(This is a long one) I ve had my fair share of therapists before and each time it was a crash and burn situation. It never worked out for me, I always felt like it was too much. I pushed it off until it smacked me in the face. I can genuinely say EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER DOWN TO THE RECEPTIONISTS ( especially Kaela, dr. Nelson, Greg & Nicole for me) welcomed me with opened arms at a time I needed it most. I never not once felt judged nor put down. I was held accountable each step of the way and able to express myself. Each one of them taught me a lot about my triggers, my attachment styles, my anger, the work I had to put in on my self and just the really understanding and loving the overall person I am. They taught me to identify why I was using bad habits to cope with my feelings.I really don t have the words to explain how much they have helped me. If so I would be here all day. Let me try to sum it up.I had never been to therapy long term(some therapists just wouldn t call back). I had never been on medication for my mental health(I would gas light myself and create bad habits to cope). I was in therapy for about a year and a half with kaela, Greg and dr Nelson. Some days I wish I had never left(I moved out the state). Dr. Nelson always listened to me, he helped me understand what was going on mentally. During my time he worked with me to find medications that helped me function daily. It wasn t easy but he never gave up and he never pushed me to take anything I didn t like or want to be on. Greg helped me to look within. He taught me not to bottle up my emotions and how to express what I m feeling in a better way than I was. I have to give my props to Kaela for dealing with me the longest tho. Instantly I clicked with her. She really sets the bar high when it comes to a therapist for me. She listened to me yap on and on and she didn t make me feel like I was a burden with my weekly visits. I actually looked forward to going to my visits.. even when I went back on my word. She didn t make me feel ashamed of myself(No one there did) She always remembered everything, even when I didn t. She made me hold myself accountable for my actions, as she did also. I loved that about her most. She didn t let me slip. She helped me realize why I was doing certain things or why I was reacting the way I would and what they could ve stemmed from. Other therapists didn t do what they did for me mentally, even spiritually. Everyone at Caron is like a family to me at this point. I recommend everyone to come to Caron. All my friends, family, strangers. They made me realize therapy and asking for help wasn t bad after all. If you needed a sign. This is it.

First time visiting this place for my spouse physical examination. Easy to recognize the main entrance and very near to the parking lots.Plenty of parking. Not that busy day on Friday as there are not much visitors.Clear signs for navigating to the check-in. Easy check-in on iPad with just last 4 digits of phone number. They suggested to bring insurance and photo id but they never asked for any. Hope they got it from another the profile in other tower health group.Directed us to waiting room which were clearly mentioned such as A, B, C, D, E on each each room.Didn't take much time in waiting room. Practitioner came and took to the observation room. Waiting room is spacious with lots of chairs to sit.Checkout seems must. We just started walking out without doing that but the person sits there called us and asked for checkout as we did check-in.Checkout completed by just asking the name & doctor. They gave next visit date and also the summary of the visit.MyChart app is so good to access all information.Doors are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible Parking also available.Overall had a good experience with the first time visit.

They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. Additional levels of care | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I want to first say the negative reviews are false but everyone has an opinion and their allowed to.
I'm 54 and found myself in a mental health crisis situation and I was lost, confused, mishandling my medication among many other that was until I found Tower during the month of April 2025.
I was unsure of what this would bring as a first time for me and what started out as a disaster because of myself ended in myself saying should I ask to stay a bit longer because of the help I was receiving which YOU must want .I'll break it down in a few parts.
Admission was flawless however because you're in a different state of mind you may feel otherwise.
Food was of average portion because having a facility with this amount of people can't afford waste and you receive a portion of each food group.
Structure which if you don't have would be a mess which Tower has structure.
Cleanliness yes turnover rate at anyplace like Tower creates wear and tear which you may see a bit of but Tower addresses those issues and I found everything to be clean.
TECHS,NURSES,DOCTORS
They are unbelievable if I had to thank everyone I'd be here for hours however techs are amazing on 5s Dom is the man but to every tech thank you so much for going above and beyond you always stopped and listened you never were rude shout out to the Parland Trojan you know who you are.
All nurses on 5s thank you from the bottom of my heart you always made sure every med questioned was answered and was on top of everything Melissa thank you for spending time on the phone with my wife about my meds at 11pm so kind I can't remember their names other then jo and Melissa but to all you're the best.
Dr Chris thank you I really mean that I can't even describe how thankful I am.
Kaila Thank you,you gave me so much detailed information before I left you're amazing.
To the group therapists don't change anything it's good stuff
So here it is.
IF YOU WORK THE PROGRAM it will reward you .If you're their and going to give bad reviews for food,or staff,or because you think it's suppose to be you're vacation you're probably going to be dissatisfied because it's impossible to cater to just you.
TOWER THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE,MY FAMILY AND FOR CARING WHEN I LOST ALL HOPE
If you cared for me you'll understand not only did I make my daughter's show but with 1 day of rehearsal as an added bonus

I will continue to leave good reviews for this place as each one of my stays here have been very impactful for my journeys. I arrived on 12/26/24 and stayed until 1/9/25 and 5 South has continued to be a very great supporting group of professionals to help get my medications on track to help me each time. Tower Behavioral Health has been so great that in 3 years, I plan to work there as a psychiatric nurse. With my experiences in psych wards, I plan to use my knowledge to help many individuals beat depression and deal with their suicidal thoughts with better coping skills and support. Thank You TBH in giving me hope to use my past psychiatric experiences to show how I can improve the mental health world and see a fun and positive future up ahead for myself with great goals and opportunities in my near future.

Providers I have seen are all super nice and really seem to care about your wellbeing. It is easy to make appointments and for the most part you can get in pretty quickly, especially if it is urgent. The wait times for specialists tends to be shorter than what you would get on the civilian side. The one complaint I do have is that not all departments are great about calling you back, sometimes you have to call many times.

Amazing staff! I brought my father to the VA emergency room and he was admitted. I know everyone always has criticism and never seem to give praise when due, but I just had to write a review expressing how wonderful everyone Is at this hospital. From the minute we arrived at the emergency room, my father received excellent attention and help. The staff, nurses and doctors were unbelievable. I don t know the names of all the people who assisted us, but I would like to give praise and gratitude to Hannah, our emergency room nurse and Sarah, my father s hospital nurse. I truly hate to omit any names, but everyone who came in contact with my father and contributed to his care should be commended. In furtherance, please recognize that all these employees are physically in the VA hospital, working hard not working from home. In my opinion EVERY government employee, like the VA employees, should be in their respective offices and accountable to the taxpayers.(Note: am writing under a friend s account as I can t seem to access mine and wanted to share my experience.)

Reading is the 70th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $59906. This is higher than the average cost of $56708 for addiction treatment in Pennsylvania and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Reading vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Reading. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Reading that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Reading.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Reading, with 3 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 2 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 2 drug rehabs.
Reading has the 69th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Berks county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Reading or Berks county as a whole.
