Office is uncooperative with writing of psychiatric scripts, even when the appointment was made and then will direct to high plains urgent care for medical treatment. This is beyond the third time we have been told to go there. Incompetent care-giver who won’t hold up their own accordance’s made.

I'm trying them again I hope Brianna is better than Nicole and Jessica from Tehachapi. They were unprofessional and not patient when patience is a must when dealing with mental people like me. I filed a grievance against Jessica to Miranda and Miranda was helpful and understanding. I met Breeonna Friday was very nice and have a zoom meeting tomorrow with her. Remember Jessica and Nicole from Tehachapi are the worst.Breeonna has been sick for a long time and so has my recovery coordinator but I reached out to the office and asked for a fill in therapist and Amber has really helped me with my coping skills. I pray for a recovery for Breeonna and my RC so I can say great things about my RC that I haven't had a chance to work with yet. Only met her once

I was a patient at DFC rehab facility and recently graduated. I can say hands down they saved my life . Not only did they teach me about alcoholism and what it means to be in recovery . i developed long time friendships that i know will help me to stay sober . i also loved how caring the staff where. I wasn't the easiest patient at first but with their love and support i was able to not only become a recovering alcoholic but i have become a whole new person . I would highly recommend going here if you or a family member is still struggling

This was my second tine in DFC outpatient treatment, the reason I chose DFC was their teaching, there, client, and the friendly environment. I have been to many treatment centers in my past when I knew in my heart I was serious about recovering from drugs and alcohol. There was no other place that I wanted to go other than Design For Change. They give group and individual counseling tailored for the individual which helped me tremendously. They help me find out what I want and how to go about getting it in the group setting they don’t allow disturbances. They make sure everyone is focused. An attentive, which makes it easy to learn. DFC, my wife says thank you for giving her her husband back.

The moment I arrived at Quest, I felt safe and assured. During the first 72 hours, I felt comfortable. I knew that this place was different and better than any other treatment center I've been to. Awesome nurses and mentors were so accommodating and encouraging. The therapist, my case worker and group facilitators were professional yet personable. I felt that all my personal needs, both physical and emotional, were met. I very much appreciate that most of the staff fought through the fire, of active addiction, then came back to rescue the rest of us. I will absolutely, recommend Quest 2 Recovery to my friends and even my family.

The Aegis Treatment Center on 21st Street, Bakersfield CA. is a well run facility with very few hiccups in the daily routine. The front desk nurses are informative and efficient in there duties, as are the nurses that handle distribution of the meds.(Very professional). The counseling staff are well educated and experienced in there positions. Not to be forgotten how well management runs the show. This clinic has my good recommendation because of the professional and friendly personable nature of the whole staff.

I have seen SO many ways and means to get clean, and most agencies in this town are corrupt to the core, HOWEVER....
This place has been spectacular. Staff are so helpful and nice.
Front desk staff: cheerful and helpful Even at 5AM. with a line of ex-users being grumpy at them. //Hey users, if you can wait at a connects place for 2 hours just to get a dime, you can control it here//
Nurses: swift and efficient, Also in a good mood at 5AM. Anyone who says different is just wrong...ladie you simply crush it even a long line moves fast with you all there.
Counsellors: I can't say enough here, so simply put, Ariana - I wouldn't have come this far without you, serious, whomever gets you after your move is lucky beyond words. And now Tenaya let's keep it going, so far so great.
THANK YOU one and all. I NEEDED serious help, and got an entire team of serious help. I now have the rest of my life, and not a gravestone.

I would describe my experience with Action IOP like a rollercoaster, all because of my own actions. When I got out of Action Residential I wanted to change my life, but I didn't want to stop using. Because of that, I went in and out of IOP, but never once did the counselors OR the clients judge me. They all excepted me with open arms. There was never judgement in the groups or in individual counseling. I can just speak on my own experience, walking through that door, it's like a sense of acceptance and meditation. The counselors, and clients alike, all just want to see the next person to walk through the door make it; because the disease of addiction is deadly. It was the counselors at Action IOP that helped me see that using really was life or death for me, and that I could live a beautiful life without the influence of drugs. I became so excited for groups that I even attended some 3 months after I graduated! The counselors never let anyone walk through that door without giving them a bit of their time, and they never let anyone exit that door feeling defeated. They all are so absolutely dedicated to their "job", because to them it's not a "job"; it's about helping the addict who still suffers.

I have tried the other Aegis locations & quit going due to how long the wait was & how insensitive and unsympathetic the staff was especially at the Columbus location. The Aegis on Truxtun is fast very discrete clean. The staff is so nice, welcoming, sympathetic & very understanding to the patients needs. I felt welcome & heard when I voiced some concerns I had. The doctor is very nice & treats you like a human being & not less than.

I was initially nervous and apprehensive about starting treatment, as I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, scheduling an appointment was seamless, and I was admitted the following morning. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional, immediately putting me at ease.
One of my biggest concerns was the fear of being judged, but I am grateful to say that I experienced nothing but understanding and support. The facility itself is impeccably maintained—clean, elegant, and situated in a beautiful location. The atmosphere is calm and private, which was particularly beneficial for my recovery journey.
Attending treatment here has truly changed my life. The privacy and comfort of morning visits allowed me to focus entirely on my healing. I am deeply thankful to the staff for their dedication and care. After beginning treatment, I experienced immediate relief from withdrawal symptoms and finally feel as though I have regained control of my life.

It’s a good program. You need to be motivated. If you follow the rules and complete inpatient they can get you into one of their sober livings which is way better than the ones you pay for. They offer everything you need to be successful, MAT services, therapy, psychiatrists, nurses and meds. They’ll help you with anything you need, you just need a little patience.

I personally want to thank the techs and counselors for there professionalism and just being great people who relate with what I was going through. I definitely recommend to anyone who is serious about making a change.As I did. The 90 days I was there were not taking from me, they were given to me. Great facility and wonderful staff. I am currently doing their outpatient treatment and it has kept me sober. The engagement from staff, the daily lesson plans really help keep me focused on recovery. Would be nice to see them host community events and have opportunities for outreach that they facilitate. Overall it’s excellent.

I came to a point in my life where I was done with drinking and figured I knew nothing about sobriety
I could easily do 90 days to a year without Alcohol
Yet I could not sustain it. I reached out to my son who had spent sometime on the business side of recovery and knew of all the recovery centers in So Cal. He highly recommended Valley Recovery Center for which I’m grateful and appreciative of..
It was a big step and I was ready to be Sober.
It was a bit humbling for me but I was willing to do the work….Giving it all the percent I had
I really believe I did my 30 days with a really great group of gentlemen in recovery as well which the counselors kept commenting on the chemistry we had. And being the best group they had in a long time!!
The facility was top notch and I took full advantage of all the exercise equipment,weights, pool for swimming and the almost quarter mile circular driveway..They have a couple of steep hills on property as well..I lost 30lbs while I was there…
I took the opportunity to get fit while becoming sober of mind, spirit and body…and decided to make fitness part of my sobriety journey!!
Some of my recovery mates made comments like What’s up..I told them I was training for the fight of my life…The fight would be with sobriety when I left there…Funny how some of them started working out the same way!
The counselors, instructors,therapist and Dr.’s were great..Tough at times but great..I always got the feeling while there that they were always rooting for me!! I’ve been sober almost 3 years..I haven’t been perfect and had 2 falls that lasted less than a week each..I was able to right myself immediately from the thing I learned the most at VCR…To build a network around you in case you fall and for me stick to a routine of taking care of yourself…
The other thing that still sticks with me everyday was that day in recovery when I finally/truly learned the word shame ..I couldn’t even say the word…That was a real fight for me and took a couple of days to sink in but when it did and I came to understand it and admit it was the day that I no longer had that unknowing thing that gnawed at me and would get me all twisted at times and I would need to drink it away and reset my unconscious mind….
Anyways..Recovery is one step at a time and a great 1st step is wanting to be sober and the second great step would be toward Valley Recovery Center!!!
(Btw-One of the best things about being there is having a cook on hand for all 3 meals…The food while there was the best)
Also know if you choose this Sobering Journey that for me now..Everyday I wake up is the greatest day I’ll ever live..Best wishes to you!!

The staff here is helpful, accommodating and very gracious.
I couldn't have expected a better place than the Agua Dulce placement for my rehab program because the natural views alone were a big part of my rehabilitation.
The facilitators are awesome as well and I made connections there that I will keep forever 😎 There is a lot of fun outings that take away from the amount of work you have to do on yourself also.

Great place and it did work. Still sober from alcohol. I had to move to this place halfway through my treatment due to the Malibu fire that destroyed the awesome cliff side treatment center.
I did have some problems but over all it worked. Do not have your family come to the family visits my family did not have a good experience and we still have problems because of what was said to them. Kara knows her stuff but keep her away from you family. Joe is great!

I entered Cycles of Change thinking the only problem I had was with abusing drugs and alcohol. But really I had no idea how to live life sober until I started working with my counselor. Which was the next day. The staff are extremely hands on with every client. I was shocked at how hands on each staff member was with every client. They loved me when I didn't love myself. Cycles of Change showed me a new way of life, they introduced to me the 12 Steps of recovery through the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. I have never been a reader but I found myself not being able to put the book down. I honestly can't thank Cycles of Change enough for saving my life, and showing life is worth living without drugs and alcohol. Today I have 2 years clean and sober and my life is so amazing today. I never thought I could stay sober an hour better yet 1 year. Of course I have good days and bad days, but I have tools to deal with life today.
