient rehab program are exiting intensive inpatient care and no longer require such high-level clinical supervision. Outpatient programs typically follow a step-down structure, with treatment frequency and intensity decreasing as clients progress in their recovery journey. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care are the most time-intensive and are designed primarily for clients who have just left inpatient treatment or who are at an elevated risk of relapse.

Many addiction recovery centers base their treatment modalities on the 12 step program model, and those in treatment often transition to community-based programs. These programs can also be effective for clients who choose not to enter rehab. Traditionally, 12 step meetings are designed to provide intensive peer support whenever it is needed. In addition to group meetings and peer sponsorship, participants "work the steps" to achieve recovery through a systematic healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism and alcohol addiction, is a chronic condition that involves craving alcohol and an inability to control drinking. A person with AUD must drink greater and greater amounts of alcohol to achieve the same effects and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they stop drinking alcohol. Several evidence-based methods are available to treat AUD through alcohol rehab in Arizona. This treatment can occur on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Arizona's substance abuse treatment centers can provide tailored treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Treatment programs may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step recovery, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Addiction experts employ evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and talk therapy to uncover and reframe unhelpful patterns. By graduation, you'll have developed new coping strategies, learned new stress management techniques, and have the capability of sustaining your recovery.

Dual-diagnosis addiction treatment in Arizona provides integrated care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Services may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step recovery, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Addiction experts use evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy, to simultaneously address substance use and mental health disorders. This comprehensive approach to treatment helps to ensure sustained recovery.

Treatment for addiction includes mental health services that are provided while during your stay at the facility. This may be a hospital, clinic, or a luxury treatment center setting. You receive 24-hour support and monitoring by mental health counselors and clinical staff. Most inpatient programs last 30 days, but some can last for two months or longer. Mental health is addressed during treatment via group and individual counseling, addiction education programming, and often recreational activities.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Also known as CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arizona is one of the most common types of psychotherapy. It offers a structured method of counseling that effectively treats substance use disorder and dual diagnosis disorders.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

While there is no medicine to cure an eating disorder, eating disorder treatment in Arizona may include medications to address co occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety. These medications, combined with psychotherapy and nutrition education, provide the best comprehensive treatment for disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

In Arizona, group therapy helps promote accountability and motivation for men and women who want to stay committed to addiction recovery. It fosters a sense of community where you can share your progress and learn new coping strategies from your peers.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction includes focused attention on the unique challenges that trigger addictive behavior. During individual therapy sessions, you have a safe space in which to discuss stressors and emotional struggles. Therapy fosters trust and open communication that helps develop personalized strategies to overcome addiction.

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

The goal of motivational interviewing in Arizona is to enhance your confidence in your ability to make changes in your life. It encourages you to commit to change and plan for the process of making those changes that will allow you to reach your goals.

Rational behavior therapy (RBT) is used in addiction recovery in Arizona to teach you how to recognize and modify distorted thinking patterns. Using cognitive and behavioral techniques, you learn to manage negative emotions, reduce cravings, and develop constructive coping mechanisms that support long term sobriety.

Trauma therapy focuses on helping you understand and manage emotional and physical responses to past trauma. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience. This helps reduce your anxiety and gives you greater control over your life.

Sadly my son has been in treatment three times now, but this was a horrible experience and I would say traumatic. He was in detox here and had to go to ER for a throat problem. While he was there they decided he would stay overnight at hospital, but doctor said he did not need too. The treatment center released him and gave away his bed. At 130 am he was released and told to come back from hospital and get his things. They put him on the street on a Friday evening at 130 in the morning. When i talked with them they were not honest and story did not collaborate with hospital at all. It was disappointing and scary. I think this place is for a different kind of client.... Fortunately there was social worker who witnessed the entire thing and got my son placed at another center within an hour. We are so grateful for the good samaritan that stepped up. I would not rec this place to anyone and am considering further action with the state on this. The hardest thing was the lack of honesty or accountability. It looked great and we were so excited as he had made the decision on his own to pursuit this. HUGE Disappointment. This is such a tough road and I wish all success and peace going through this.

Let me first start off by saying the DETOX center was AMAZING, BUT THAT'S WHERE THE AMAZING ENDED. On 4-29 I was released from the DETOX center to a 30 Day RTC for purpose Healing. A man named Johnny and a guy that was shadowing him came to pick me up. I won't even get into the ludicrous conversation that took place between these two. ( Think 6th grade locker room ) Anyways, while doing my intake Johnny was at it again with his delusions of grandeur (later Chris and the other tech agreed with me that was an accurate description of him) saying, "yup that's Johnny" anyways, Johnny begins to brag about using another techs nervousness about starting at the job against him and purposely prodded and made fun of "Chris" to the point of getting him physically sick on one or more occasions. I verbally stated how "wrong" I thought he was for getting his jollies off messing with other people's emotional state. I believe there's a word for that! "Psychopath" anyways, he then tried to clean it up and stated, " oh he knows I was just messing with him" to with which I replied with a simple nod to say, "yeah, sure he did, bully" . So, 5 days sober from a sick one I'm now in the care of a place with a bully and quite possibly even more. It got even worse when two days later, I'm having a telehealth meeting with a psych provider and Johnny walks in with another client. They start talking about something and I look to Kim and Alejandra, the nurse on the computer screen and tell her. "well I guess the meeting is over since there's other people in the room" COMPLETE HIPAA VIOLATION!! Johny then notices the error and vacates the room with the other client in tow. Later on the phone he would tell me, "oh, I didn't know you were on with the psych provider" (there's a blackout period so why would I just be kicking back on a laptop in the medical dispensing room) Nothing was ever told me about discontinuing any of my meds. The next day I asked where my pain meds for my Degenerative Disc Disease, chronic back pain and I'm told my meds were discontinued after detox and that I was alerted to this. Not once did anything of that sort take place. When I explained to Chris my concerns, he said I'll call, later Johnny lied about it and said he didn't take the client in the room and that he was "there" when Alejandra told me she was discontinuing my pain meds... Which one was it Johnny, were you there or not?? That call took place at around 7 later that evening AFTER THEY HAND OUT NIGHTTIME MEDS AND MY SLEEPING MEDS I get called into the office and Chris states to me me that "they" told him to discharge me. I asked him what for? He said, "Aggression" and told me I had 30 minutes to pack my stuff. I couldn't believe that Johnny would stoop to this level. So I started packing, I asked where they were dropping me off and they said some hospital down the road. I advised him that I didn't have any money for bus fare. He did not care, I asked if I could leave a bag of my belongings that I could not carry to retrieve at a later date under (72 hrs) Chris made a call and was told he could not let me do such a thing. I was forced to leave a pair of brand new Nikes,a pair of dress shoes, multiple sheets a pillow, like a lot of my personal stuff and decide what I could carry and had to "just leave there". At 10:38 PM They dropped me off at a hospital on Scottsdale Rd and somewhere. The last stop on the Scottsdale Rd bus line. WITH NO MONEY. DO NOT ALLOW AHCCCS TO PAY THEM MONEY. THEY DO NOT CARE ONE BIT. Again, DETOX CENTER WAS AMAZING DO NOT USE THE PINNACLE VISTA RTC EVEN IF IT DOES HAVE A POOL (WHICH HAD MUSTARD ALGAE I MIGHT ADD).
