About Aldersgate – Counseling Services
Aldersgate – Counseling Services is a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. They treat people of all ages for a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. They provide drug and alcohol use prevention services in local schools as well as intervention services for teens. Mandated Programs
People who are convicted of Driving Under the Influence of drugs or alcohol in the State of Pennsylvania must take Alcohol Highway Safety School classes. This facility provides these classes. You will learn about the effects of drugs and alcohol on your body and decision-making ability. You must be referred by the court or your attorney.
They have an education program for kids who use drugs or alcohol as well. Kids are taught decision-making skills. They learn about the legal and social consequences of using or selling drugs and alcohol.
Kids who have been charged with drug-related crimes are often court-ordered into treatment. However, if you feel that your child has a drug problem, you can make a referral yourself.
Prevention Education

Outpatient Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
