About High Focus Centers Freehold Outpatient Treatment Center

Mental health treatments for adolescents are for ages 10-17 and are focused on improving their mental health. For adults, they offer proven treatment models that can address a wide range of issues such as substance use disorders, mental illness and co-occurring diagnosis. Each client at High Focus Centers will have a tailored treatment plan to guide their journey to recovery.

I like that they provide transportation to teens living within a 15-mile radius of the center. I also like that their team will verify your insurance coverage during your initial phone intake. They’ll explain your out-of-pocket costs and offer a treatment recommendation. They are in-network for most major insurance providers.

Many former clients highly recommend High Focus Centers in Freehold. Some say that they or their loved one had tried previous treatment options without success but found sustainable progress thanks to this facility.

High Focus came into my life at the right time. I was really hurting and dealing with major depression due to some tough life circumstances. High Focus gave me my life back. Their staff was so welcoming and kind. My clinician Taylor was so incredibly helpful and challenged me in all the right ways to get the growth I needed out of the programs. The groups were educational, foundational, and very easy to understand. I leaned so much in my time there. I couldn't recommend High Focus enough to anyone struggling. If you put in the work, High Focus can work for you! :)

High Focus has been pivotal to my success in understanding, as well as coping with my mental health. I have gone through the program twice in 5 years and this time around was fantastic. Kellie my clinician was excellent, she was compassionate, understanding, and really pushed me when I desperately needed to be pushed. All the clinicians who ran the groups were fantastic, Karyn, Ashley, Taylor, Kellie, Kendall, you all have made such positive impacts on my life. I can’t recommend high focus enough to those out there who are struggling mentally. I’ve been through Princeton house prior, and High Focus is far and away the best program around.

High Focus Centers Freehold Outpatient Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Many patients who graduate intensive outpatient programs have flourished in the group setting and wish to continue in the milieu at a lower level of care. Others may be working with an outpatient substance abuse professional in the community and wish to complement their individual counseling with a weekly group session.

The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program at High Focus Centers helps the individual to remain abstinent, engage in the twelve-step recovery process, and return to a normal, productive life. Treatment is comprised of individual, group, family and educational therapies, all integrated within the context of the twelve-step model of recovery. They provide day and evening programs 2-5 days a week for 3 hours per day, as well as a comprehensive family program, a Saturday relapse prevention program, and psychiatric evaluations and follow-up sessions, as needed.

Clients in a rehab aftercare program have typically completed detox and intensive inpatient and are medically stable. These programs are designed to address addiction recovery as a life-long process. Outpatient counseling and recovery education are typically categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive support after being discharged from formal outpatient treatment. Case managers and recovery teams facilitate clients' access to peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program induction, and related services.

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

A drug intervention in New Jersey is more than a confrontational conversation. This organized effort is specific and goal-oriented. During the intervention, family members share specific examples of how the person's addiction has impacted their lives and spell out what they will do if the individual does not get treatment. The intervention also presents a clear treatment plan, which typically involves input from intervention services.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term, intensive outpatient option designed for those with moderate to severe addictions who don't require 24-hour care. PHP treatment is often fully covered by insurance and provides structured programming (i.e. individual and group therapy). A typical partial hospitalization program can meet 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 20 hours, offering intensive treatment during the day while allowing you to return home after. PHP treatment duration can vary based on your progress but averages 90 days.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

Many individuals suffer from both substance abuse and psychiatric disorders simultaneously. The initial assessment at High Focus is designed to identify the nuances that these patients present and offer a proper diagnosis so that the optimal treatment course can be pursued. A comprehensive program has been designed for individuals with a dual diagnosis which includes a weekly psychiatry session, a specialized psycho-educational curriculum designed specifically for the co-occurring population, group therapy interventions and DBT skills training. Co-occurring patients are given random, supervised drug screens.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

You can find comprehensive substance abuse treatment in New Jersey in drug and alcohol rehabs. These treatment programs typically provide a full continuum of care including medically assisted detox, inpatient, outpatient, dual-diagnosis, and intensive outpatient. With a comprehensive substance abuse evaluation, addiction experts provide individualized treatment plans to meet your specific needs. These programs address substance use disorders using evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), individual and family counseling, and recovery support groups.

Programs

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational interviewing helps clients find their motivation to change. It can be an effective method to work with clients who are angry or hostile or feel insecure about their ability to make changes in their lives. It is often used during addiction treatment or to manage physical health conditions.

Dialectical means opposing. The premise of dialectical behavior therapy is to learn how two things that seem to be opposite can actually be true. You learn how to accept yourself while also making changes. The focus is on accepting your emotions and changing how you manage them.

Family therapy sessions address addiction related conflicts and other issues between members of the family unit. By strengthening communication and coping skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment, the family can help support their loved one's recovery.

Trauma therapy provides a structure to approach healing from past traumatic events that you may have witnessed or experienced. Your therapist will work with you to identify and process these memories. This helps promote a sense of safety and stability and helps you heal emotionally.

Building life skills allows you to demolish negative patterns of behavior and build new, healthy patterns. By building new thought processes, coping strategies, and behaviors, you establish a solid foundation for recovery.

I only completed the program today, but High Focus was the best experience of my life, truly, and I cannot recommend and speak more highly of it enough. The clinicians are amazing at their jobs and they truly care about the work they are doing and about the group members. The lessons are extremely helpful, especially if you really take them in and High Focus provides all of the tools you need to learn distress tolerance, emotional regulation, coping skills, etc. Jade, Caryn, Taylor, Kellie, Kendall, Ashley, and Cassidy are all absolutely amazing clinicians and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me and the impact High Focus has made on my life. If you, or anyone you know, is struggling, I absolutely recommend contacting the Freehold location to schedule an intake. I am truly not just saying this, but if I did not find High Focus, I am not sure where I would be at mentally and emotionally right now. Even the APN is absolutely fantastic and will help get you stabilized if medication is needed, and Donna at the front desk is fantastic, too! The entire staff here are absolute angels and in comparison to other PHP/IOP programs available, High Focus is the best around! If you are struggling with just mental health, there is a track for that, but also if you are struggling with substance use/mental health, there is also a track for that which I think sets HF apart from any other program. I cannot thank the team enough for the impact they’ve made on my life, which I will always be grateful for, and for the confidence I have gained from attending here and knowing that I CAN continue on this path, but also knowing that they are always there if I need more support in the future. :)
