I would describe my experience with Action IOP like a rollercoaster, all because of my own actions. When I got out of Action Residential I wanted to change my life, but I didn't want to stop using. Because of that, I went in and out of IOP, but never once did the counselors OR the clients judge me. They all excepted me with open arms. There was never judgement in the groups or in individual counseling. I can just speak on my own experience, walking through that door, it's like a sense of acceptance and meditation. The counselors, and clients alike, all just want to see the next person to walk through the door make it; because the disease of addiction is deadly. It was the counselors at Action IOP that helped me see that using really was life or death for me, and that I could live a beautiful life without the influence of drugs. I became so excited for groups that I even attended some 3 months after I graduated! The counselors never let anyone walk through that door without giving them a bit of their time, and they never let anyone exit that door feeling defeated. They all are so absolutely dedicated to their "job", because to them it's not a "job"; it's about helping the addict who still suffers.

I showed up to the out patient program pretty defeated and they recommended I come the day I got out of the 30 day program at the Action facility. Glad I took the advice because it helped make me more accountable for my actions and they helped give me the integrity I needed for the days there wasn't classes I could attend. I found myself looking forward to the 3 days a week I went to their meetings. It actually gave me something to look forward to on tuesdays, thursdays and Saturday's and the rest of the week is up to you what you choose to do. I would recommend action out patient to the world if I could. They helped me save my life

The Aegis Treatment Center on 21st Street, Bakersfield CA. is a well run facility with very few hiccups in the daily routine. The front desk nurses are informative and efficient in there duties, as are the nurses that handle distribution of the meds.(Very professional). The counseling staff are well educated and experienced in there positions. Not to be forgotten how well management runs the show. This clinic has my good recommendation because of the professional and friendly personable nature of the whole staff.

I have seen SO many ways and means to get clean, and most agencies in this town are corrupt to the core, HOWEVER....This place has been spectacular. I love this clinic, the staff are very friendly as well as the counselors are great and they don't judge you or your situation whatsoever, they truly care about what you're going through and try to help. I would recommend this place to anyone with a addiction problem. They will help you the same day or next day at the most, so call first set up appointment and go in, they have great hours for anyone who is working to make sure they can be helped as well, and they accept Medi-cal, which for me was heaven sent!

I am so thankful for the VA and especially the Tulare Clinic. We live in a country that takes care of it's veterans and, yes, there are some miscues, I've made a few myself, but I am still very thankful and the staff and doctors have given me the care I have needed. There are options, you can always go wait at a non-VA Dr. and wait there and pay for it out of your pocket. I've used my Tri-Care with some success but in the end I prefer my VA, both in Tulare and Fresno.

This Community Based Outpatient Center has helped me with a lot of physical/medical issues and I have always felt that they spent the needed time to address each one. They have always been respectful, and I have always responded with my respect for them. Doctor Lewis is a great practitioner and is responsive if needed. I know that our care was promised when we signed on the dotted line, but I did not expect the great care I have received at the CBOC.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST DECISION EVER!!!! I love this place so much. The day I walked through the doors of VRC I was scared confused and full of anxiety. I was promised to get the help I needed to make my recovery as easy as possible. All they asked of me was to show up and stay sober. They definitely delivered . I got blessed with the most amazing case manager "Sam". She was so caring and willing to go above and beyond to help me succeed in my recovery. Sam was easy to open up to and made me feel comfortable going to her with my problems and concerns. I definitely consider her my "Bestie". Daily groups were fun and helpful. All staff at VRC made my recovery possible. Thank you Jay, Robbie, Alonzo, Kristin and Sam for being a blessing in my new life in recovery.

Man oh man Visalia Recovery Center has changed my path to life for the better! I came by court thinking it just is what it is and through being there. All the staff and their wise words and support changed my ways I could not think possible. They are extremely helpful and there for you no matter the circumstances. They really just want the best for us to succeed. I'm so glad God put them in my path. So proud to have their support forever now and them having to deal with me. Fantastic team! Thank you guys!!!
