About ABC DUI Services

Risk education is available to people of all ages and may include education on the effects that substance abuse has on families and individuals, how this affects your driving, and the DUI laws in Illinois. This information includes the associated penalties from the criminal justice system, blood alcohol concentration, the effect it has on driving performance and referrals to outside services.
When treatment is needed, counseling is available in individual and group settings. These sessions are evidence based therapeutic activities that are led by certified staff members. They work with major insurance providers and will take self payment as well.

Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.
