The nurses are a 100/10! They have activities throughout the day like music (one of the nurses had a ukelele and it’s very good at it) that was the best part of my day, music time! Sometimes we were allowed to go to the yard depending on the weather. There’s also a room with a lot of board games and in the common area you can sit and watch tv… Rooms and bathrooms were always clean. Sometimes we received Rutger’s students that went there to talk to us and have a little feel of the field they’re studying which was also nice. They hear you out, I wanted to try a lower dose on my medicine and they were very understanding and tried that out for me. If you guys see my review, YALL ROCK!!!!! And I’m beyond grateful for everything you guys did for me. I had no problem with their intake and sign up to their clinic. I never had problems with canceling or making a new appointment. I call and they pick up, hear what you have to say and do it with no problem. I came in with a positive mindset, open to any and everything they had to offer and was able to really take advantage of it all. One thing I am most grateful for is the environment and community that grew my positive energy. Everyone from my APN, Dee, my therapist, Michael who I have learned so much from. Jose, my case manager who has always went above and beyond to facilitate any other needs I had. And for Melvin who always was a leader and ready with a smile and positivity. I always felt comfortable and connected. It was always easy for everyone and myself yo be able to engage in group settings and that is a credit to the vibe and energy of each one of the therapists who ran each session. Doctors and nurses here are so so nice. Even the janitors and meal delivery persons asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything. The room is also very well kept, clean and organized. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. I had a mid fossa craniotomy to patch a hole over my superior canal where bone did not develop. The results, even though this is day 2, are amazing. I no longer feel like dying is a better option. My vertigo is not as bad as it was. It was done by Dr. Bigelow and Dr. Moshel. The bad reviews seem to come from the ER and pedes. Just a reminder, the ER is meant to only triage bad symptoms. At odd times, sometimes there is understaffing. All the staff I've interacted with have been kind, professional, and personable, from the nurse that wiped my ass to the nurse that removed my catheter lol. There's a great selection of food.
