Gateway showed me the way to save my life! I'm going to talk about the app. I love it. I have had struggles with having a daily routine my whole life. This app is something I use daily. I take my son to the belleville location, he sees a counselor there and sees one of the psychiatrist for his medication needs. We haven't had any issues since coming there. My son really enjoys going to see his counselor, especially on the days the weather is nice and they go walk and tall outside. The ladies at the front desk have always been nice and helpful. And since seeing his psychiatrist there has been a huge improvement with his moods and behavior at home and at school. As of right now I'm a happy mom seeing where he's at now versus a year ago.

The Hamilton Center was founded for a good purpose, and has a good mission statement. Unfortunately greed, and having a real problem with how they handle people that they don't like is this place's two major problems/shortcomings. 10 years ago I became suicidal due to very low levels of hormones, and the symptoms associated with this problem, as well as the chronic sleep deprivation associated with this problem. Ironically according to a local endocrinologist it was some of the medicines that I was on that caused this issue. Well at the time the people working there didn't recognize this, and I was labeled the wrong way which really upset me, and I had some things to say about all of this that they didn't like. Rather than in trying to put themselves in my shoes and understand why I said what I did, they came back at me, after I said some of the things that I did. I started having the local police harass me, etc. The Hamilton Center works with the local law enforcement often. And they seem to have the mindset that if we don't like you, we will have the cops give you problems, even though you've done nothing wrong, and aren't a criminal. It's pretty sad what's became of this place. Hopefully someday they will get some good leadership who actaully care and aren't so money driven, and bullies. There's been a number of people that worked here that's quit after they refused to drink from the Kool-aid so to speak.

Hamilton center told my doctor I was going to kill myself. I wasn't going to do that I gave that up six years cause I realized God has a Purpose for me to stay alive. Long story short I was removed by force from my house to the mental hospital by cops cause I didn't go willingly. The Hamilton center told me that the hospital will meet my every day needs for my disability and that wasn't true. If I could afford a lawyer I would sue hamilton center

I'll never forget the feeling that I had when I walked into gateway in Springfield il. I was in terrible condition. The moment I walked through the door I had an overwhelming feeling that I was going to be ok and I was just where I needed to be. Mr. James sits at the front door. He's the most polite, well mannered, welcoming, man I've ever met in my life. My heart was so happy to see him. Nicest man I've ever met. From there it just kept getting better. I met Josh Ronan. He truly cared about me. He made me feel like I belonged. I finally belong somewhere. And that is a feeling I can't describe. Then I met James on the men's unit. He is a thors hammer of a man. He was wonderful also. He made my heart happy. My counselor was Rhonda. She went above and beyond to help me with all my needs. I highly recommend gateway in Springfield il to any and all needing assistance. This place helped to save my life. They gave you all the tools you need to recover. But they also give you time to do the real work yourself. Thank you gateway. My heart belongs to you.

Not an accepting place for the LGBTQ+ community, I lived here for a year 2020-2021 and was not accepted. My therapist (Amanda becks) refused to use my preferred name and pronouns. Nobody did anything about it, this isn’t a safe space for anyone who is transgender. They also told Wesley cottage that nobody was aloud to use my pronouns or name. I was also unable to switch therapists.My therapist said that me wanting them to use my preferred name and pronouns was a distraction from my other issues. A therapist is supposed to be there to support you and be a place to talk about what’s going on, not to be refusing to respect someone by what they go by, and have been going by before chaddock.
Chaddock needs to hire people who are educated and don’t discriminate people in the LGBTQ community. Chaddock made me feel even more depressed than I was to begin with. I hope nobody else has to go through what I went through because it was a horrible experience.

Great place to get help with opioid addiction Mrs. Bell the director is amazing person who truly cares about her patience. The nurses are amazing and listen and the counselors truly care all of them.( It's been three years since I left my first review of MedMark and I still feel it is an accurate review I would like to point out that there's rules that you have to follow when you're in treatment and a lot of people don't follow those rules and when they're held accountable they leave bad reviews. The rules are there to help you not only gets sober but stay sober and I can wholeheartedly say that the director Miss Bell and her staff truly care about each and every patient at that clinic. ..)

I entered harris house on january first this year... i didnt know what to expect when i entered. had some anxiety. i was there for 3 weeks, everyone was so compationate about my recovery i was impressed by that. i really like the fact that most all the counselors were former addicts themselves, and they knew what we were going through. ginny was my counselor and i met with her once a week. i have had alot of grief in my family. i lost 3 brothers. one at 22, the other at 37, and my other brother at 63. here at harris house, they gave me some tools to deal with my loss..i started drinking at age 18, until i got married at 30. i was sober for 14 years while married to my wife. well after we divorced i began drinking pretty much every day...well long story short, i had had enough of the damn alcohol and decided to get help. i just am so glad for harris house and how you all helped me...so thanks to you and your staff, i can get my life together sober. thank you so much and please keep helping others.. oh and by the way, the food is great as well...thank you.. signed jeff vance

I am a recovering IV heroin addict, I have struggled with maintaining sobriety and managing bipolar and anxiety. I have been going here for a few years now and I have been able to stay clean with MAT and consistently manage my mental health. I have seen a few different providers in my time there but they have all been amazing! I feel heard and safe and every there has your best interest in mind. I look forward to my appointment every month. Everyone from the receptionists to the pharmacy and providers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Doing the hard work in therapy is the key. I've been through physical and mental therapy, and likewise with both, you get out what you put in. Whether it's psych, therapy, group sessions, a skills coach...as much as you can engage in, dig deep and show up.
My road has been rough and the journey isn't over, and it feels good to have a team under one roof, along with a group of peers I see every week whom can actually empathize with me, because they're going it through it too.
It's a place with real people. Have I had an occasional communication/scheduling blip? Yes, but it's extremely rare. And the environment is appropriate for what the setting is, which I appreciate.
The support staff is friendly and helpful. The practioners that have helped me, including Wyeth, Julie, Lacy, and Alicia, along with the peer group, have been great.
I highly recommend their services.

N.P Miles, Kaitlyn, and Dr. Cooper have been absolutely amazing from day 1. N.P. Miles listens, plans, and makes adjustments to meds when something is feeling off or if there's a crisis going on in my life (too many to count). She thoroughly explains my care plan in a way that I can understand. You can tell that they genuinely care about the patient's well-being in this office. It's definitely a rare find these days. I don't think that I would have gotten through my "getting shot crisis," or any other "crisis," for that matter, without the care that this office has given me. I could not recommend this office more!

I enjoy working with my Psychiatrist and Therapist.
They are warm and welcoming. I did not feel judge or uncomfortable speaking to them.
My only complaint was having to wait a year to start seeing the Therapist, however I was able to start seeing my Psychiatrist right away.
Also I use the pharmacy at the CCC, Genoa. The keep track of my prescriptions and will refill them when needed and let me know they are ready to pick up. I never have to work about running out if I forget to get the refill.
